Mikey you look 100% Texan and a natural in your cowboy hat. You both look lovely. No one would ever know that you were not born and raised there if they did not hear your very British accent. Which is also very cool and unique. ♥
Without the accents, you look like native Texans, says a Michigan native. You guys look great in your hats! Looking forward, as always, to future videos, esp. Terry Blacks. Again, welcome to the USA. Proud you are here!
Mikey and Tasha, from a native Texan, you both look super in your cowboy hats and ya'll did well in getting what typically is the correct hat for the season. Felt cowboy hats which both you have are typically pulled out for wear in autumn through winter and straw cowboy hats for spring and summer season, but, you can wear which ever you feel best in, great job. We welcome you with open arms, heart, and love. Lots of love from a native Texan.
The best Restaurant in Fort Worth near the stockyards is Joe T. Garcias!!! You MUST try it closer to May or June. Gives you another reason to ho back to Fort Worth. The Fort Worth zoo is the best in Texas as is the Cowgirl Museum, botanical Gardens. There is a Steam train that goes fro Grapevine Texas to the Stockyards too. For hiking, go to the Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge. You guys passed the Dinosaur Valley State Park in Glen Rose, Texas. Great for mid spring to the end of june.
You both look great in your hats!! Maybe push it down a little more on your head if you can... the plaid shirt is perfect!! Tasha definately looks like a Texas girl!! Love her boots and her hat fits perfect!!! I was born and raised in rural Texas. A life event took me to Oklahoma when I was 40. At least I'm still more or less rural.
I actually spent the night at an RV park in Marlin, TX about 3 years driving across Texas on the way to New Mexico, the next morning we stopped in Waco to visit the Waco Mammoth national monument (covered dig site where you can see excavation of mammoth fossils)
You and your wife are blessings to both our nation and to Texas. Your love for us is equalled only by your love for you. It is a joy to watch your experiences and to see you exploring Texas. You are a beautiful couple and I can't wait for the day you both move into your house and become citizens! You have so many wonderful days ahead.
Shamrock Shake is Mint and vanilla but it use to be they would let you mix the mint with chocolate shake to make it better. Hopefully you start asking her Mom if she likes your sweaters instead of jumpers. 😂
i work in a kitchen, and so one night i was craving fried pickles. i decided to make some from scratch, mix flour, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper. it turned out great.
The fact that you know we and Houston dislike each other is amazing. Sorry you moved to the armpit, we accept you...and yes I had to rewrite this because I was too excited the first time.
i am so exited for you! I love being along with you, and redcovering things with you! Just remember, some things will not be what you hope they will, but you will like us, for sure, if you give us a chance! Love you guys!
Mikey,, I am so happy you went to Dallas, and fort wortless, and had a good time. I lived in Dallas for 4 years, and found some very good friends, to this day!
You both look great in the hats. I wouldn't be able to tell you're Brits at all unless you spoke to me. We went to Billy Bob's several years ago and had a great time. Do you know how to two-step? It's a lot of fun and very easy to learn if you don't already know how. Loved, loved, loved the video. TFS.
As a native Fort Worthian (no idea you guys were here!) I've got to say Fort Worth and Dallas are two different cities and don't touch each other. There is about 30 miles and cities between Dallas and FW. Happy you guys had a great time, hope you come up when we have better weather! We have fantastic museums and imo the best Zoo in the country...in fact some national publication agreed not long ago.
Dallas and Fort Worth are separate cities but due to their close proximity to one another, the area is referred to as the Dallas Ft. Worth Metroplex, or simply DFW for short.
Many moons ago they were separated by Arlington, but now they’re just one big sprawl. I think the DFW airport sits on what was once Arlington. Maybe that can help Mikey and Tasha get their geographical bearings. Our maps don’t always keep up.
@@courtneyraymer6586 It's called DFW airport because both cities cooperated in building it...but it's located in Tarrant county (same as FW) not Dallas county.
Keep your calendars open this fall for the State Fair in Dallas, and it’s even BETTER when you go during the Red River Rivalry when Texas and Oklahoma play each other. Not sure how much you know about college football, but Texas and Oklahoma is one of the biggest and oldest games and it’s nothing but disdain and bitterness. Soooo much fun!! 😂
Soon as you said your hotel was next to a Rudy's I knew exactly where it was XD I lived pretty close to there in Keller now I live in Granbury but I'm in Fort Worth a lot. My Papaw (grandfather) worked in the meat packing plant that is on the hill above the Stockyards that you can see from the maze/Riskys Barbecue which was directly behind you in the very first clip of the Stockyards!
The Stock Yards is a fun place. Right across from where you watched the cattle drive is where you can mount a horse for your own trail ride too. There are some shops in the back areas that aren't so expensive or touristy. Can't tell you are a Brit at all. Some make an artform out of how you wear a hat. But it doesn't matter.
Sundance Square just a short walk (or even shorter drive) directly south of the Stockyards is great in spring, early summer and late fall. (little too hot in July/August) outdoor music and movies, tons of restaurants/bars and shopping for more than tourist trinkets. Even some small museums as well. It's the place to be for safe adult nightlife (as in 35 and up) while the younger crowd prefers the West 7th entertainment district on the west side of the Trinity river.
Dallas and Ft. Worth don't really like each other. The former owner of the Ft. Worth Star-Telegraph newspaper, Amon Carter, said that "Ft. Worth is where the West begins; Dallas is where the East peters out."
Mike..."I don't know if their has every been a British person in this town." BRO Mike...BROette, Tasha...y'all are no longer British...you are Texans!!!! Texans with a lovely accent. But, the longer you stay here, our accent will rub off on you. Y'all will be saying "y'all" and "fixin' to" and "that ain't right" in no time!!! :) :) :) Cheers! xoxo
That’s just the middle part of Texas. In the east you hit the piney woods. And the west is the hill country. And along the coast we have beaches. Like I’ve always said. If Texas doesn’t have it, you really don’t need it. 😁
I want you to do a video talking about British words and the American word, such as we call it a gas station and the British call it a petrol station. Also do fast food restaurants in the UK have free refill machines for soda like we do here?
No one else said it, so I guess I will... If I am not mistaken, Tasha immediately won your game of pool. I believe the rules are :when breaking the balls, if you scratch... you lose. "Scratch" is the white ball in the pocket. I believe Mikey's ball went in the corner pocket... Sorry, Mikey.
Your in Texas. Now is the time open up your world and try having breakfast tacos. Just like Texas BBQ you are really going to love them. Rudy's makes GREAT breakfast tacos and chopped beef sandwiches for breakfast. You can buy them straight off the hot rack or have them made to your liking. Hardly any places have bad breakfast tacos since they are so easy to make !!!!
guys, come on lol nothing from mcdonald's is "great". that is literally our shittiest cheapest food in the entire country! *facepalm* WHY do people from the UK love our cheap unhealthy fast food?? I'll never understand this. There are so many better options. oh and about the portion sizes? the UK was doing it correctly. that's why America has an obesity epidemic and the UK (and pretty much everywhere not America) isn't. America has so many good things, but let's not call the bad things good.
that wasn't a real honky tonk. a honky tonk is basically the southern version of a dive bar, and if you want to see the REAL action, it'll most likely be found on private property in somebody's barn away from the prying eyes of the police lol you have to know somebody to go there. but having said that, the place you were at calling itself a honky tonk for the sake of appearances and marketing strategy did look like a very nice entertainment venue. that's why i know it's not a real honky tonk haha

I second that!!!
Don't worry you both rock the hats.

Hello Mikey, Happy Valentines Day to you and Tasha
❤️the hats
Happy Valentine's Day to you
You are right it was a great video.
Shamrock Shake is Mint and vanilla but it use to be they would let you mix the mint with chocolate shake to make it better. Hopefully you start asking her Mom if she likes your sweaters instead of jumpers. 😂
If I’m correct way back in the 1970s it use to be just green colored vanilla ice cream.
Y’all made excellent choices in your hats. They look great on you! 👍
The White Elephant Saloon is Known as CDs bar in Walker Texas Ranger that Chuck Norris started in.
Mikey rocks that hat!!

Mikey y’all are true Texans now y’all have the hat’s 🤣
You both look fantastic in cowboy gear. The cowboy hats look great. You are blending right in.
Really enjoyed this video

I've bought those seasonings, and they are amazing!!!
Mike, your hats both look great on you,. Don't even think that there's anything wrong. I say this as someone who grew up on a working ranch.

Love the hat you looked very handsome. Love the way the both of you are embracing the Texas way!
Ms. Tasha merges like a pro!! I hate merging into a freeway.😮
Love you two❤.
BTW, y'all both look awesome in your cowboy hats. I really liked Tasha's watch cap/beanie. And her vest was super cute.

I saw the Go Gos in concert at Billy Bob’s in either 1982 or ‘83. Still looks just like I remember it did.
Mikey you look like a true Texan 💯
That gunslinger was a pretty good John Wayne!!
🥰

They have another Terry Black's in that area. Goldee's BBQ is really good too.
The cowboy hats look like they were made for you guys.

Sir, you have to go at the right times! Off times will always disaprove at those towns, and etc,
Dallas and Ft. Worth don't really like each other. The former owner of the Ft. Worth Star-Telegraph newspaper, Amon Carter, said that "Ft. Worth is where the West begins; Dallas is where the East peters out."
No McFlurries. Go to Dairy Queen and get a mint oreo blizzard. MUCH better.
I bet that honky-tonk will be very busy at night.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Nice hats!!!!!

TRY THE HOUSTON RODEO, THEY LOTS OF SIDE INTERTAMENT.
We have tickets don’t worry haha
damn, Texas is flatter then Kansas. The hats look good.

What does that have to do with anything? Never mind.
I bought and delivered cattle to the stockyards. That was a little before Billy Bobs

Loving that you like it here in Texas and just a reminder that Texas is Trump country 😊
You just ruined the channel

Bro that hat looked good on you...
So when y'all going to the range?
You can shout Scotland and freedom all you want without offending me. Lol. I think Texans feel a huge kinship with the Scots.
The Alamo is a very small building so don't expect anything big/grand.
Ya got cowboy hats yeehaw
There are honky-tonks in the UK, Japan, Canada, & Mexico to name a few. So it is “World’s Largest.” And it’s not a pub.
You look like you belong in that hat and jacket.
Oh, by the way, here's a quick tutorial on how to wear your hat: ua-cam.com/video/2twGKdBgYJs/v-deo.html
You don't look like a foreigner trying to look Texan. I am looking at you east and west coasters.
Would I know y’all British? Not necessarily British?! But UK or EU, just from facial expressions. Other than that? You both pretty much fit in.
