Glad you two are realizing your destinies. Carry on. Your viewers love you two American sweethearts. True country and true future citizens of the U.S.A. If I may speak for many. We welcome you both.
For some countries the idea of getting food to take home is foreign to them, as in it’s not common for a restaurant to give a box. So they may not realize that basically almost every American restaurant has boxes for take home
Tasha Homemade Banana Pudding is so easy to make. Put a layer of vanilla wafers flat side down in a pan (I use throw away). Then a layer of bananas. I then mix a layer of Jello Vanilla pudding mix ( follow directions). Then then another layer of wafers, bananas, pudding. Put in the fridge to cool.
You should try a mix of banana cream and vanilla puddings! And I do a whipped cream/cream cheese/powdered sugar type mix in the middle and do a layer of pudding on that and do a whipped cream on top and my family LOVES it. 😋 if you are ever looking to mix it up, maybe try that. 😊
I guess they only want the big restaurants with the fancy decor. I suggested a locally-owned family restaurant that's been in Cypress since the 70s. Not fancy enough, I guess.
Hope you guys have a good life and stay for a very long time here in the US. Love your attitudes and positivity. Watching your videos makes me feel happier as an American 🇺🇸
I never eat an entire meal at a restaurant. I even tell the waitress to bring me a take-home container when I order!!! I can definitely get several meals from that. I'd weight 300# if I ate it all in one sitting.
I’m glad you found a favorite barbecue!! No it’s not weird to enjoy music… I have my favorites as well on my playlist!! Have you listen to chicken Fried by the Zac Brown band?! You’ll like that one keep on enjoying Texas! Stay safe!!
The pie you tried looked like coconut cream, it's very popular. If you guys liked Spring Creek BBQ, I can't wait for you to try great BBQ, like Terry Black's or Franklin's in Austin.
Check out Texas Monthly magazine, BBQ Edition.. Every 4 years they rate the barbecue joints across the state of Texas and publish the results in their magazine. There are several on the list in the Houston area. I believe the last one was published in 2021. Enjoy y'alls videos.
I agree that's a good general guide, but the top 5 seems to change year by year just for changes sake. It's also a general guideline and shouldn't be treated as a BBQ bible. The ones at the top are likely truly legit, but some towards the bottom could be fantastic most days yet the Texas Monthly crew happened to visit on a day where drastic outdoor temp changes affected the smokers...breaking in new employees etc. BBQ is extremely difficult to get consistent results every day year round.
If places don't have the giant Beef Ribs, go after everything else. If they have it, forget ALL OTHER MEATS. You should haven't any any room left! Brisket should be tried without sauce. Piggie ribs, with. "I'm really good at spice" - famous last words. Peppers change with the seasons - climate affects them - cold, hot, wet, dry. WHen you start frequenting TexMex joints with salsa ("Hot sauce and chips"), you'll discover cafes that seem to have changed their salsa recipe - no, it's just hotter with this week's supplies.
If you are in the Houston area try Damon's real Texas BBQ in Wharton TX Just down the road on 59 south from Houston. If you want to check them out first they have a UA-cam channel too. Welcome to Texas Brother, Matt from Needville TX
Lean brisket is usually very tough. I would try to find some mom and pop BBQ places. Those usually have the best BBQ. So glad you're loving Texas ! My grandson is thinking about going to school in Houston to become a airline mechanic so I may be coming down there to visit.
Also try the iconic Taste of Texas. It’s in the southeast corner of Katy Frwy & Beltway 8 on the feeder road. Traveling East or inbound exit onto feeder road just before BW8. Stay on feeder and just as you pass the intersection you’ll see the turn in to TofTexas. It sits back from the roadway. It has great Steaks because they will cut it to your specifications. However thick or big you want it. Really nice Salad Bar. A little pricier but a great fine dining restaurant. Owned by great people the Hendee’s. No I don’t know them. He used to be a radio host. She’s a Texas Historian. A lot of Texas memorabilia in the restaurant. At least there was in the past. As far as I know it hasn’t changed. Bye for know.
Look, don’t bother getting key lime pie unless you’re in South Florida. Anywhere else it’s like getting Mexican Food in a Northern State - it just ain’t right.
Just take the leftovers home. Leftover pulled pork is good mixed into macaroni and cheese and reheats well. Not very familiar with brisket as that is more typical with Texas than elsewhere.
I complain about Too Dry BBQ and Too Fatty BBQ. You're bound to run into a slice (or 2, 3 hopefully not 4) from time to time. I 'get tired' of the fatty sections and cut those away but good-enough sauce can ask the 'lean' or 'too dry' meat.
Brett’s BBQ just south of I10 on Kingsland. South side of Katy Mills mall. Written about many times for really good Q. Goode Co. is really good also. Locally family owned and a Houston legend.
I'm so glad you guys are loving it here! Ironically, I'm probably the only Southerner who does NOT like Country music. (I find it difficult to listen to people whining instead of singing. 😄) I could eat BBQ just about every day though. Welcome (again) to the U.S..
I pretty much stopped doing chain restaurants years ago (when possible) but I honestly think Rudy's is better than Spring Creek. Of course thats just my experience, ymmv.
Hers the deal... it seems like y'all're averse to driving far. If you want the best stuff in Houston, you'll eventually have to drive 30 minutes or an hour. The best BBQ is in the city, or in Spring perhaps at Corkscrew or Pearland at Killen's. Glad y’all enjoyed it but y'all're not getting real Texas artisanal BBQ form these places. Head to Pinkerton's in the city.
This one was well done. Less car and hotel room interiors. I hate to sound like a jerk, but this is more like what I expected when I subscribed. I waited for this kind of content and finally it's here.
Glad you two are realizing your destinies. Carry on. Your viewers love you two American sweethearts. True country and true future citizens of the U.S.A. If I may speak for many. We welcome you both.
What she said ☝
@@lilahmoffett4367😂😂 I agree!! What they both said! ☝️
I'm pretty sure Mikey's pie was a
Coconut Cream pie with meringue 😊
Or maybe whipped topping of some sort but I thought coconut cream too. YUM!! 😋
Enjoy seeing your reactions to our food, culture, and everything else. It gives me such hope. Thank you for sharing with us.
Terry Black's in Austin! GET THE BEEF RIB THERE!!
Just get the extra and take the rest home with you. It's a great breakfast or lunch. If the brisket needs sauce it isn't top tier.
For some countries the idea of getting food to take home is foreign to them, as in it’s not common for a restaurant to give a box. So they may not realize that basically almost every American restaurant has boxes for take home
@@Catherine.Dorian.Especially due to the pandemic years.
@@RoSaWa386-33 Oh yeah, now every restaurant definitely has boxes

Next week you really need to find one of the smaller artisan BBQ restaurants, rather than the big chain places
I guess they only want the big restaurants with the fancy decor. I suggested a locally-owned family restaurant that's been in Cypress since the 70s. Not fancy enough, I guess.
they move to TX and decide to settle on the McDonalds of BBQ
Hope you guys have a good life and stay for a very long time here in the US. Love your attitudes and positivity. Watching your videos makes me feel happier as an American 🇺🇸
Mikey people like you two are what make this country great 👍
Yes, that is absolutely true👍
Maybe
No “Maybe” about it! 🫶🥰🇺🇸🇲🇭
@@courtneyraymer6586 Agreed 👍
Mikey grabs a Shiner Bock. He's definitely a true Texan now.😊
Tejas Chocolate in Tomball or Corkscrew in Spring.
Btw that is coconut , you can tell by the crumbled coconut on top.
Yep, looks like classic coconut cream pie.
Corn on the Cob .. proper Side for BBQ.
You clearly don’t know how barbecue works. The goal is to take leftovers home to have a second or even third meal out of 1 trip
I never eat an entire meal at a restaurant. I even tell the waitress to bring me a take-home container when I order!!! I can definitely get several meals from that. I'd weight 300# if I ate it all in one sitting.

Good brisket doesn’t need sauce !!
America just got better, with u guys moving here!
You need to try Hutchins BBQ in Frisco, TX. Can't beat it!
The pie you tried looked like coconut cream, it's very popular. If you guys liked Spring Creek BBQ, I can't wait for you to try great BBQ, like Terry Black's or Franklin's in Austin.
Or go to Lockhart, the Capitol of Texas BBQ.

As a Texas born native who lives in California. I agree that the Calibration Corrections system . This isn’t like jail. This is prison .
That looks like coconut cream pie.
Exciting month for you and Tasha and your subscribers!
Tyler Childers is the real deal!
Just get a copy of the Texas Monthly top 50 BBQ joints in Texas.

Mikey, thoughts and Prayers for King Charles and his fight with Cancer😢. Keep the videos
'S coming enjoy watching yoi two discover Texas and American
Spring Creek & Rudy's are the best chains I know of. I think the pie was coconut cream.
U guys need to plan a weekend in New Orleans also. Easy😊, interstate all the way, and only a few hrs drive!
Pinkerton's bbq

Not barbecue, but if you like steak, there’s Taste of Texas, 10505 Katy Freeway. Been there forever.
Hate to say, I never go for pulled pork in Texas barbeque joints. It's generally not their forte, and I go for something that is, but that's just me.
So what I want to know is how you think American baked beans (any of the samples you've tried) compare to what Brits put on toast.
If you are in the Houston area try Damon's real Texas BBQ in Wharton TX Just down the road on 59 south from Houston. If you want to check them out first they have a UA-cam channel too. Welcome to Texas Brother, Matt from Needville TX
I am new to Texas (Conroe) from California. For Mexican food you should give Pappasito’s a try…. Excellent Mexican food.
Lean brisket is usually very tough. I would try to find some mom and pop BBQ places. Those usually have the best BBQ. So glad you're loving Texas ! My grandson is thinking about going to school in Houston to become a airline mechanic so I may be coming down there to visit.
SpringCreek BBQ is by far the best chain BBQ joint. My favorite is the one in Grand Prairie, right off I-20, between Dallas and Fort Worth.
I love the big hand grab for the roll!!!! 😆 🤣 😂 🤚
Also try the iconic Taste of Texas. It’s in the southeast corner of Katy Frwy & Beltway 8 on the feeder road. Traveling East or inbound exit onto feeder road just before BW8. I believe last video you said you guys got rodeo tickets.? Are you guys going to the BBQ cook off? You should do that.
My favorite is the Pit Room.

Also if you don’t eat all your food. You can take your leftovers home. You would just ask for a take home container.
You guys are fantastic! You r going to turn into a cow, all the BBQ! LOL😊
Go to Corkscrew BBQ in Spring, TX. Probably about a 45 minute drive. Open Wed-Sat, 11-4. Get there early!!
Just take the leftovers home. Leftover pulled pork is good mixed into macaroni and cheese and reheats well. Not very familiar with brisket as that is more typical with Texas than elsewhere.

Out of the ones you have tried, this is the first one I have tried (My mother in law used to live in Katy)
Brett’s BBQ just south of I10 on Kingsland. South side of Katy Mills mall. Written about many times for really good Q.
Goode Co. is really good also. Locally family owned and a Houston legend.
Tejas BBQ and Chocolates in Tomball.
When it comes to BBQ AVOID MAJOR CHAIN BBQ PLACES.
I'm so glad you guys are loving it here! Ironically, I'm probably the only Southerner who does NOT like Country music. (I find it difficult to listen to people whining instead of singing. 😄) I could eat BBQ just about every day though. Welcome (again) to the U.S..
Country isn’t just whining.
You are NOT the only southerners who hates country music. Count me in!!!
When did Queen, Alice Cooper, Pink Floyd, etc. become considered country ‘cause I missed that memo.
No terry blacks or Goldie's
Good bbq doesn’t need sauce.
You must have had really bad key lime pie if you think coconut pie is Key lime!!!
I love BBQ, but I judge a BBQ place by their baked beans. If they don't have enough flavor, you can put some BBQ sauce in them. It helps a little.
Take I10 west about 35 minutes to Columbus and try Mikeska’s bbq.
All I get when visiting TX is ribs..
If y'all want some amazing food, hop down to Cajun Greek in Galveston. Not BBQ, but you will not be disappointed!
I pretty much stopped doing chain restaurants years ago (when possible) but I honestly think Rudy's is better than Spring Creek. Of course thats just my experience, ymmv.
You still need to go to Smittys in Lockhart. 🤤
I prefer the marbled brisket. No, it isn't healthy, and yes, it's full of fat, but OMG, it'll make you slap yourself because it's so good!
Spring creek bbq used to be so good many years ago but now it’s middle of the line at best.
Hers the deal... it seems like y'all're averse to driving far. If you want the best stuff in Houston, you'll eventually have to drive 30 minutes or an hour. The best BBQ is in the city, or in Spring perhaps at Corkscrew or Pearland at Killen's.

Dude , you know there are other things to eat other than bbq don’t you?
This one was well done. Less car and hotel room interiors. I hate to sound like a jerk, but this is more like what I expected when I subscribed. I waited for this kind of content and finally it's here.
Not very unique if they spell barbecue with a “q”. I’d have turned around and gone elsewhere.
I believe last video you said you guys got rodeo tickets.? Are you guys going to the BBQ cook off? You should do that.
My favorite is the Pit Room.
