That's a cool srategy of using commutators!
When I figured out how to solve the Square-2 after the Square-1, I combined all the corner halves together arbitrarily first, then used an edge-cycling algorithm I made for Square-1 to cycle corner halves as if they were edges, until they were all paired up. This reduced the puzzle to a Square-1 and then I solved it from there.
Cool to see another solution to the same puzzle!

Same with the puppet cube. 🤣 Obviously I would not be able to do this faster or better, but for whatever reason... that feeling of catching one or two things empowers you and you want to buy the puzzle so you can solve it and prove it to yourself. hey, did you ever got left with everything finished but 2 pieces left unsolved? One in the top layer and one in the bottom, so the commutator from j perm doesnt work?

I've been marathoning a bunch of these and it's making me want to buy a bunch of these lesser known cubes and try to solve them myself lol, kind of funny how this sort of wraps around to the experience of trying to solve a 3x3 for the first time

Nice video man, as someone who can speed solve a square 1 but never attempted a square 2 my approach would be a reduction method, solving the square 2 into a scrambled square 1. For not much square 1 knowledge you did a frigging awesome job man, well done! Watching your videos is also why I started my own channel, you're an inspiration to a 40 year cuber 🤣

Jperm I'm currently learning blindfolded and I'm not sure which cube to use as I know the tengyun (which I have because it's quiet) is good for three style edges but I'm only using pochman method.
I love your videos thank you so much! ;D
