Replacing a roundabout with traffic lights will only increase congestion.Time taken to complete the project has been ridiculous, it's been eighteen months of detouring around the area and most of the time there's been no one there doing anything!
Give it a few years and they knock it down and rebuild the roundabout again. I swear this must be the 4th or 5th time they have remade that section in the last few decades.
