I'm from the Caribbean. Dating a Filipina in some ways is like dating an Asian-Caribbean person. Of course they are more traditional women, but the culture and food is still very similar to ours in many ways.. I guess it will be easier for me to adapt there than an American..

You’ve just got to get the balance, I’ve dated a plethora of Filipina ..western model, province ..then I decided city girls are for me. I prefer the modernity of the city Filipina and I mean born there as there’s a huge disparity between the two. Most well brought up Filipina will have conservative family values ..the modern city professional Filipina Ie educated, middle class ..professional Ie middle management will usually go for a Filipino unless they have certain life experiences. They will also want to date nearer to their age ..so most foreigners cannot achieve the unicorn Filipina. These high end city Filipina girls know their worth ..it’s that simple, but if ya can snag one ..once Filipina loves you…it’s for life ..Tampo and all lol😂

Thanks to all the advertising that Filipina's do online, there's a ton of western men going there and gentrifying the country. Since this is so common now, younger Filipina women are obviously going to be more attracted to that type of lifestyle. I would even go as far as saying Filipina influencers kind of started this trend by going online, talking about "Passport Bros" and how much better Filipina women are than western women, etc, is influencing the younger women. It's kinda like shooting yourself in the foot, culturally speaking.
I personally believe it is the lack of opportunity for women that defines their servitude to men, and almost all countries where there are opportunities for women they take them and begin to compete with men. The only difference with the Philippines is there is very little opportunity there, making men the better option. Colleges in the Philippines are predominantly female, and I don’t think those women are going to school to learn to be housewives.
When you hear, people say western women used to be traditional, they are referring to a period when very little opportunity existed for those women.

Gio, I think Filipina's becoming westernized is happening much faster especially with City girls. I have been married to my province girl for almost 21 years. We have been living in Cebu for a few years now and there are so many things that have changed that reflect western culture. Especially the big increase in young single mothers and the increase in live in Partners.

I somewhat disagree with the idea that the traditional wife doesn't work! If she is truly a full fledged traditional wife, she will work as much or more than her husband! It's just that her 'work' is at home. Think about it, she is cleaning, washing dishes, washing clothes, preparing meals, maintaining order and organizing, sweeping, mopping, decorating, caring for children, nursing (children and husband when needed), often in charge of or contributing to family budget, shopping-looking for bargains and specials, and more! All this as well as tending to, supporting, interacting with, being friends with, being a companion to, and tending to her husbands needs..... SOUNDS LIKE A PRETTY FULL SCHEDULE TO ME!

There are some traditional women in the west. Not many but you have to look for them. If you’re older then they may not be available to you.

I’ve found that all women can be your blessing or a non stop grinding your soul to dust curse. Women are both and can amazingly be both at the same time. The only difference I’ve experienced is when your Filipina is mad at you she quits talking to you and ignores you till she cools off, that’s a blessing. The curse is when she does start talking to you she will absolutely unload on you with a vengeance, she will get her pound of your flesh.
