beloved is different from true love. beloved is more like taking a great liking to someone and doesnt require the person to reciprocate. true love is wholly unconditional and is reciprocated.
If you think about it, without Maleficent watching Aurora and saving her from imminent death multiple times, Aurora probably won't be able to make it to her 16th birthday.
