      It was really stupid of Porsche to not offer a manual on pre-facelift 991 GT3. Glad that they noticed that and fixed it. It's horrible when companies get lost in the numbers game and think everything should be automatic for meanigless splitsecond at cost of experience.

    • @maxxjettfilms6322
      @maxxjettfilms6322 7 років тому +6

      Benjamin Navarro to me that is paramount. if I was racing professionally, yes, get the dual clutch. but if my Porsche is a road car and occasional track car, give me the manual, my enjoyment level is far above what any dual clutch can give me. totally worth a few tenths.

    • @rudytaneloruxy9491
      @rudytaneloruxy9491 7 років тому

      maxxjett films I agree but it is actually 6 tenths which is really quite alot. a base corvette gets to 60 in 3.8 . apples and oranges i know but for the kind of money these cars go for optioned which is getting round 200k somehow that 6 tenths would niggle at me. but i am ass talking because if i could blow nearly a quarter mil on a toy im sure i wouldnt care and would probably own something else that straightline accelerated crazy like a tesla. Porsches have always been pricey but the upper end models are out of reach for most mortals

    • @maxxjettfilms6322
      @maxxjettfilms6322 7 років тому +1

      Rudy Tanelo Ruxy what would niggle at me would be the lack of driving enjoyment every time I drove it. if you are just going for straight line 0-60 then get a Dodge demon. it beats every production car to 60, no worries about misplaced fortunes with a lack of straight line speed with a demon

    • @rudytaneloruxy9491
      @rudytaneloruxy9491 7 років тому

      maxxjett films Yeah that would also niggle at me. Im just admitting that numbers get in my head and 6 10ths really is quite alot. Theoretically the dual clutch would be six cars ahead of the manual by 60. what i would like to know is what is the spread when they go 5 to 60. Are some of those 10ths the dual clutch luanch mode, geared differently? I dont care about drag racing but you can certainly feel 6 10ths. Dont matter chances are i wont have the dilemma. It just kind of stinks that autos have gotten better, even with mpgs often.

    • @Mike-dy8sj
      @Mike-dy8sj 6 років тому

      cybertec69 most cars never see a track. A small amount do, but seldom. I'm sure the RS is a different story but not by much. The only Porsches that are bought exclusively for the track are the gt3 cup and the rsr.

    It's amazing that Porsche is getting over 125 horsepower per liter out of their engines. Come on Honda what the hell are you doing now

    • @mikea5205
      @mikea5205 6 років тому

      As far as I know Ferrari has made 133 hp/liter out of their 458 Speciale, that's the highest I've seen. As far as Honda, they used to be the NA kings but they have lost their way.

    • @jeejay98
      @jeejay98 6 років тому

      Don’t get me wrong, I’m a big Honda fan and I always own one since 1997, but they lost their soul in lieu of demands from tree huggers.
      I was excited when I heard that they are going to come out with a turbo but quickly lost interest when they built it on a 1.5 L engine. I was expecting to be a 2.0L as a standard engine but they reserved that for their upgrade model. I guess its a wishful thinking.

    This car renders the 911 991 R irrelevant.

    • @travis3810
      @travis3810 7 років тому +2

      Robert Wolfe No it doesn't, the R is not designed for track use while the GT3 is. Additionally, the R is still the purer of the 2 without all the sound deadening and race car features. Two completely different cars.

    • @rombierto
      @rombierto 7 років тому +2

      It is a far stretch to say they are two completely different cars.
      The GT3 will have a manual just like the R. The R was special for
      about 8 months until it was announced that the GT3 would have a manual
      option. It is basically the same car with minute differences.

    • @rombierto
      @rombierto 7 років тому +2

      completely different? That is a bit of an overstatement.

    • @roykonvalinka9867
      @roykonvalinka9867 6 років тому
