SCP-2406 is a mechanical automaton, 93 meters in height and weighing approximately 210 tonnes. Research indicates that SCP-2406 was not sentient and required at least six operators to properly function. It is hypothesized that SCP-2406 was piloted via 160 different valves and levers within its interior. Limbs were controlled through the application of pneumatics, hydraulics, and clockwork, and powered by a nuclear reactor located within the torso.

"Yo bro wheres ur arm??"

flesh cannon
😂😂
This sounds like the Colossus was designed to fight the Flesh that Hates.
flesh that hates is just a small creation from the flesh king before the flesh king existed was the machine supremacy than he came and all hell broke lose both of these powerfull empires got destroy and the normal humans came after their destruction
that would actually make sense.
Yeah I was getting those vibes too when they were reading the translations. it could just as easily mean something else but a sorcerer king who uses an army of corpses that grows in strength when people die fighting it, along with the specific words "The red death" makes me feel like it was designed to fight back or contain the growth of 610, and considering how the only above ground instances of 610 are relatively nearby, it's not much of a stretch, plus the spines thrown into it contain human DNA, so they could be ancient instances of 610
@@patrickkeyes6682 the scrolls mention the sarkics which are a group of cults that sue the red death and embrace mutation due to one of the old God Yaldabaoth who with mekhane created humanity, Mekhane then fought Yaldabaoth due to Yaldaboaths desire to disease humanity and keep it primordial. Mekhate won the fight but became the broken god. in the scrolls it also references mekhane which likely emans it was a very early form of the church of the Broken God, who were fighting against a very old form of the sarkics to stop some form of ritual to bring Yaldabaoth back. We can assume the early form of the church of the broken God won as humanity progressed.
The Colossus was built by the Mekhanities to combat the forces of the Sarkite cults. This was known as the first occult war I believe. The Mekhanities used advanced technology with anomalous properties while the Sarkites used Biological weaponry and mutated beasts and creatures with anomalous properties.

Most of u who do not know much about ancient greek mythology these automatons bears striking similarities to Talos the original colossus, made by the greek god Hephaestus god of metalworking and fire as a gift to the cretan king Minos, to help him fight against pirates. But unlike Talos which was fully automated and sentient loyal only to minos, this one seems to be modeled after talos to recreate the capabilities greek inventors could muster to rival that of Hephaestus.
whilst i am a fan of Dr. Buck giving us the rundown of these cool SCPs, i kinda want the story element brought back in. it was just starting to get good.

@@xyx2188 Yes. It's more like a jaeger

I’m gonna go ahead and assume it was an ancient battle with the flesh that hates
The battle was between the followers of Yaldaboath, who itself is an ancient God of flesh and other organic things, and the followers of Yaldaboath's rival, Mekhane.
Either way, although the Flesh that hates seems to be affiliated, the repeated mentions of Yaldaboath and Mekhane make it clear that the colossus was built in a war about their eternal struggle for humanity.

That's exactly what it is. The Flesh That Hates usually gets lumped in with the Sarkic cults in the current stories now.
So the Flesh That Hates is singlehandedly responsible for the collapse of the Bronze Age empires.
Yea, they were fighting the Sarktic Cult. That’s the people behind 610 and the other horrible abominations like the Bone Orchard.
I like this new format that you guys are doing, though I do miss the videos about the various foundation characters and their interactions with SCP’s
@Falkì aka Nico Yeah but literally every one of those throwaway animation channels uses this format and the stories were what held it to a higher standard. Most likely the old format isn't coming back because it takes more effort to do
I don’t know, I liked how the old format had more to offer than just a reading of files. Though I understand it gives them time to come up with something for future episodes and handle SCPs that may be trickier to include along side the cast
@Falkì aka Nico Let us hope you are right, because if this lasts, i thnik a good portion of their fanbase will get disinterested.

Yes exactly I think they'd get more fans with the story drivin part. But I also think they're going to release something soon all creators have blocks here and there.
That's a good story for certain. Would help to explain the sudden collapse of the bronze age.
It's good to have a more standard format for SCP's presentation. Having the main storyline with all of the same characters with all of the SCP's AND making the plot progress at the same time is heck of a pain in the butt.

@@Sigil_57 What does that mean?
We may return to that in the future, but we want to reach a broader audience. Budget issues. It got slashed to hell. Trying to survive. Once they recover, the story shall resume.
there was actually a greek tale where a god who wanted to be alone but humans would land on the island so he made a robot it was tricked by the crew to get the gold fleece from the gold goat (or something like that) and it wanted to be human so they said they could do that but then destroyed him so this is either the 9th giant from this story or a reference
