I still prefer the original, maybe cause I grew up with it, maybe just musical preference and style

I love how Bowser's run cycle evolved the same way it did in Smash.
I remember being 9 years old and shown Super Mario RPG and this video on Newgrounds by my neighborhood friend back in the day. It's very nostalgic to see this classic video and game being remade. Now being 25 years old, thanks for the great memories.
I really like how some aspects of the animation tie into the remake of it being a game you played before, such as the Blue Toad now using joycons instead of a SNES controller and the Toad instead of saying “practice those timed hits, bitch” says “now you’re getting it, champ”
The lyrics were also changed in places too.
@@SaiyanGamer95 not so many actually. The Peach ones for example are the same in both videos, but the sound mixing in the original was pretty screwed up. But the censorship of some insults in the original it's noticeable.

The Peach segment at 1:44 REALLY shows the improvement over time. Good stuff
It was an improvement in every aspect, not only in the visuals but also in the sound mixing which was (with all respect) pure crap in the original, with some segments muffled to the point the lyrics were almost unrecognizable behind the music.
I 1000% prefer peach's verse in the original, the new one sounds too exaggerated, the og sounds sweet

Its so interesting to see the comparisons and realize the creator's intention for certain scenes vs how I interpreted the animation when I was younger! Super cool to see this get remade in honor of the remake! (Also the replacement of Mario with Luigi due to presumably a different VA for the rap section is an awesome addition)

It’s absolutely incredible to see your growth, I remember discovering this song last year after loving Forest Maze as a track from the game for many many years and I was so happy to see that a version with lyrics and rap existed, I love this song!

This is one of those songs that’s nostalgic even if you’ve never heard it and I love it
I may have been on the older side when the first rawest forest released when compared to most peeps here (I was 13 years old) but this gives me the same nostalgic feeling! I wouldn't exchange those days of browsing newgrounds and playing flash games for anything in the world :,)

Man, seeing this comparisons are great. I remember watching the original on Newgrounds when I was 12 years old back in before I got into the story for Super Mario RPG (and played it around 2013) and thus, it inspired the series I would make years later in 2019. I'm happy to see that not we have the remake for SMRPG coming out this November but the we now have the remake for Rawest Forest as well!! ^o^
And tho the OG still a great and important piece of history, the remake is really fantastic.

I agree, love the new look and that I can understand the lyrics more just the old one hits the ear a little nicer to me. But it's excellent work all around!

It's really cool to see the level of improvement this animator went through over the years but I kinda enjoy the older animation more. Quality wise the new is better by a mile but the old one has a bunch of gags where characters will go off model and contort in funny ways which are just not there as the new doesn't go off model.

I'm kinda divided on this. On one hand, Chris's animation and artistic skills have improved by leaps and bounds and it's great to see him flourishing. On the other hand, I just am unsure if I like the new version of the song itself. Nostalgia op, I guess, either way it's fantastic work and carry on Kirbopher of ol'~

he put his whole kirbussy into this remake, i'm mesmerized by the amount of improvement 80 not just in terms of art style, but composition, colors, some of the more subtle animations in the characters :D

スーパーマリオRPGのリメイク発売されて、森のキノコにご用心のクリスさんの動画を知りました。16年越しにリメイクされたアニメーションがとても綺麗に描かれていて、ばくれつカブトムシをプレイしていたサングラスのキノピオ少年の部屋のロゼッタのポスターとクッパ城の見える丘が日本語で描いてあったり英語が苦手な日本人の私でも楽しく見ることができました！何回もリピートしています！これからも応援しています！

I still like the original better but the remake was a damn good call back.
I can see it, some of the humor was token out from the old one like toad saying “b*tch” after teaching Mario the combos. But besides I prefer the new one imo

The original will always have a charm to it yet the new one is an improvement over the original, especially in the lyrics. There are lines from back then that would just not fly nowadays
