Good review. I particularly like the comment that the Eden WTDI has a pretty sound. Sure enough it certainly has a distinct sound particular to David Eden. I've used mine for some three years now. I enjoy the fact that it's easy to navigate this pedal. I agree about the power adapter a bit disappointing. I use this with my fretless, fretted, and now predominantly with my Ibanez UB and I am enjoy the level of control I have over the sound.

Hi Carlos, I'm glad to hear you're making the most of your WTDI. I've been a fan of Eden gear for many years and I do love that Eden sound and it's a very convenient way to have that sound in such a small unit. Have a great time playing music Carlos.

This was the first preamp pedal that I bought used and for some reason it wasn't working with my rig, it would make a weird crackling sound and I was bummed because I really liked it paired with my Sterling SUB Stingray. I ended up taking it back and it worked perfectly at the guitar shop where I got it 🤷‍♂️. I traded it for a Tech 21 VT version 2 pedal and I've been using a preamp pedal with my amps ever since, I'm currently using a Gallien-Krueger RB700 paired with am MXR Bass DI and it just gives the amp and little more life but I'm getting the itch to try something new 😉

I love my Eden WTDI preamp, I’m an R&B / FUNK Bassists!
Is your amp flat during this demo?

Hi Cisco, from memory I think I ran it through a PA speaker for the video so for all intents and purposes it was set flat.
WTDI is a great preamp/DI, love using it just like you. Be well Cisco.

    Hey! Great Review!
Would you recommend this for a minimal stage rig for touring without an amp? do you reckon it would make sense to put a BassEQ in front of it to get more control over the mids? or do you feel like the possibilities are plenty enough with the mid equalizing you can do with the WTDI?
    Thanks in advance

Alex Scheller hi, I have used it for gigs over a few years with IEM or just stage monitors and no amp, works well.
I think it has enough EQ for my tastes but you could add a Bass EQ if you wanted more.
My only complaint is that it can’t be phantom powered and I don’t like external power supplies.
Hope this helps, all the best.

@@samatza Thanks for your answer! I think i'm going to be using it on a small pedalboard for going straight into the PA. If i have room on that I'll try and see what an additional EQ can do. I'm not mad about it needing the external power, because the boards gonna need power anyways. I'm kinda torn between this and the Eden Module (because of the switchable effects Loop it has) But many people like the WTDI better because of the Comp. What i don't understand is the Bypass switch on the WTDI i think a mute would make much more sense.
      Have a good one!

Does this preamp pedal goes well with electric guitar and distortion or its exclusive for bass and acustic?

Hi Eddnatal, it's no good at all for overdrive or distortion sounds, very good for clean sounds for bass guitar though. I hope this helps.
