We do eat meat,the kids are semi vegetarian. We do all household shopping at superstore.
Yes...food price is comparitively expensive in canada compared to US.. I moved from US to Canada 10 yr back and was shocked to see the price when i moved. for example mile was 2.5$/gallon there in costco then where as it was double the price here in canada...
Another tip I like to offer is if your shopping at say superstore you can take all other competing supermarket flyers with you put and X on this discounted items from the cpmpeting store flyers if you want that product and its higher priced at superstore keep all of your discounted items to the end of when your cashing out at the till avoid self check out if you can especially if you have a large order of things anyhow show the cashier the items you want for the discount price from the competitor stores, the cashier will instantly discount the item for and even greater saving, and you don't have to waste your time or gas to drive to the other stores, do it all at the one store superstore saveon will honor all competitor prices listed in weekly flyer.

how do you make your own yorgurt because i know theres diffrent ways of making yogurt so how do you make yours? also has your budget stayed the same since then till now or has it gotten higher because of the covid pandemic?
A what I eat in a day/week video would be useful. Unless you are chugging down gallons of milk and eating rice 3 times a day, I am struggling to see how you could be getting enough calories from this diet.
Please have your children as soon as they can set up a tax free savings account so your children can benefit from the compounded interest. Please do this for them and teach them the value of compounded interest. but they have to start young for the interest to accumulate. Try and get your son to be a plumber or electrician - those trades are in very high demand.
Do you recommend any specific Canadian province if someone (30yo, single, doesn't want kids) wants to move to Canada and start a farm life? Or do you know any youtube channel or blogs about this subject? Thanks!
You could do better for prices of grocery superstore isnt that cheap anymore, I live in Vancouver and its similar here however what we have here is lots of local asain and indian vegetables markets which you can buy vegetables and fruits substantially cheaper than superstore, we also have Lucky Supermarket its and international store with lots of variety for different worlds people prices here are very good and as good if not better most of the time that i mean as low as superstore and Walmart. You can download the Flipp app to quickly check prices for all stores in your area write down the items you want and calculate if its worth going to those stores could be too far so not worth the drive unless you're extremely lucky and live in and area where all competing stores exist. Yes I find that 99% of the store brands as good sometimes better that top names. If you have a PC mastercard you can buy all your groceries on the card and also buy your gas and every thing else on it save your points until you have $500.0 or more for a fantastic free grocery order cheers

Great video! I’ve watched it before, but recently watched in again as I am looking for grocery saving tips. One thing that would be helpful, is if you were able to share your meal plan and the groceries you buy for that meal plan. Thank you.
From my experience, if you go early in the day, you can find fresh fruits and vegetables in both Walmart and superstore..am not sure about meat...I don't usually buy vegetables and fruits in Costco as it is packaged and in bigger sizes..

Walmart doesn't do that anymore. No frills only price matches against a few stores

Superstore is so expensive, go to Costco if you have more than 3 people in a household.

I agree Fruiticana charges way less for fruits and vegetables than Superstore or Walmart. Shoppers Drug Mart cheap eggs, Milk, Kleenex and chips.

Which is cheaper & good in quality Walmart, Coscto or Superstore for fruits, veggies & meat?
