This is one of my confidence flies. Haven’t fished one since this afternoon. I’ve caught more fish on this over the summer than any other fly. (I don’t tie so I buy mine from FFF…)
I’d guess it’s what competition guys have noticed works best. Assuming your assumption of copper dominance in euro flies is correct. So…more fish theory🤷🏼♂️
Nothing. It’s all confidence. Lance doesn’t use them much because he hasn’t had great luck on them. I personally like raw, matte black, and old gold, because it’s what has worked for me.
Excellent fly for this time of year here in CO - thanks for sharing!! 🎣
I tied some of these after you video, fished it last night, the Bow river rainbows just love it.
Nice! Going to have try and tie this one and get a few in the box. Thanks for this!

Amazing fly!
Good looking fly. Any tips on applying/curing resin for those of us without rotating vises.
Watery Olive is another great similar color 👍
@flyfishfood great pattern…I’m curious, with this jig bead, wouldn’t the flash be riding upside down?
Awsome! Thanks.
Bangin!👌🎏
Yep, that will fish well.
What’s the theory behind a lot of copper heads on Euro nymphs?

First! I love this fly though.
Slotted beads want resin too.
