Right (we’re stilll waiting this update ) but it’s next up , they updated the kd5 for some reason, but it’s listed as next to update , & I don’t know if there going to create another one like this (rumors are they expect it to continue on a long time with os updates and may skip 1-2 here n there but they’re going to continue supporting this. they’ll definitely continue releasing devices. But with ONN @ 50$! A new device in USA. Not many people are going to pay 80-120$ for devices anymore when the onn specs are just as good. (If you havent gottten your hands on 1 I suggest u try it out)

MeCool is one of the best out there. I was not surprised to see this device. As always your review was precise and informative. I am going to pick up a KM2.
And once again an absolute total failure from mecool. The fact that there is no USB 3.0 port on a Deluxe version is still acceptable, but the fact that they advertise that all formats are perfectly supported and therefore run properly and then draw comparisons with Nvidia Shield TV (although I would like to point out at this point that nVidia does not offer any kind of service after the warranty has expired) is absolutely unacceptable in view of the fact that the formats are not functional. After some tests, which every user here is welcome to carry out themselves if they are in possession of the box, it does play Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision is also possible, but only in conjunction with Netflix, which means that Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision simply only work with Netflix and other streaming providers and not with UA-cam or videos from the hard disk. However, this is different with other providers that work accordingly, so be careful when shopping otherwise you will unfortunately be annoyed!
In the Cons you mention NON-GB Lan (100M), but at Mecool it says 1000M LAN -> WiFi 6 ensures improved and speedier internet connectivity for your smart home. Coupled with a 1000M-LAN port, you can enjoy seamless and uninterrupted entertainment, enhancing your overall viewing experience.
The product description states 1000 Mbps LAN however, in my repeated testing it never crossed 100Mbps. Which tells me it's not a gigabit LAN port, because it would've been on par with the 5 GHz band
I've had this device for about 3months now but it's unopened,I'm waiting for Android 12 or at least for allbug concerns to be addressed so I shall continue with 3rd gen cube and formuler Z11 pro max until issues have been addressed hopefully The devices I am using receive regular updates

Based on the chipset both boxes will be able to deliver efficiently. However, the big question always is which brand releases updates to maintain their boxes. I can only speak for Homatics who I have seen release updates in the past. However I haven't seen updates in recent months.

Yes at first I had a faulty LAN cable that if you are brought to my attention because he had this box also an were getting LAN speeds. Once I repair the cable I was able to get gigabit LAN speeds also. And yes it's a Wi-Fi speeds is pretty impressive.
There are 2 more bugs to be reported to Mecool. Those 2 bugs are also present on the KM2 plus (non deluxe) model. 1. As you can see in AIDA64 the display resolution is reported at 1920x1080. This results in Kodi to not being able to playback in 4K resolution. Other media players work instead but Kodi is supposed to be the most used one. 2. If you connect a Dolby Atmos certified Bluetooth headset to the box audio output in Netflix downgrades to 5.1 instead of giving the full Atmos experience. I'm using the LG tone free T90Q and i can clearly hear the difference playing back the same movie on Netflix on my Mecool or on my dolby Atmos certified laptop where the audio output stays on Atmos.

The KM 2 plus deluxe may have slightly better hardware performance and benchmarks, however the Homatics box R 4K has the better firmware and updates. Since Mecool Launched this model they have not updated the firmware to fix the bugs.

Yes that's a fact, but the manufacturer is stating that even though they are black that signals USB 2.0, it is USB 3.0.🤷♂️ I can't confirm if it's true
Yes it is still the best-certified model, but if they don't lunch a new model other boxes are quickly catching up. Some already beat them in hardware performance but are not certified models. If you compare certified models, the price of the Nvidia shield is the best bang for the buck plus professional grade hardware and service.
I have a skyworth leap s1 but if I set up remote to control tv it says can't reach google service it only works with cec however that tv don't have cec I want the tv control via itr
I like my deluxe mecool but it's having an audio issue when playing through my surround sound. I'm getting a 1 second no audio issue about every 25 mins. I'm doing alot of testing with different devices and apps....it seems to be only on the meecool. Other issue I see...there internet connections aren't very stable. Wifi 6 is great ..but drops off too much. Very sparatic. Even being harwired..hardwired...speeds are great..but every now and again..the box freezes..takes about 30 seconds then works fine again. Thinking maybe the remote disconnects and reconnects. I'm still testing to track these things down. Other than these issues..the box is very good...plays anything you throw at it perfectly
Not quite. The hardware used in this box is not as powerful as the Amlogic S905Y4-J. The box is lack adequate I/O ports, and the CPU clock speed is below average.

The only downside is I only receive single pieces and my shipping is usually economy Express shipping.
I received some information last night that Mecool is attempting to start doing firmware updates to subsequent Android versions. That is, upgrading to a higher Android version when available. This could be a serious game changer for their brand. We will just have to wait and see if it comes to bear

It's a nice box but not alot different from kickp1 Which is alot cheaper
I've watched videos showing this box downloading over LAN at over 400Mb/s, so I'd say it's definitely NOT limited to 100. The WiFi was even faster.
