My daughters have always asked me why I never pursued a professional music career (I'm an excellent guitarist/musician). My answer is always the same, " Because I don't want to sell my soul to an industry that only cares about the almighty dollar and will turn me into something I am not. This is one of my favorite topics, only because I read and observe a lot. I saw that Conan interview long ago. Watching it now, I can understand the confusion and distastefulness that may result in Burr's poor landing of what he was trying to hit home. He was basically discussing a certain kind of women, the ones who are overly self-entitled and play the victim card for their personal agenda, whatever that may be. He was also trying to express anger and frustration at how society tends to side with women unconditionally especially in domestic violence and abuse cases. We as a society still have much work to do and spread awareness. But the reason why domestic violence and abuse against men is marginal is because society taught men to "man up" or "just grin and bear it." They suffer in silence.

You don't get it, he literally would steal entire songs and sounds and because they were living in oppressed America there was nothing they could do. And Elvis as well as white ppl act like he originated his sound, looks and dance...he was a bad copy, pretty much vanilla ice in black ppl's eyes.
No, Bill's wife is 100% correct. You're wrong. Elvis never gave credit to Big Mama who sang "Hound Dog" first. There was a bunch of other songs that he "covered" as well whose originators or populators that he never offered recognition, money, or thanks to. Now, I'm sure there is probably an article or two out there and such where he might've said something, but they were very VERY rare. There was only one black artist to whom Elvis offered credit, recognition, and thanks to; and he did it quite often. That was Jackie Wilson. The person who inspired Elvis's now "iconic 🤦🏾♂️" dancing and furled up-side lip singing style. Jackie Wilson was the only one that Elvis seemed to genuinely appreciate. Even so, Elvis is far from the only guilty party of "cultural appropriation" during the 50s and 60s. The Beach Boys straight up STOLE at least 2 melodies from Chuck Berry (there's accusations for a third). I mean they didn't change not one note. "Surfin USA" the entire melody, beat, and even the damn time was 100% stolen from Berry's "Sweet Little Sixteen". Y'all who apologize for those acts embarrass me. I bet y'all are the same type who say Bruno Mars is stealing. Such BS.
@@christopherking4932 This isn't my opinion. These are facts. Also, how did I put you down? Just corrected your 100% inaccurate information. If I'm wrong, prove me wrong. I mean, the Beach Boys/Chuck Berry thing is a matter of public record since, ya know, that Berry successfully sued them for theft and copyright infringement over their using 2 of his original melodies for 2 of their songs (Their biggest hits 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️). You really have absolutely no idea what you're talking about do you? It's common knowledge, for those who care enough to learn, that Elvis refrained from publicly acknowledging the artists songs he "covered" and the only reason he would acknowledge Jackie Wilson is because the two of them became friends when Elvis was first beginning. Everything that Elvis got huge fame for, save for his voice, was taken from black artists of the time. He even styled his hair like Jackie Wilson did in the late 50s and early 60s. Everything is online and easy to find. Clearly that matters not to you though. Anyways, you have fun living in that fantasy. The thing here is that I'm not even calling Elvis a racist or anything like that but to act as though he got famous based on his own originality is just foolish, inaccurate, and objectively false. ✌🏾🤡

He was referencing the invention of the jet engine. Invented by Frank Whittle in England 1930.
Great reaction guy's!!! Love your sense of humors!!!
The flight joke is directed at the fact that the Wright brothers invented mechanized flight - two white dudes...
Asia's hand movements at about 6:15 validate what Bill said :).
Bill Burr has a Helicopter pilot licence
The last joke he made about flying was a reference to the Wright Brothers being white.
I may be wrong but I think the reference to flying is about the Wright Brothers - the two white guys who built and flew the first successful plane.
They do have a podcast and I don't know that Bill pulls back, he goes and goes and is stubborn as hell. I love his wife she sounds very intelligent and bless her for dealing with his stubborn butt. Don't get me wrong I love Bill too.
But what is really on everyone else's mind is did the GS Boyz culturally misappropriate The STANKY LEG from Elvis's SHAKY LEG? Inquiring minds want to know.🤣😂
This is too dam funny lol...,airplane comment because its considered white invention lol
In the longer version, he went on to explain that very few pilots are black and said they had a choice to either make beautiful music or become a pilot and let the music suffer.
Man i love you two, such a great reacting couple! Nobody better than Bill to do race comedy, just brilliant!
Yeah his 2nd joke was refering to the wright brothers , 2 white folks who invented the plane.
I think, like so many musicians, Elvis was a victim of the capitalist recording industry. My daughters have always asked me why I never pursued a professional music career (I'm an excellent guitarist/musician). My answer is always the same, " Because I don't want to sell my soul to an industry that only cares about the almighty dollar and will turn me into something I am not. They will want to mold me into something that, simply, makes them money and MY music will no longer be an expression of myself."
You two have to watch a minute or two after your segment ended, which explains that plane ride from LA to NY
The flying was referring to the Wright Brothers.
Love the posters/pictures
As Orville said to Wilbur, "you're Wright"
no, he meant the invention of air travel
BTW the joke doesn't end there. He explains why that last example was f&cked up and we get another however
which was quiet funny. James Brown line dancing LOL
They have been together 15 years at the point of that sow, not sure how long they were married but they have a beautiful daughter together. Also Bill was on the Chappel Show in multiple skits
the flying form to New York was about the ability to afford plights based on income disparities
You two crack me up LOL.
It’s funny when someone laughs at a joke without even understanding what they’re laughing about... (last joke)
3:05 dude trying so hard no to laugh 🤣🤣
Billy Burr was on 2 podcasts with several guys where Elvis came up in conversation in both one had Mike Tyson they reverred Elvis. Conversations continued and there Billy sat saying not one word on that subject. I guess he was afraid the hyena was watching.
I just discovered your channel through your Metallica reactions. You guys are funny and intelligent. Now I have liked, commented and subscribed ❤️ Love from Norway 🇳🇴
Hey Arminus ❤️❤️ we appreciate for your nice comment and sub! Thanks!
He "went for big air." LOL. Insert stupid Bill Burr laugh here.
Asia didnt you react to this one before BJ joined the channel or was that me watching someone else react to this lol and because yall react to South Park on the channel i wondered if yall remember comedian Louie Andersons animation series Life With Louie would always watch that back in the day
hahaha you didn't catch what Bill was saying about a flight from L.A. To NYC!! He meant the Wright Brothers who are credited with the first flight, and were two White Brothers
Bill needs to heed these words, "open mouth insert foot". Ha....
best thing of the joke is hidden in the vid netflix has uploaded on youtube - the joke continues where bill burr exaplins why it was fked up but he says "however" again....
You should watch the whole special - i hope u do!
The last flight joke was saying if black people had the same opportunities as white people, they could've had the chance to invent flight too.
@@stevenhrumph5565 “if black people had the same amount of freedom and privilege, they would have had the money and time to figure out how to fly too” so.. yeah it was
Thank you for the video Asia and BJ.
Check out Ali Siddiq - Prison Riot -
It's a good one
9:24 WAIT!!!…. I think I literally JUST got the joke…. He’s saying she’s using HIS money to travel…. Since he’s white and she’s using his money to do so…. Which IS a low blow, but also funny.
The last joke about flying...
The industrial revolution ie. Planes trains automobiles just about every modern convenience at our fingertips
Little Richard fats dionno Sam Cooke the Jackson 5. Many many other people sang other people's songs.
Flying from New York to LA in under 6 hours is because of the time difference, even though it's an 8 hour flight
I just watched the video of you guys making fun of kids not being able to answer questions correctly. How many dimes in a dollar?
Not much difference between how can you fly from New York to LA in under 6 hours.
The Wright Brothers in Carolina invented the plane.
Hilarious! Hey guys, aren't we about due for some George Carlin again. ❤❤
But the reason why domestic violence and abuse against men is marginal is because society taught men to "man up" or "just grin and bear it." They suffer in silence.
why is it blurred?
Just Subscribed! 🙂🌱
Aye, really appreciate that David! Thanks ❤️❤️
There are some great videos out there of him and her both on the podcast and she is a riot. One of them is called Amazon and Uber because he's complaining about the letter they sent him.
Every time I watch this clip I LMAO!!!!!!!!!!
If they ever do a biopic on CeCe Winans, they gotta get Asia to play her lol
There are some funny compilations of Bill and his wife from his podcast.
Hi guys
love reacting to you 🙂
Please react to 'Bill Burr & Nia HILARIOUS Fight Over Female Inventors' where you can hear the lovely and funny Nia and Bill have hilarious conversations
Love your reactions, I meant hhh
California Angels hat bro. I used to have one when I was a kid
The joke at the end was two white guys named the wright brothers created the first airplane.
Elvis did not appropriate any culture and would always give credit to the blues musicians. So bill's wife is completely wrong about Elvis.
Listen, Appropriation arose because white people usually exclude black people from their history when inventing things. Remember when the Country crowd tried to remove Lil Nas X from Country Road and credited only Billy Ray Cyrus and this was 2016? That's why it's a problem.
Such BS.
@@SSJ2Phenom your completely wrong and just want to put down anyone who disagrees with your opinion.
✌🏾🤡
Some people don't seem to catch that last joke.
When he was talking about his black wife flying...
Because flying was invented by 2 white people the Wright Brothers.
all your intro songs are great. i never FForward. great voice
