All survey plan showing the true North.. first layout the site base on survey. Then on separate file create your building. The degree of your bldg depends on where you will place it on the site..

BUT non of your tutorials do stuff the right way, you always use some funky trick to move around a problem. nothing is data driven and non of these tutorials are worth anything to real architects. they are maybe good for students but not for pros. Stil good luck with the future and hope u can chance you approch to revit.

Create a template from one of your existing, fully finished projects. It's the best way. You can then add to it as needed.
I belive it would be easier/faster to just use masking region and change the weight lines for invisible :)
