- Angel Reese has had a fairly impressive rookie season, but there is still A LOT of room for improvement in her game, ESPECIALLY in her ability to finish around the basket…
Fans are seriously questioning her basketball fundamentals as she has an atrocious ability to finish around the basket with efficiency.
She is shooting a HORRIFIC 40.2% from the field… and is even shooting below 50% on shots less than 5 feet from the basket and is shooting a TERRIBLE 13% on shots 5 to 9 feet from the basket…
Some of these layup attempts are REALLY bad, and a lot of these layup attempts are not even hitting the rim and she’s within 3 feet of the basket…
And it’s not something that has happened once… It has happened MULTIPLE times…

She's has 6 games with more OR than DR. But not only that out of those 6 games only 2 of which she had a lower than her AVG FG%.
Because statistically you can't BOTH catch your own rebound and keep above your AVG FG%. Because if you were catching your own rebounds you'd also be dropping your FG%
but let's talk about the record setting 223 turnovers clearing second place in the record books by 78. Which is more than Reese had all season at 75. Could she have gotten 3 turn overs in the 6 games she missed sure. But CC was a TO MACHINE

CC is next level, the whole league is trying to come up with strategies on how to defend her that is outside their normal defense, and they are having to hustle back on defense, which is similar to what Magic did.

The reason why she is in the running, is because she is the most impactful player on her team. Regardless of the misses, she is still dominating the game. Her team is much better when she is in the game

That means she is objectively a bad basketball player. absolutely INSANE that they're considering her for rookie of the year when caitlin clark is legitimately lighting up teams with efficiency and great stats. the only reason Reese is a part of the conversation is that they can't allow a straight white woman to be the sole star of the WNBA, when really she is.

Reese often does not bend her knees to jump. Many times, she has jumped off her right foot on the right side of the rim. She does that 2 step 2 footed layup. She has a great motor, but her basic foot to hand fundamentals leave her looking so uncoordinated. She would benefit from basics boot camp

It's ridiculous that there was even a debate between her and Caitlin Clark. It goes to show how far behind thinking is about the women's game. It's like if there was a version of Jahlil Okafor who shot 38% at the rim and he was going up against current day Trae Young for ROY and somehow people were arguing that Okafor without the finishing was more valuable than Young because of "double doubles" and "rebounding."

And her thought processes are just awful. I'm saying right now, her teammate Kamila Cardoso is three times the player Angel is. Angel is all show and no go. I'd argue Arike Ogunbowale is a overall better point guard than Clark at this moment. Arike is well rounded player that has ball skills a mid shot game and three point game.

10 Points & 10 Rebounds = 10 points.
10 Points & 10 Assists = a min 30 points if all assists equal 2 pointers.
What is the object of basketball? Score more points then the other team.
She is only 22 & people are saying she can change. She has been playing like this her entire life. She is taller than most women and men & what she does comes from her being tall. No one has ever said to her to change her ways.
She goes into fight or flight mode in the paint. A little composure could improve her scoring.
Clark is clearly better and I think Reese is definitely overrated but rebounds can also lead to points so saying 10 points + 10 rebounds=10 points only isn’t entirely true

They are both known for their rebounding, and both consistently missed the bunny shot. Cunningham didn't suck, but he wasn't a superstar. I find it overly similar to Reese. Cunningham did win RotY and a few other honors.
