Xiaomi’s flagship series has always been heavily anticipated due to its specs-heavy line-up but with a more competitive price point.
In recent years, though, that hasn’t been the case. Well, at least for the price-positioning part.
However, Xiaomi has invested quite a lot in more ambitious projects, like its partnership with Leica in the past two years.
This remains to be at the heart of the Xiaomi 14 series launch.

i rarely use cases but does worry about scratches specially in the frame so i usually use skins and they're perfect.

i agree. i dont' use a case, but not because of aesthetics, but because of the feel, how much easier it is to slip it in your pockets/bag compartments, and for better thermals. don't really care if it gets scratches lol

I like glossy versus matte bec matte is slippery as opposed to claims that its not.
But i would love to see xiaomi take inspiration with Samsung matte back, its not too slippery like other Android brand's matte back.
btw you can show the icon labels 7:29, you can enable it in settings.
This phone looks beautiful to me and the fingerprint magnet as you call it won't get in the way for us. Please leave it out because it won't effect the usability of the phone
8:30 Slight correction though, screenshots bears the package name of the app itself to where it's taken from. In this case the Home / System or Miui Launcher, with *_com.miui.home_* as its apps package name. Thus, it's no Easter egg.
It has always been it's default android pkg name. Cheers!

Glad I reconsidered Xiaomi/Hyper OS after being disappointed by Poco F4. It's my favorite phone after a long time. Was a Samsung and Pixel user but I find the form factor, customisation, battery, charging and cameras (yeah I don't need long zooms) better (except for night sight). It is not perfect but it is fun to use.
Hi I would like to ask as someone who live in the ph will there be a huge difference between the global and Chinese rom of this device? I really like this phone and the global rom has 7-8k gap between the Chinese rom is it worth to spend more on global rom variant? I want to know your thoughts if you know anything regarding this concern, thank you!
These will be a lot of chinese apps and you need to install google play store

No word about camera flaws, e.g. issues with foggy lenses (condensation inside the camera module)

It definitely is an upgrade from Xiaomi 13 for me, since Xiaomi 13 never launched a global version and I'm from America
They actually did release a global version of the 13 series. I had the Pro and upgraded to the Ultra which is what I'm using currently. For this phone though, I might buy it for its compactness

Medyo outdated design ng 13pro, since ang trend ngayon is boxy type back or iphone style,and panget na rin curved screen mga midrange ng oppo realme nalang gumagamit nyan. But kung nabili mo yan at discounted price why not
I regret buying my Xiaomi 13. It's not a bad phone but camera and sounds are not great. Buggy phone too. I guess the Pro version has better sounds tho.

Only one thing non of the Xioami phone reviews doesn't mention is Xioami phones comes with integrated Malwares. It's not the bloatware, pre-installed Apps, the Advertisement Apps either are any system Apps. Xioami is a very dangerous company be careful people. Head settings, then Apps then see all the Apps and you will find all the hidden Malware Apps installed by Xioami. You can't uninstall or disable or provoke any permissions they have to your privacy and security. 😅 Xiaomi the Malware king.

Not rambling, you can find and see yourself in your Xioami phone if you have any version or series from any region. Goo and see all the apps including the systems app and just tell me what is MI Coin 😁 and why you have it as a hidden app? Then check all the permissions and try to stop the app if you can 😁 this is just one of them in totally there is 11 Malware related software running in your Xioami phone integrated with MiUi now HyperOS 👾👾

My Xiaomi 13's audio is tinny, imbalanced and loud. Not really great. So I supposed there's not much improvement in the 14. Don't be fooled.
Plus, it's not just the specs but the user experience. There's too much bugs in this phone.
