Ustad Amjad Ali Khan ~ My Inspirations

Sarod Maestro Ustad Amjad Ali Khan pays tribute to the legendary vocalists of his father's generation. He performs iconic banishes (compositions) of these masters introducing the mukhdas by way of vocalisation followed by improvisation on the Sarod. He is accompanied by Sandeep Das on the Tabla.
We share four excerpts from the double volume album, titled "My Inspirations" (NRCD 0206/7), featuring Ustad Amir Khan (Raga Marwa), Ustad Faiyaz Khan (Raga Nat Bihag), Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan (Raga Malkauns) and Ustad Abdul Karim Khan (Raga Jogia) in a time cycle sequence.
