No Till Bed Prep Using Solarization

Join in this video as we experiment with using soil solarization to speed up terminating a cover crop on our no till bed system and preparing the bed for Flower transplants. We talk about the theory and contrast solarization with our traditional occultation methods. We also want to give credit where credit is due! Bryan O'Hara of Tobacco Road Farm in Lebanon Connecticut has been pioneering this technique. We learned of his technique in Andrew Mefford's book on 'The Organic No Till Farming Revolution' (check it out on our Amazon storefront, link is below) and on Farmer Jesse's 'The No-Till Market Garden Podcast' so we thought we'd test it out on the Farm as we are always wanting to improve our processes.
