Does "Have fun making something" also include have fun assembling something? I have never considered getting a CNC, but the more I see what they could do to eliminate all the hand cutting and sanding of the smaller parts for projects I make, (or intend to make), the more I am convinced I want one.
@@WoodshopMike Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately i have no possibility to purchase this machine. I'm very far form USA. But I'm going to produce something like this myself. So, can you please answer two more questions? What is steel details thickness? 4mm? And what are aluminium profiles cross sizes? 160*40 and 160*80mm?
Sorry for the delay! I thought I'd replied already. I really like the ShopBot. At the time Avid didn't have an ATC. The software is easy enough to navigate after running a project or two. Happy to answer whatever questions you have!
Excellent... a question friends, I want to make my 78'x118'' cnc for different woods and melamine, what servo motor, spindle, bearings, couplings, inductive sensors, emergency stop and stroke limits do you advise me to use? thank you so much
Hold on a second! Where's the link to the CNC you purchased? And the discount code? And the links to get you to come set it up at my workshop so I don't have to?!?
I added a link to ShopBot's site in the description, but here's a link to the PRSalpha series! www.shopbottools.com/products/alpha They build out everything custom so it's not possible to give a direct link but here are the specs on mine. PRSalpha ATC 4'x'8' with vacuum table and 9" indexer We're in the process of putting together an affiliate program & discount code but things aren't hammered out as of yet. It's strange I'm not coming up with a link for your last request 😂 ShopBot does actually offer full setup on site setup. Ryan came for a couple days to help with the final setup (programing the ATC and wrapping up the vacuum setup).
Excellent choice for a CNC! I've had mine for a few years and it's been great. Best training and support around.
Yeah I'm lovin' it. You're dead on about the great support and training! What model do you have?
Congratulations on the new cnc. The possibilities (and imagination) will lead to many new and cool projects!!!
Thanks! I'm really excited about it too
Very nice machine you have there sir. Taking your business to the next level for sure.
Thank you! I'm very excited about the possibilities😃
NIIIICE!!
I'm jealous!
But happy for you 😃
Thanks! I'm really happy about it too! It's been a fun tool to relearn. (I dabbled a bit in college with one)

Oh it totally includes assembly! Yeah it's definitely a fun tool and opens up tons of possibilities!
Good looking product. May I ask what is the working area size of this machine?
I've been really happy with it. Mine has a working area of 4'x8'.

Why so much dust when cutting the MDF? Dust collection that bad?
MDF is horrible, but the DC I had setup when I filmed this was far from adequate! That's being remedied though 😀
Guys he’s actually my uncle
Was good to see you today buddy😃
