- Three telecasters, two professional ones and one made by me. I would be lying if I said this is a very serious video.

For me the McMull wins hands down, it has an airy sound but also has punch. Yes, I love the headstock. Second for me is your own homemade version and lastly the Maybach. All three guitars are very good in my opinion. Kudos for leaving the mistakes in, we all make them but few have the cohones to leave them in!
Thanks! I spent a lot of time editing out mistakes in my first videos and it actually made me more nervous during the video shoots because I was trying to avoid them so badly. Once I stopped doing that I became more relaxed and actually started playing better. Obviously I still make mistakes as you can see in this video ;D
I’d pick the JEM despite its being a pain to tune...out of those I’d have to say Macmull just so I could piss off Quentin James with that beautiful headstock😂
Haha JEM has to be the most famous tele... Or maybe not. :D
I love teles! They all sounded great, hard to pick a favorite
Thanks Jeffrey!
It's amazing howmuch a Macmull stands out inbetween the highest range guitars in terms of airy, attacky, defined and chimey tone. They're ALIVE! They certainly have a top secret receipt for it
Something that's impossible to describe in a video is how those guitars feel. They feel like instruments that have been built many many years ago and just kept in good condition. There's definitely some secret magic stuff happening there!
Why does your VHC miss two screws at the saddle?
Haha I was waiting for someone to notice! One fell off during the trip to Hughes&Kettner and I never found it. The second one fell out during the travel to Henning's place. Weirdly enough the guitar stayed perfectly intonated with no issues so I waited until I got home to get some new screws.
"My Telecaster" won - it`s set up to your playing and you sounded the best with.
Interesting! I love how different people hear things differently and obviously I can't be totally objective here.
oh man... such an expensive guitar and sooooo ugly headstock... :/
Haha the headstock is definitely controversial.
@@CatPickStudios for me it is a clear deal breaker
Sure, I can understand that. If you're paying that much money for a guitar you need to like every aspect of it.
Nice review though. But IMHO most of the differences there come from different pickups used. Everything else matters only when you have the guitar physically in your hands...
And buzzing frets 😮
talk, talk talk , blah; blah - shut and play and let the instrument speak for itself - go the Mooer / Prymaxe demos for an example.
I’m sorry but I don’t own any talking instruments, that’s why I have to explain on their behalf what they are.
