Your videos remind me of how blessed we are in Norfolk with the choice of rivers and drains
Certainly are👍🎣
Another good video Mark,,can’t help notice your network rail top mate,,I also work for network rail,,Team leader welder maintenance Liverpool 25years,,god only knows we need this fishing to escape the madness,,😂anyway keep them coming always a good watch,,tightlines,,👍🎣☀️😎
Nice one, we've seen some changes in that time and not all for the better! But as you say we can always escape to the bank 👍🎣
Real fishing ❤ 🤗.....Great video 😊 ...goodluck with your fishing buddy😊
Thank you pal! Tight lines 🎣🎣👍👍
Cracking looking swim haven't seen a swing tip for a very long time 👍 tight lines mate
Thanks 👍A throwback like myself 🤣
Thanks for sharing this video, I have still got an old rod with the screw fitting in top ring and a couple of swing tips. I'll give that a go again sometime.
I had to adapt some modern rods as they are very hard to get hold of. Give it a go pretty resistance free and can be very effective in certain conditions 👍👍🎣🎣
Haven’t seen a swing tip in years ,classic fishing style
handy for those fenland drains🎣👍
I had a good rudd on a location near you ,
Anglers mail 2012
Remember it well huge fish
Makes a change to see real fishing on a natural water, not on a fish a chuck commercial. You were lucky with that drain to have such a good flat bank to fish from. Most drains have near vertical banks. Bad luck about that flow, drain fish don't like a moving bait. Incidentally I've lived and fished in the Fens, near Benwick, now for over 60 years, nearly a local!
Knew it well in my youth. Been in Australia for years but could go back tomorrow if i could find a workable tardis !! Spot on about the flow.
Not as good as years gone by( but then not many things are). Do you fish in Oz
Only around the corner from you at Pondersbridge. I've only been up here 20+ years but have always travelled up from London for the Pike since the late 70's
@Fishing4Pleasure Yes it is. I only live about 80 yards from the old Nene and I can be fishing within 10 minutes of leaving home, that's walking to the river. Because I know all the farmers near me I have access to many drains that aren't usually fished. Very lucky aren't I? Thanks for replying.
Well you got me beat my walk to the river Bain is 600m 🤣 and thank you for taking the time to comment 👍🎣
Good, honest video. You've got a great choice of waters. Do you fish when it's roasting hot?
Sometimes! The Rudd love those conditions but sadly during this hot spell I'm on 12hr nights 🤣
I failed at nights!, I could never sleep, especially in the heat!
Look forward to the next video 🙂
