How durable are these things? I've been meaning to get one for a long time but bad reviews speak of the rubber parts tearing which would be a huge financial waste if it happened within or even over a year of work.
Very durable in my experience using the century bob never had one break in the years I have been using them. I definitely recommend also I have provided links in the description of my videos to purchase your own
Is your bob still in good shape? I bought one lastnight and someone said the head ends up getting soft bc the stuffing breaks down? Is this worth $350???
My question is how would this stand up to a bokken? I’ve destroyed 2 heavy duty archery targets just doing strike training with my Suburito. This would be awesome practicing precision striking but would I just tear his head off. $400 is a lot to spend.
I think the century bob holds up pretty well against bokken wooden practice swards as well as kendo bamboo swords I use both on bob for precision striking but I do not use full force I think a wooden 4x4 with shaved edges is best for power strikes I will make a video demonstrating on bob be sure to subscribe and turn on notifications for all future videos
Yes all free standing bags move a bit every time you strike I see it as a good thing tho keeps you moving repositioning yourself. Thanks for watching be sure to subscribe
It all depends on what you fill the base with, if you just fill it with water then yea it's going to be very unsturdy, i filled the base of my bob with nothing but sand, and very fine sand aswell so the base alone weighs around 100kg+ the only time i can really get him to move around alot is when i throw spinning back kick or a teap kick. His movement also depends alot on how high up you set the body, the higher up the more he moves and if you do body shots he moves alot less than if you do head punches.
I will make a video on that for you tonight it will premier tomorrow at noon thanks for watching also have alot of videos on century bob drills you can find a Playlist on my channel titled century bob drills
@@PRIDEMARTIALARTS When i was young i was very much into all forms of grappling wich fler very natural to me. As i approach middle age and home training is my only option for the forseable future i got a BOB.
Descided to tech myself beginner lvl boxing on it. Some boxing coaches say you should only practice the jab for the first couple of months. To hell with att i taught and started throwing wild "combos", or uncontroled flaying as i realised it was. Returned to practicing only jab with some footwork.
I wish Century martial arts would get their head out of their asses and quit worrying silly arm attachments for blocking and make an entire full body dummy made from the same rubber material with not just the Upper torso but also a set of legs so people can practice kicking the legs! Low kicking a person's legs is a huge weapon in a street fight and not everybody has access to a banana bag!
Thank you coach! I got a Bob during quarantine when my boxing gym closed. Between Bob dummy and double end bag I made my own home boxing gym!
Nice keep on training be sure to subscribe for more I have a lot of good double end bag drills as well
the biggest advantage is that he can't fight back
Lot of good tips n advise
Thank you be sure to subscribe lots more content on my channel I'm sure you will enjoy even have a Playlist of century bob drills

Just uploaded century bob vs bokken wooden sword check it out hope it helps
I feel like the bob isn’t very sturdy when punching with power. When you hit it with a Lowe shot does it rock around and lose balance?

The BOB is really fun to punch away at. But why is the tummy area hard and the face and head soft? Should be the other way around to be realistic.
