Hello from Norway, we have a saying here that i have heard since i was a child, "Nature is Norwegians Church"... I think that is a beautiful thing, if one takes that to heart you will understand this world in a new way, and also get a more respectful view of animals and their place alongside us humans in nature. Very glad that Ward'runa touches more hearts all over the world.
I have many Wardruna and other Norse folk groups on my playlist - the way it affected you is the same way it affected me. I use their music for my writing and other things; great form of meditation music
Pretty pretty pretty! A constant choral sound in the background, howls of wolves, rhythmic drum beats, a hoarse singing voice accompanying the rhythm, and the wonderful voice of the vocal that fluctuates in high and low scales, and in some moments making a peal movement. voice giving a wild connotation to the interpretation! Perfect acoustics in the Acropolis, which reverberates the sound, crossing physical barriers, dissipating throughout the place! It is very reminiscent of shamanic culture around the world, Nordic, Russian, Slavic, but widely spread among the indigenous peoples of the Americas, who use these percussion instruments and singing, to make a spiritual connection with their ancestors and their power animal! Here in this case, the wolf! While listening and watching you, other reactions that you have already made came to mind, with Eivor, Heilung, Ummet Ozcan, Otyken and with this last group, you literally immersed yourself in the music, letting yourself be carried away by the rhythm and dancing with that unique style of yours! Man! That was beautiful to see! Despite being a metalhead, I've already realized that these shamanic rhythms move your soul, your true essence, because they take you back to times that you can't say when, that remind you of situations that you didn't experience here, that you want to return to, but don't know where! Speaking of which, have you tried creating your family tree to find out who your earthly ancestors are? Your great-grandparents, your great-great-grandparents? Where are they from: English, Norwegian, Swedish, French, Irish, etc. Because from up there, from the high places, your ancestors are very different! And that’s where its true essence came from! Our true essence! I love seeing, even in just a few minutes, you make this soul connection! You are overflowing with light! I see light in you! Your smile shines, your eyes shine even brighter! Your true essence manifests! Man! Jesus! Ah excitement here! Beautiful reaction Tauri! Thanks! Kiss in your heart! ❤️🌷🫶
Gamle Grá // Old Grey… Eg hugsar ringen før den brotna // I recall the ring before it broke… Songen din rørar djupt i meg // Your song stirs something deep within Som taumar rakt frå minna dreg // Like chords pulling straight from memory Eg finn ikkje ord, dei er for meg gøymd // I can’t find the words, they still remain veiled Men det er noko gamalt, det er noko gløymd // Yet I know it is old, I know that it’s forgotten Eg hugsar når du jaga fritt // I remember when you roamed freely Eg hugsar når me jaga saman // I remember when we roamed together Eg hugsar oss, før vegen skildes // I remember us before our paths got separated Eg hugsar ringen før den brotna // I remember the ring before it broke Alltid var på meg, og eg på deg // Always wary about you, and you about me Alltid var på deg, og du på meg // Always wary about me, and I about you Berre spring, til mine skogar // You may run to my forests Berre jag, i mine fjell // Roam freely in my mountains Før din flokk til mine dalar // Lead your pack to my valleys Lat oss laga ringen heil // Let us restore the ring Eg skal syngje deg vegen, heil // I shall sing you safe on your way Eg skal syngje heimat, heil // I shall sing you safely home
there is a danish-faroese band called valravn. i like their music a lot, they have really good live material and the singer has a very distinctive voice that reminds me of björk, but a björk that has decided to make nordic music. wardruna is a band that keeps growing in me since the symphonic viking voyage
I cannot begin to tell you the feelings I had throughout this! Let's just say I got so damn emotional I cried for the duration of the show...Magnificent is one word that comes to my head. My son is still pissed I didn't take him with me lmao. We clapped so damn much my palms were swollen for two days (arthritis my love I hate you)... And I think at the end we made poor Einar cry a bit lol....
Hi Tauri:-). Awesome reaction of a great performance! You have probably heard it already, but if not, you got to react to "Andvevarljod" from the "Kvitravn" album. That song just takes me places🙂
Hi there from Spain....you also should pay attention to native american music...not so different and coming from the same source. Native americans has being exterminted and their culture forced to be forotten.

I'll see them in October, too...in Chile. I feel very excited!
I find it interesting that even though I don't understand the language it can still be very emotional. Loved it! Thanks T..
That's the power of foreign language music. You feel the message of it.
Going to see Wardruna at the Royal Albert Hall in London, first time seeing this group and it is definitely going to be a experience
Finding a woman who loves, treasures, and needs music like this seems to be quite a challenge. Why is that ?
Small sample size.

Try checking the band Faun as well, same genre.
next i would recommend Heilung - Traust live
