My fully upgraded CBXR board is about 31lbs. The 35lbs on the GT is not an issue at all. With more power comes more weight. Everyone is saying their fully modded XRs is still better than the GT dont understand that the difference is the internals. An 18s2p battery configuration cannot be achieved on an XR. When GTs catch up in aftermarket accessories, the GT will have an edge over the XR on paper just from the higher voltage internals. I will be keeping my XR and getting a GT. Which will I ride more? We'll have to see
@@namelessvermillion8188 yes, its an 18s2p battery providing approximately 75 volts. The XR is a 15s2p and CBXR is 15s3p providing 63 volts. No matter how you upgrade an XR, you cant increase the voltage because the controller isn't designed for it
Definitely making me want one. Like you said winter sad face. But next spring hopefully it’ll be out and people doing reviews. I have no issues with the price. Obviously it’s really expensive but that doesn’t mean it’s not worth it
The reason they increased the price for the pint was to incentivize people to go with the pint x instead of the pint. Only spending $950 for a onewheel seems like a good sell to most. But if it’s $1,050 then the common thought process is to just spend a few hundred more for the better board.
If my memory is correct, the pint is allowed for traveling on airplanes , but the pint x considering how large the battery capacity is, it's not allowed. The pint is a little bit more lighter too. So I think if you travel by airplane a lot, in general, the pint might be a better fit.
Thanks for talking some sense into me. I've been trying to justify upgrading my Pint to the X but I've already VnR'd it so I have plenty of range. I have the chi quart battery for my pint and I personally hate it. I don't like hating on the product because it is quite possible I was sold a faulty one, however I get less mileage then before upgrading and I don't feel nearly as safe on the board. Just a slight warning for you. If you decide to go forward with getting one, definitely have their team install it for you, and do a thorough range test to prove you're getting the range promised.
Do you have 5059 software? Cus then you have to get the JWFFM chip and that's another 250. Plus having to do saudering and all the things that could go wrong.
The 20 mph limit is for legal reasons. For example, you wont find an electric bike that will go over 20 mph, because if it did, it would have to be called a motorcycle and you would have to get a license. Not sure what they would call a OneWheel that went over 20mph, but you get the point.
The e bike argument makes sense but what about e boards? The meepo hurricane has a top speed of 37mph and you don’t need a license to ride it. I think OneWheels can’t go above 20mph because of the size of the board itself. Can’t cram anymore batteries in there or else you risk having to make the board bigger, therefore making the OneWheel too heavy and uncomfortable to ride.
@@Syuurp great point about e-boards. was thinkin the same thing. I think our OWs are also more dangerous when we fall due a lot to the stance & that FM is also trying to avoid more critical injuries, fatalities, liabilities
The quart does anecdotally provide higher torque. The motors on all the Onewheels are the same, better batteries give a small boost but most of the difference in speed (e.g. between GT and Pint X) just comes from a larger tire.
I honestly wish that they would bring something new into the XR segment. Larger size board, but at a lighter weight and lower price than the GT. I honestly don’t see myself buying either a GT (too heavy and expensive), or a pint x going forward, sooo, where does that leave me one my XR goes?
All their models are too slow. 1500 watt motor is a bottleneck. Wish they'd go the way of esk8 and sky the limit it. It's got a massive battery, could power such a bigger motor and in turn get a 30mph+ speed and less nose-dives. Folks won't nose-dive all the time. 19mph is too slow, everyone will surpass that. The 30mph of my esk8 is good, don't get overtaken by every car, can commute safely. The ride of a OW is so sweet just a shame they're so slow.
@@DG-xj7pm sorry I said 1500 watts, that would be better, it's 750 watts. Reason I guess it to try and make it legal like ebikes. They're capped at 3 horsepower, 750 watts and I think it's 15mph. The lasted GT video he says he's going 16mph+ so it doesn't look like the speed has changed at all, even the 1 or 2mph. I do believe you will be able to sustain going at 16mph for longer than the XR would before nose-diving just for giggles. It's a right pain. I'm not saying 30mph is fast just in cities it tends to be the speed limit, making going with the flow much safer. I do enjoy going a little over on hills on my esk8 but 30mph is all I ask. For the price, can't justify the broken bones I'd get by pushing the board beyond what it's capable of. Maybe in another 4 years FM will do an upgrade justice. Or maybe some Chinese companies will release a better one. It doesn't say what gradient the GT can do but I'm guessing 15 degrees, maybe 20. Esk8 is at 40 degrees. I'm in a hilly city. And Onewheels are illegal here just like esk8 but not policed. So hop to it already FM! Lol
I think there’s a reason on the capping. It has more to do with the fact that y’know… there’s regulations in states that strictly enforce that electric devices like bikes, scooters and etc cannot surpass 20 MPH. It can get close to 20 or just 20 but never over or it’d be classified as an automobile that’d require certification/licenses to operate.
@@CosmicGaijin yes I did cover the legality. I don't see what's different between onewheels and eskates, where the sky's the limit.. they don't feel the need to cap the speed. FM has got to be losing a lot of skater customers that don't make the jump for this 1 limitation.
i think if you are going to get a pint X you should get an XR because they are the same specs and same price. the reason i say that is because the XR is much more stable and overall feels better than the pint.

But once you learn how to ride a EUC…you may change your mind about wanting to keep it long term…
Could happen!
have seen people pushing the GT past 28MPH its kinda nuts
Not everyone has as tight of a wallet as you. Transportation costs have skyrocketed since yours came out, in case you haven't heard that makes everything on Earth more expensive. So yes, that is how it occasionally works. Try running a large company. Great video though! Thanks 😊!
You should get a euc 😂
Nah you’re still better off getting Pint X. 1400$ and you get a stronger battery than the quart plus higher top speed and more torque. Way better than a regular pint and having to tear it apart and spend hundreds for that battery for something not as nice.
Say whaaaaaat?????
Blasphemy!!... Sacrilege!!.. how dare anyone trash my One Wheel GT!!
My wife bought it for my 70th Birthday and it's the most therapeutic thing I've ever owned!
Yeah, sure,.. I couldn't get 5 feet on it at first.. took nearly half an hour to get 20 yards without feeling the need to jump off.. but now I can ride it all over town!!.. through the Mall!.. cruise streets and sidewalks til my legs finally get tired and I still have enough battery power to make it back home!!
When it comes my time to go,.. just let me go there with my One Wheel GT !
👍❤👍
No news about nose dives??
I think they kept the pint because it's the only one you can carry onto an airplane due to battery size.
Have you taken onto the airplane? Did they give you troubles ?
Try Vesc Pls
Anyways I'm gonna wait until next year to get the new XR (Get all the bugs out first)
I'm gonna get the Miles Phantom. It will go up to 30 mph and get 30 miles.
Has 4 wheels and it don't shut off going to fast or nose dive going downhill from overcharging.
Still works as a skateboard on a dead battery.Try that with the Onewheel.
DO NOT USE THIRD PARTY BATTERIES!!!! I ruined my Pint upgrading the battery. It got stuck in an error loop forever and nobody could fix it. Going back to the old one, draining it, recharging, disconnecting everything, nothing worked.
Yeah wth? Why would they up the price?!?! I’ve bought a battery from JW battery and that came with the chip for the Gemini firmware 😎
becUse they can. haha
@@AeRmeVoL fair enough lol
Hey wasn't you in Jeepers Creepers 🤣
Hey Richard, I live in Chattanooga, TN and would love to ride sometime if you ever make it up this way (or if I make it down there). Would also love to collab on a video if interested. Let me know!
Hey man! I’d for sure be interested in a collab. Your videos are great
@@RichardKohberger I appreciate it! Your's as well! Let's get something going. I'm not sure what yet but I'm guessing something OW related. ha
Prices is going up on materials everywhere.. you lived under a rock?
I hear they married to battery to the controller and may not work. Ya sucks. I thought is was a onewheel not an i wheel
Just don’t download the firmware and your fine
bro, ain't nobody playing with you. hook up that next video.
Hello bratha how are you today
Doin' great!
Ow has more fun than euc,so much tricks you can learn. Euc has more range and speed,if that’s what you need go for it
The prices pint went up bc of inflation
'Cause the floatwheel exists.
Future motion is a shady ass company
For electric vehicles most states have a law stating they can not go faster than 20 miles an hour. So they will never make one go faster than that.
XR is much better than any Pint
Tour common core math is messed up
euc
When you go euc you won't go back 😀
I guess we’ll EU See
@@RichardKohberger I do still want a gt tho I like all pevs good to have different types.
@@RichardKohberger great video by the way!!
inflation
chi pint quartz is not even close to the pint x. lol
Nice trick just taking someone else's videos then adding a comment 🤣
😝 P R O M O S M.
