I say get rid of the IRS and income tax and go back to funding the entire government by taxing imports... You will see manufacturing come back to the U.S. almost overnight with job creation.
With as much not stupid deregulation as possible. Open up the energy sector, and we're a powerhouse again.
It is scary that AOC is still an elected official.
None of these WEF puppets were actually elected. They interviewed a bunch of people in her district and they didn't even know who she was.
It just means the price of housing goes up $25,000.
You want to help me buy a house? Block companies like Blackrock from buying all of them up
This right here. Get major investment firms out of residential real estate, prevent them from buying up blocks/neighborhoods only to artificially raise the price to turn around and sell them all for that artificially inflated price.
She's talking about straight up Soviet and North Korea communism
Yep she's talking bout it for everyone else ...but her
Commies are gonna commie
@@leejee88 absolutely... These people should be in prison for even trying it!
We need a law making it so we must have a balanced budget every year. It will hurt but it needs to be done. Quit all the stupid spending
Government sends a fortune overseas and then talks about the deficit. How long has this gone on ? 😮
In 2007 I put half down on my house, and in 2011 I paid it off. My property tax is $240 a year. Yes, I live way out in the sticks. I did this to retire.
The best and most realistic answer from either candidate on how to attack inflation and the cost of living it's very simple... Less government spending!
@@outoftheashes_ yes
I smell another version of the infamous Sub Prime excrement hitting the fan if she gets in and gets that 💩 pushed through.
They don't even print extra money anymore. It's just digits now. Just imagine the nightmare of a digital world currency. Sounds like end of the world stuff
Gov needs to get the hell out of our lifes they brake shi# then try fixing it with more bad policies!
The Federal Governmemt can never seem to keep spending within budget constraints. There's always more stuff they dream up to throw money at, but I don't recall the last time there were any significant spending cuts.
It's not my impression that the Federal Gov't has been doing more for me in the past 15 years. And yet the price tag for all their "services" keeps growing. Maybe it's time for us all to say, "STOP. QUIT WASTING OUR MONEY."
Maybe there should be a rule that for every dollar added to the budget, they need to cut two dollars. And we'll fire any politician who is malicious with their choices in spending cuts. Get rid of subsidies before cutting crucial social services that people rely on.
@@JeffPalasek-cw2hv we have consistently seen spending cuts since the 80s. We have also constantly seen tax cuts. I want gov spending but I want that spending on investment in its own population via housing guarantees, education, healthcare and job opportunities.
You have to pay property tax and house insurance. You have to fix the plumbing. Twenty-five thousand won't get you any house but a fixer upper. And that will be a money pit. Corporations are buying up houses and there won't be much left for the average buyer.
This is a hard one for me. As someone who may not have a home much longer, all the apartment buildings another places where lots of people live, the decent ones are expensive. And the "affordable ones" all have issues with roaches, mold...etc. Being a germaphobe, having issues with mold....etc. This scares me. I may have to live in one of these run down places with my wife.
I wish there was affordable places to live that DIDN'T suck. Heck, I'll take the mold if I have to. Just no roaches please. I just can't.
More government isn't the answer
what really needs too happen is banning all investment banks and private equity from investing in homes and residential parks. do this and a big chunk of the problem is solved.
My husband purchased a home with government assistance on the down payment. He has to live there 10 years. No renters no subleasing. Within the first 6 months the furnace had to be replaced. The following spring the central air and then we had a hail storm. Roof and fence line totally replaced. There's always a catch!
AOC thinks that debt is meaningless and governments can spend infinite amounts of money with no consequences, she actually said that
Yep she's a child who thinks government has a big pot of money .that never runs out ..not realizing government has money due to tax payers
I'd be buying a woodchipper to keep the neighborhood nice.
Vetting with Extreme prejudice
There are plenty of ways to make small housing affordable, but it's not in the interest of governments to do so. Less tax revenue
If we eliminated "tip culture", without creating an equal "service fee" to subsidize sit down restaurants for labor costs, leaving it up to the business to compensate with a "livable wage", no one would be able to afford to go out to eat... Restaurants as we know them would disappear. It's simply not possible to create that revenue without drastic price increases. Drastic.
One of Elon's long stated goals is to make them cheaper and cheaper and cheaper. He will get to a 20k model. And 20k is getting less and less every day.
The problem with Democrat plans right now is they are treating symptoms and not the core issue. Treating symptoms doesn't fix the issue, and the issue will continue to get worse. What they are doing would be like having cancer and a doctor saying, "Well take tylenol for any pain you may experience."
Money Printer go Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr
The US needs to make the debt the #1 priority. We are going to destroy the next 5-10 generations future and quality of life if we keep going down this path. Also SSI-SSR and SSD does not need to grow slowly there is less than 77k people that collect all SS benefits nationally every year. 2/3 of the SS budget is paid in overhead in wages to judges and staff. Then money from the funds are diverted to pay for other programs.
You still must prove you earn enough to pay for the house. Plus, there is lots going on with owning a home after closing day. For example, to start - expensive home owners insurance fees, taxes (that seem to increase yearly), multiple costs for any home repairs, maintenance and upkeep. What about projects? Just keeping up your lawn is a huge expense every year single year.
So, if you can't afford to save the down payment on your own, you can't afford to own a home.
Elon getting paid back is all
Get rid of property taxes once your house is paid off completely. You shouldnt have to pay anything on something you fully own.
I thought you were going to step back from the politics after we found out Russia was paying people to make us all fight with each other
they would be better off buying old apartment complexes and turning them into terrerium's where the rent is priced off the minimum maintenance of the building while any extra rent is voted on by the residents to decide on any upgrades like new washers/ weight room/ pool cleaning, ect.
this would keep rent at a minimum while incentivizing the resident to keeping the property clean and safe.
but the government can't buy any new apartment complexes to keep the incentive to build luxury apartments for the retail market and not cheap tofu apartments, and only after 20ish years can these building be purchased to turn into terrarium style apartments. so the buildings have to be profitable and nice enough to find renters in the meantime ensuring quality housing.
so that way there is cheap apartment housing where all the profits are going back into the building, but other options still exist like better newer apartments that are being built, and traditional homes so the retail market has incentive to keep building and selling.
It is outragouly expesive, to office int living
Reducing codes, can cit it down, but the building still has limitations
Ok, deficit 381 billion, revenue 307 billion. Yeah, that's a negative 74 million? How is that "more then twice" the amount of revenue? Unless my math is incorrect, and it might be, it would be 24.1%. Which is bad, but it's not 200+ percent.
Glasses for greedy eyes.
This lady still exists?
I feel the same about Elon Musk! He's okay.
But people act like he's a super genius savior god. They put that man on a pedestal.
And those stupid glasses.

I don't see any politician trying to have a balanced budget these days. Didn't Trump leave with a record 8 Trillion of debt over his 4 years.
8 trillion, with the vast majority coming in the last year cause of covid. That being said, it's Congress's job to create the budget, not the president. Unfortunately, with Congress being the way it is currently, it'll never have a balanced budget.
@@barryward2128 His budget was very high before covid as well. He also championed cutting the corporate tax rate from 35% to 21% because apparently corporations weren't racking in enough billions of dollars. I agree we aren't going to have a balanced budget anytime soon which is really stupid considering we pay more in interest on our debt each year than the 800+ billions we spend on the defense budget.
@@solitude7566 it really wasn't though it was still inline with Obamas administration until covid hit and everyone decided to shut everything down and begged the government for money for 2 years. The tax cuts did more good than you give it credit for but I guess you can't see that cause "arrrgh those corporations are making more money"
Stop military spending in 2023, with $ 916 billion U.S. dollars dedicated to the military. That constituted over 40 percent of the total military spending worldwide that year, which amounted to 2.4 trillion U.S. dollars.4 July 2024. Trump’s Tax Cut-A-Rama Total So Far: $9.75 Trillion US commitment to provide Israel with at least US$2.7 billion in military aid annually for ten years; in 2009 it was raised to $3 billion; and in 2019 raised to a minimum of US$3.8 billion. So what's the problem or are you worried it might affect rental properties. Peace out.
Housing should objectively not be treated as a private asset but as a public utility and a necessity. Every American citizen should be guaranteed housing. Full stop. Welfare spending should be partially redistributed towards providing all Americans housing.
Edit: You just described why banks should not be allowed to own housing...
Edit 2: 85% of skyscrapers cannot be converted into housing and the cost of doing this to the 15% that could would be 3X more than it would be to build new housing of the "missing middle" variety and to provide mortgage/rental assistance to every American spending more than 25-30% of their income on housing costs.
@RexTheRebel
How could housing not be treated as a private asset? Are you suggesting making it illegal for private citizens to own, buy or sell houses?
If that's not what you mean, then I apologize for not being able to wrap my brain around what you're saying. Maybe you could explain.
@@JeffPalasek-cw2hv private individuals can own their own homes (as a home would be considered personal property) but banks and corporations are prohibited from privately owning residential property. Individuals would only be permitted to own maximum 3 residential properties.
It's understandable that you or anyone else would not be able to wrap your head around the idea of a non market based means of distributing resources because that's what capitalism has successfully done; make all other means and alternatives seem incomprehensible. It's by design to control the range of thought and solution to problems so that the profit motive can swoop in and dictate the terms no matter what. I seek to end that parasitic, exploitative relationship to capital.
Saying objectively when you share your opinion doesn’t turn your opinion into an objective fact.
No one should be guaranteed anything accept what’s protected under the bill of rights. You can earn what you get or you should get nothing. It’s absurd to claim people should be given mortgage/rental assistance. If the government can afford to do that they are obviously taxing people to much. A better option would be to just lower taxes so people don’t need hand outs from the government to afford a place to live. Big government harms citizens more than it helps. Socialism sucks.
@@RextheRebelI can wrap my head around what you’re saying. Because it’s as simple as it is stupid. Breaking it down you’re essentially saying we should all have the option to be on Section 8 and have government limits to the type of and the number of properties anyone can own. Basically a property allotment / cap.
You’re basically outlining an extremely dumbed down aspect of Marxism. Could’ve saved yourself a lot of typing if you just said wanted that.
@@RextheRebelNo, the 300 million people that your ideology killed last century is what allows us to see that capitalism is the most moral.
MRLboyd, HI YA DOIN SIR. GREAT VIDEO. KEEP UP THE 👍 GOOD WORK.!!!!!
I HEARD A DETAILED TALK ABOUT CONVERTING OFFICE. BUILDINGS TO HOUSING UNITS AMD THEY SAID THAT IT WOULD BE EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE AND NO ONE WOULD EVER DO IT BECAUSE THEY WOULD GET THEIR INVESTMENT BANK FOR DECADES. OFFICE BUILDINGS BROADCAST BOXES WITH HUGE EMPTY INTERIORS. ENTIRE APARTMENTS WOULD HAVE TO BE BUILT INTO THESE INTERIORS. ALL NEW PLUMBING, ALL NEW ELECTRICAL, ALL NEW FRAMING AND ALL NEW SHEETROCKING, ALL NEW FLOORING, ALL NEW KITCHENS AND ALL THE BATHROOMS, IT WOULD BE VERY EXPENSIVE TO CONVERT LARGE EMPTY BOXES TO APARTMENT BUILDINGS. THE INVESTORS WOULD NOT GET THEIR MONEY BACK FOR 10 OR 20 YEARS. I THINK GOVERNMENT WOULD HAVE TO DO IT. CUTTING US MORE AND MORE IN DEBT.
True, the Roi would be extremely slow, with what we spend on nonsense, we could fund this project.. lower interest for commercial builders and contractors, etc
A balance budget, make the clowns in DC work for a living.
