Honestly, you showing us your normal skin in videos regularly makes me feel positively about my own skin. With youtubers using filters to make their skin look perfect all the time it's hard to feel good about yourself but YOU do things differently and personally I love it!

My dad taught a course to med students on how mental health affects the body for years. Unfortunately it was recently cut from the university’s curriculum but I liked her point about raising the awareness of that connection!

I used Ponds all through middle school and high school. It worked well to keep my dry eczema prone skin moisturized. Then, I found Derma e and have been hooked on them ever since.
Just to let people know, orange blossoms do not smell like oranges. They smell kinda like Jasmine. Don't put citrus on your skin! Enjoying the videos!

The ponds dry skin cream is the only moisturizer that feels like it’s actually doing it’s job.. I’ve tried the cerave moisturizing lotion did NOTHING for me and the fab one sucked too. I know I’ve tried tula and some others but I really enjoy the ponds! The cold cream as well.
Have you tried cetaphil cream?

Pond's is superior to CeraVe or Cetaphil honestly. People are afraid to use it because it's kind of a "grandma" face cream but it is legit amazing.

The ponds dry cream is the only moisturiser that doesn’t break me out. Any other thing u try does break me out so bad. So, I think she should keep it in her skincare if it works for her.

I just want to say that your struggle with acne has made you a better skincare resource for those of us struggling with acne. My skin has gotten SIGNIFICANTLY better from your suggestions. We have a similar skin type, so it's been such a great resource for me. I've tried taking recommendations from other skincare UA-camrs, but since their life experiences are different, their recommendations don't always align with me.

Love your videos and inspirational messages! My mom has been using Ponds over 50 years and it’s the only thing she uses. Her skin is amazing for someone in her 60s
So here's the thing: Ponds isn't impressive. And I really don't know why someone with her money doesn't get a better moisturizer. But for 5 bucks...I mean, if you're on a serious budget the $5 explains beating the CeraVe. And in terms of just plain petroleum jelly the Ponds is a better formulation that soaks somewhat into the skin and feels hydrating while also providing a nice late of occlusion on top which dry skin people crave. So I do understand, Ponds isn't impressive...but those are the reasons it tends to beat out the substitute that were mentioned.

I love press on nails, as a violinist and someone who doesn't wear long nails usually it's nice to have them even if just for one night knowing I can go enjoy my life normally immediately after 😍

The soap & glory cleanser looks interesting, I might have to try it. Ponds does work and the price is nice but I stopped using it since it wasn't cruelty-free.
I suffer from depression so doing my skincare can sometimes be so difficult as you said a task not self care. To help myself out when I really don’t feel like it I sit down and relax for a little while I watch 1 or 2 of your videos, I find that gives me the motivation and reminds me how much I actually love to do it. I’m then able to do my skincare and do it whilst having fun.

You mentioned Dermalogica, and as an esthetician who works solely with Dermalogica, I’d love to see some sort of review video from you! After I switched to all derm products my skin absolutely thrived and glowed, especially as an oily girl using the active clearing line!!!

Soap and Glory is British and you’re able to buy it at Boots. Very reasonable prices. When it came over here it started at CVS and was still fairly priced. Not sure when it got in to Sephora, but it’s very much a drugstore brand

would love to see a dry skin with acne routine! I'm a first year grad student and the stress has kicked up some extra acne (not that I've ever been totally acne free, I'm in my early 20s) but I'm much dryer than I was in my teens and am trying to find a good balance of acne treatment and preventing dry patches. The Naturium Azelaic Acid seems to have been doing my skin some good, I'm curious if you think that's an effective product for dry skin dealing with minor acne / post-acne hyperpigmentation. also, yes to everything about therapy!!!

In some places in the US, and depending on your diet, that could be true here, too. If you stick to staples only, cook from scratch, but generic products, no soda or snacks, it can be done.
Pond's cream is kind of a grandma moisturizer but it is amazing. It's the only face cream in my opinion (alongside the og Nivea & the 8 hour cream from Elizabeth Arden) that actually worked in anti-aging or healing skin. Because we have reviews from people that were using it their whole lives.
The Soap & Glory Micellar Water has some real nice ingredients swirling around it in, as well.

Girl. Every time you say of you want this video let me tell you my answer is ALWAYS YES. I want to really see a different types of skins like logic? And understanding? Like I want to know how oily skin functions vs dry skin vs combination skin or something. I have been watching skinfluencers for a while (very few of them i can watch without zoning out bc cHeMiStRy) but dont feel comfortable taking ppl’s word for skin stuff. You give a lot more logic and reasoning and I really appreciate that. I’d love to see a video like that from you!
I used to love the ponds face lotion. My mom has used it forever and still uses it. We both have very dry skin and rosacea. My rosacea is mild but my mom's is much much worse. But I will say, this doesn't help her rosacea at all. It also doesn't make it worse for her.
That Soap & Glory face cleanser broke my dry skin out so bad. It's super creamy so I used it as a first cleanse. It smells really good though, and you get a ton, if it works for your skin.
Ponds is the only thing that works on the dry skin portions of my face. If it really wasn't good, it wouldn't still be around.

Soap & Glory is a Drugstore brand in Canada for over 10 years. I can't believe people are buying this again. Its full of fragrance and makes you quite itchy. But it smells super nice.

Soap and Glory is made by Boots Company, the same brand that makes No#7 and also Boots(sold in Target)I only learned that from my “turning and learning” message you promote. This is the *smoothie set. Not just the original Clean on Me set I love Soap and Glory! I use tons of it, not so much a fan of the *Smoothie set, I’d rather the original.
I only remember seeing Soap and Glory in Target for the past decade.
I love love finishing my night time skin care routine with the Aloe and Rose Water spray. (Especially on days that I did the ordinary peel). My face is dry and sensitive. And it sooths my face and somehow seals in the products I put on my face, cause it is super sticky.
The sticky part? Is that a good thing? Cause it feels si great lmbo.

I only started using Instagram a few weeks ago because I didn't want to expose myself to images that made me feel bad. I have been avoiding that kind of content for a long time now. I used to hate looking at myself but now that I don't only see "body goals" pictures everyday I feel so much better. I pay attention to the real people and bodies around me and I realized that nobody looks like that. Even the models.

Hearing that Philosophy isn’t cruelty free is a drag. A while ago I got a GIGANTIC bottle of their yellow face wash (as a gift) I can’t remember the name of it at the moment and I’ve been slowly working my way through it and my skin has responded so well to it, way better than other face washes I’ve used. I’m bummed that I won’t want to get more :/ tho I’m trying to reduce plastic waste anyway so it’s added incentive to find myself a nice bar.
I think Ponds cleansing cream is great if you wear a bit too much makeup one night should you ever get out, I would recommend it and also I have been using vaseline for 40yrs as a waterproof mascara remover, everyone should have it in their bathroom and I would argue any doctor down if they say not to use it on their face or eyes, you don't need expensive mascara remover when you have vaseline and it lasts a long time.
Definitely want acne skincare for dry/super sensitive skin. Also depuffing products for the entire face for senstive skin!

I would LOVE to see more about Mario Badescu. I was once talked into buying one of the cleansers from Ulta, and absolutely detested the smell when I got home, but it also made my skin feel immediately dry (I realize this was only the first time I used it, and the reaction could have been caused by various factors, but it was just that bad). Unfortunately, this had been my first time in Ulta, and I hadn't been made aware I could return the product, and wouldn't have thought to return an opened facial product prior. My short-lived experience witrh MB makes me especially curious about a deep dive into the company, and its lawsuits/issues.
