Can i ask, for the steering, you use a DC motor on a plastic gear. How do u stop the DC motor from damaging the plastic gear thread? As the motor will keep running at the end of the thread.?

Bro, please help in fixing my RC car's rear motor. Front wheel steering is working but rear motor is not running. I modified to the RC toy to use a old 5000mah power bank instead of given battery pack so that it lasts lot more. When I directly give DC 3.0V to rear motor , it spins but it does not spin with its own circuit
