I really enjoy watching this video. The only thing I wonder about is that fight at 3:30 with Lambda-11 and the one right after with Tsubaki. In one of the forums on dustloop, it was listing some of the changes that were made from CT to CS and one about Jin was that while they were frozen, they break out at the fastest time that they can, yet in the video, Jin had time to shoot the slow ice blade and time to taunt from the other side of the screen, still making it back in time for a legit combo.
The way some people are going on it's like Jin was destroyed when he wasn't. They made him a fairer match, in that you couldn't freeze someone, take your sweet time to get to them, and then combo for free. The instant ice break only works once you've hit the ground which is pretty much true of any move that doesn't bounce you. His combos are still easily good, at 5-6k a go here, just means you have to use skill to play him rather than ice car spam and drive spam.
@flarekid10 All of the actual comboing was done on the Arcade Version of Continuum Shift, most likely a PC port of it or he actually went and bought the actual arcade game and recorded off that. And I'm not much of a Jin player myself, but from what i have played of him, all i can say is 6C is your god. It helps recover the distance you cause from dealing other hits, and it also combos into a lot of ther moves (6D, any of Jin's DPs, and Jin's arrow super.)
@Darksp3ller That footage? It was most definitely from a console version (the PC version is just a direct conversion of the 360 version anyways). Look at the date when this video was uploaded, then compare it to the release date of PC Calamity Trigger, which happens to have been August 20th of 2010 If you were playing CT on a PC before then, then what you were playing was a pirated copy run through an emulator, much like how CS was leaked onto PCs when the arcade version came out.
Actually, the last combo was NOT done in practice mode. I know little about Blazblue to be entirely honest but I do have good eyes. If you look, it says "Stage 10" above his health meter, so it is in arcade mode, that is easiest to see, and if you also pay attention, a little insignia of some kind, 2 of them actually are underneath his health bar as well. He uses 1 to completely restore his heat then launches the Astral. What those things are, I don't know.
@Czarewich Not at all. A lot of these combos are off Fatal Counters and require a large amount of heat not to mention that they require a fair bit of planning to pull off so you're not very likely to see them in real matches.
nice combos, but majority of theses combos start off with 6C which isn't so easy to do but builds up that nice damage, none the less nice video, 1:16 was epic.
Really nice moves Jin in this game is alot harder overall to fight aganist in my opionion. A few of those new moves..make him a pain in the ass to try and zone or pressure.
was able to get the idea for most of these combos but that one near the end where you KOed Ragna from full HP was insane. Would you mind telling me how you learned to do that and/or how long it took? Just curious. Anyway amazing job, seriously.
Wish the initial strike fo Jin's Yukikaze (His counter super) did damage instead of waiting on Jin to sheathe his sword....I know its to look cool and all but still.
In the console version's arcade mode you can get full heat by hitting L1 and R1. My friend showed me this in easy mode but I'm not sure if it works on any other mode.
@horo30 Don't get me wrong, I dislike what they did to Jin. His Ice Car was killed. Along with many others excluding a few, damage nerf. His air poke was turned into some straight slash (he still has the air poke but with reduced length) As every decent Jin player, I used it somewhat frequently in combos (or to get in range). Where there is lag, there will be whiffs. Whiff an ice car, you will get punished. And I'm not gonna bother with challenge mode. At least no more complaints about ice.
x.x why do people like to complain so much? *sniff* (I use jin myself and trying to main tsubaki as well instead of noel because I have a better feel for her.) I cannot find a video with the changes in Jin's move/combos unlike most of the other characters ,_.; I dunno what has range/priority anymore besides Ice car being nerfed and the ice. Guess it's gamefaqs for me
@horo30 I do believe he was somewhat cheap in CT. Pad users were sometimes at a disadvantage because they had to "roll" out of the ice. And even that got annoying. Ice car was punishable but in online laggy matches it was hell. "Are you happy? Now we cant spam ice car as much, and you wont get frozen! YAY!!! FUCKING NOOBS GOT WHAT THEY WANTED!" The way you typed that makes seem like you spammed ice car. I guess not all noobs got what they wanted. I main Jin for CS and for CT.
@horo30 And I'm fine with Jin being middle tier. Yes I know he got nerfed but I am going to deal with the nerf instead of complain to Arc or some Bang player online.

I have seen this a dozen times and I just now noticed how you switched the characters in the opening Ragna vs Jin display (which was awsome btw).

The good ol days
Amen to that. I still play cs2 on my 3ds just for that amazing j. 236D and overall better feel for jin's play.
The choreographed fight vs Ragna at the start was pretty tops.
that clash sequence was godlike, totally love this video!
Comboing the super counter vs Litchi is easily the best part.
there were some pretty amazing combos in there, and not all of them were just for flare! Nice!
@flarekid10 All of the actual comboing was done on the Arcade Version of Continuum Shift, most likely a PC port of it or he actually went and bought the actual arcade game and recorded off that.

This video is so full of awesome haha. The transitions are really cool which made me love this video as well as the combos :D
Gotta admit the scene with the Astral finish that started at 0:34 was badass lol

@TaurusType agreed, must have taken a while to get the spacing of the characters perfectly o.o

Great Vid!
beautiful jin is too stylish. crazy ass ending
wow i love having found this! last alliance is one of my favorite bands :D
I miss my CS Jin :l
The ending was flawless!!!!!!!!!
I fell in love with this vid at 0:34. That was just awesome.
0:33 should really be the intro for when jin and ragna starts to fight, AWSOMEE
The fight at the beginning must have taken awhile, it was sunny when Ragna and Jin started and after the DDs it got dark. lol
@Czarewich Not at all. A lot of these combos are off Fatal Counters and require a large amount of heat not to mention that they require a fair bit of planning to pull off so you're not very likely to see them in real matches.
amazing
this is the only video i have ever favorited
see this proves jin is still awesome even with the limited freeze time. After seeing this video; Jin C tier my ass
@Darksp3ller No, it was probably a console version; the PC version of CT didn't exist then. Why do you ask?
nice combos, but majority of theses combos start off with 6C which isn't so easy to do but builds up that nice damage, none the less nice video, 1:16 was epic.
Lol I did a double take at the Astral at the end. Great video!
I like this. good job
..This guy, whoever the hell is playing that Jin. I will now consider him or her, my god.
o-o
Really nice moves Jin in this game is alot harder overall to fight aganist in my opionion. A few of those new moves..make him a pain in the ass to try and zone or pressure.

awsome quality
Haku to Jin at 3:26 : "lrn2counter, scrub!"
I know about their relationship... Jin trolled himself hardcore
@RedStar241 That was Yukikaze rc into taunt then astral. Since the ragna was a cpu you could taunt them to get 100 heat.
0:33 - 0:51 whoa what? How the hell did you do all that? That was sick XD
Versus COM heat bonus to get astral...
NICE! Loved the video.
Wish the initial strike fo Jin's Yukikaze (His counter super) did damage instead of waiting on Jin to sheathe his sword....I know its to look cool and all but still.
is this the end of the ice car era yeah!!!!!!
In the console version's arcade mode you can get full heat by hitting L1 and R1. My friend showed me this in easy mode but I'm not sure if it works on any other mode.
@beening ragna was already in danger so he was taking 150% damage, and he wasn't quite at full hp.
You are so damn good.
3:26
hakuman: bitch plz
love the video. the best thing ive ever seen of jin XD
Mid-tier never looked so good.
THAT CLASH
lol, the end was pretty clever :P
@judgment413 Like it was stated by Azrael, Yukikaze is a Fatal counter. If you rapid out of it your opponent will be frozen waay longer.
@horo30

@Hill177 I miss that combo... With that gone, 5D is almost useless unless u ex cancel, risk it with a dash cancel to 5C or cancel with that ice wave.
@YellowMonkey32 That was probably to remove the noob effective combo of 5D, 214C
pro jin, mang. i like. i'll try to learn from this.
Is the ending in training mode? I only ask because I don't understand how else it could be achieved. Either way, it's fucking awesome.
Jin It to Win It!
x.x
why do people like to complain so much? *sniff*
(I use jin myself and trying to main tsubaki as well instead of noel because I have a better feel for her.)

Guess it's gamefaqs for me
@Am4t3r4su It could be story mode, since he taunted and got his heat back up
but i could be wrong since this is the pc arcade version
Damm i love this video! ^^
How Do you Do the Distortion Finish So Easily Bcuz I have Trouble
4:24 seconds what is that special he did? How do yu do it?
@horo30
I do believe he was somewhat cheap in CT. Pad users were sometimes at a disadvantage because they had to "roll" out of the ice. And even that got annoying. Ice car was punishable but in online laggy matches it was hell.

YAY!!! FUCKING NOOBS GOT WHAT THEY WANTED!"
The way you typed that makes seem like you spammed ice car. I guess not all noobs got what they wanted. I main Jin for CS and for CT.
How do I get the download link to work? It won't let me download it...I can't read Japanese all that well, either, so...can anyone help me out?
How do you do those counter attacks? I want to be able to do those too :'(
Lol @ pressing start for meter during the last combo
@OverlordLaharl2
he use in near all combos one ice car^^
is this PC version of CT on 00.02-00.19 ?
@CrimsonZanpakuto CS version didnt exist :]
i play CT on my PC
How did he get his heat back at 4:25?
@kudos57 The description...?
Id like to seem him clash with Bangs 5a in CS.
Never seen anything like this vid... :D
1:31 ouch Hazama got his balls chopped in half X3
@dragoslove Oh, okay, I was a bit worried that Jin had become too strong, people already gave me a hard time for using him and Nu.
wow !! this shit is awsome !!!
@horo30 If you're so angry about the Jin nerf just do what everyone else online is doing and play Bang and Ragna matches
OMFGIJUSTJIZZED!!!
@horo30
And I'm fine with Jin being middle tier. Yes I know he got nerfed but I am going to deal with the nerf instead of complain to Arc or some Bang player online.
at 3:24 who the hell wins?!?!
Stylin
Stunedge, I love you no homo.
@Oblivionstud666 practice, practice and practice. timing is the key, and a bitch xD
So what this video shows me is that Jin is just as cheap as ever.
Ima learn this ****. I already got half of them down. xD
This game has too much awesome characters. Which isn't good, because I don't know who to main even after ~100+ hours of playing =(
mid tier my ass. hes worse than before and this video proves it would love to learn some of these combos too
Ragna looks better.
