Thx for your video first , for my case after change sensor , the dash still flashing - - , then ride on high way around 10mins , turn off my bike than restart , everything back to normal and error code disappear 😙
I had the same error and by replacing wheel bearings and the one in the sprocket fix my issue. Again the bearing for your sprocket could be shot and the wheel bearings could be seized as mine were after eight thousand miles.
I have the same issue. When I replaced my gear sensor, it can detect N, but once i switch to gear 1, the indicator show -- back (unable to detect). BTW, after i change the gear sensor, i didnt clear the engine check alarm. Should I clear the engine alarm first before it can detect gear 1 and so on?
need to clear the check engine first after changing sensor. buy the Bluetooth obd tool and kawasaki cable from online store. link for the obd bluetooth shp.ee/5un2e48 and kawasaki 4 port to obd cable shp.ee/aznbg56 . you can find similar item anywhere u want online
u can replace it if u confirm the sensor is bad, the sensor is not cheap.. in my case i replaced it after tried cleaning and disconnect and reconnect the sensor but no luck.. what i do is bought new one > replaced sensor > clear check engine light with cheap bluetooth obd tools (need obd to kawasaki cable)

you're welcome, glad your bike is back to normal 👍

I have same issue. The black rubber band inside the sensor is that the proper place? Or is it also ok to put it directly to the sensor?
yes you need to out it directly on sensor, to prevent engine oil leak
Okay thank . I have the issue in the sensor but it doesn't give me check engine or any error code. Is it ok to replace it?
