- A week ago Adam's MX5 perished in a fire at our Drift Games HQ. After putting months of time into perfecting every piece of his dream car, it was destroyed in minutes. Thanks to our amazing Drift Games fans picking up merch on our website, we decided to buy him another project...

Insurance is a business, they will do anything they can to not pay out. Modified cars is one of the easiest reasons to not pay out

Yes, frankly I am shocked - how low can an insurance company stoop to refuse even a single dollars payout on his car. That’s a diabolical immoral decision.
He wld have been better off saying the mx5 was stolen. They're unlikely to find its vin in the remains of the fire.

Check out their other videos, they have done so much cool stuff. I highly recommend their DMEC video from last year, they built a racetrack inside a soccer stadium in Poland, sold out all 55k seats, put on an incredible competition, then tore it all down in 5 days. They showed all the behind the scenes stuff with the construction and all that, awesome video series.
And so it begins. You are almost back Dave, you can still hear it in your voice, but it will come, and I'm inspired by you and the team's resilience. Guess I need to go buy something else on the site so we can see another new project, if that's all it takes, I'm on it.
No insurance cover because of where Adam parked his car.. insurance companies are absolute con artists!

So damn stoked for Adam and for this build !! I'm Australian and I had a Datto 1600 with a SR20 turbo'd and that thing use to get down.......I still regret ever getting rid of it 💯 What beast to startwith and can't wait to see Adam build it to his dream 👍

When the fire happened, I was really gutted for Adam,, he comes across as such a genuine happy guy. After watching a small % of the amount of hassle he had with the mx5. 5 engines. And that was the best mx5 I've seen. So glad for him. Nice one Dave and the guys, and anyone else who was involved. Legends.

Not as a charity, but as us giving back to you. You guys give us so much in the form of entertainment, motivation and education. It's a community and communities come together to help in times of need.
Mad happy for Adam, insurances are painful, they aren't really there to help, they are a business and as any business, they maximize turnover.
This was awesome to see and especially because I am a big fan of the old Datsun's of that era. I have a 1970 Datsun 510 4 door (Datsun named it a 1600 in Australia).
It's great to see you guys are being able to get back into to swing of things. You have mentioned in your last few videos about not wanting charity but I urge you to consider carefully how you think about that. I'm a fairly recent subscriber but I can tell that you guys as a team have given a lot to not only your UA-cam community but also your local and international Drifting Community. Your contribution has helped promote it to a level that it wouldn't be at without you so don't be too hesitant to accept help that will do the same for you. People want to support you and they feel confident giving to you guys because they know that if Drift Games gets better as a company it elevates the sport, the community and the businesses that rely on it. They want Drift Games to be back the way it was as soon as possible and if those that are able, want to contribute to make that happen, just consider whether refusing their "charity" isn't taking from them the opportunity to have that.
Just a thought.

What a fabulous little Sunny! 🤍 Datsun were pretty ubiquitous in Australia in the 70's & 80's and popular little rally cars too.... I have a soft spot for them as one of my dad's rally cars was a Datsun 1600. Adam's going to have a blast making that his own, looks in better condition than I remember them being brand new! LOL What an amazing gesture & a fitting way to kick off the healing process. 🏁💜
