CLIP DESCRIPTION:
William (Heath Ledger) learns that Adhemar has discovered his true identity and his friends encourage him to run.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Heath Ledger stars as William Thatcher, a low-born 14th century squire who, in a fit of inspired spontaneity, replaces his deceased employer as the competitor at a jousting competition. Jousting is a pastime only permitted to knights, who are of noble birth, but Thatcher wins and decides to continue his new pursuits. With the help of his two fellow squire friends Wat and Roland (Alan Tudyk and Mark Addy) and none other than the gambling-addicted Geoffrey Chaucer (Paul Bettany), Thatcher has soon adopted a false identity and is winning one joust after another on his way to a championship in London. His victories inspire the affection of a female fan, Jocelyn (Shannyn Sossamon), and the ire of a competitor, Count Adehmar (Rufus Sewell), but Thatcher's ruse is threatened with exposure.

I love how not just Jasmine begs him to run, but all his friends as well. It really demonstrates the loyalty they have to William, and how far he's come.

Too many movies. Getting this one mixed up with Aladdin. No big deal about the mistake. What you said was so true.
The loyalty is truly demonstrated when he's in the guillatine and his friends are shielding him from food being thrown at him with weapons. That's love, and is knightly.

This scene always give me chills. Since the first time I saw it. Super awesome. He did this scene proud.

Shannon rose fast and then it seemed disappeared. It's so good we have this on film so nobody can say she couldn't act. She was incredible here and so was everybody else. Great film and so underrated. Heath Ledger RIP.

Who else is watching this after seeing Heath Ledger as The Joker.
Living in a broken house and sleep with the pigs in the winter for them not freeze outside?" And she said "yes, even with the pigs". And yeah....said such things no princess ever, lol. I think this love story is 99.9% unrealistic, bcz i never heard of a princess who left her status for loving a peasant. I think that would be very, very but very hard to happen.
Also, i rewatched the movie today, and althought not being a specialist in medieval fashion, i think that those hats that the princess used were too modern for the time, not to mention a black dress that she was with in one scene...with a transparent cleavage showing half of the breasts...hum nah...i don't think women were allowed to use such things.
Im also pretty sure that we will rock you didn't come out in medieval times so I'm not sure why it was sung at the beginning of the movie
