I'm not a car guy, I'm a latest and greatest sport bike guy... I eventually decided to watch a "historical car movie".. and I was floored. Damon, and Bale, and others captivated me from start to finish. This isn't a car movie. This is a triumph movie.
@@DanGer-dw1qxRush is a very good shout. Lauda himself said it was 80% right, which is a lot more than other supposedly “historically accurate” movies can say.
@@dimitrijensk2845 I agree....I been looking forward to the new ferrari movie because I'm a big Micheal mann fan but not hearing good things about it lol I hope I like it
@@DanGer-dw1qx it’s actually very good. There is a pretty brutal crash scene near the end but apparently it’s accurate enough considering how the bodies were afterwards. To give you an idea, this one 30-50 second scene is what gave the movie its R rating.
I can't believe I only watched this movie last week. I absolutely loved it. No need to be a racecar fan to love it. Though I'll admit the cars made it even better.
There is a story about an unbeatable Ken miles always remind me when the movie goes.how strong that man in the past, super human, this movie hell yeah.this my favorite all time
I saw it, it was good, but they put focus on a relatively lukewarm era in Ferrari history just to capture Enzos turbulent private life at the time. If they’d moved the focus to the early 60s racecar engineering and the crossover between front engined cars to the new mid-engine concept leading up to their mighty duel with Ford between 1964-67 which saw Ford crush Ferrariat Le Mans ‘66, but including their humiliation of Ford the following year at the ‘67 Daytona 24H with a 1-2-3 payback victory that delighted Enzo Ferrari then maybe this would’ve been a far more interesting movie.
I think in real life shelby was a bit more of a louder guy..it was different in this movie to see matt as the quiet charecter an christian as the aggressive charecter just weird how carroll part was so mello....i know shelby was very business when it came to racing...i expected matt ti be more robust...but when u have all the big Ford excutive sharks around u ..u have to act corporate an be corporate...he knew how
I always thought if carrol would have a movie than matthew mcconaughey would be perfect for it being from texas and the curly hair although, it was then i remembered that Matt Damon has an impeccable matthew mcconaughey impersonation and always believed that's why they chose him
See the crazy stuff they invent to give us action car shots...i know its to dangerous to give us real shots from real race cars an situations...it worked
Please say there were no classic irreplaceable cars destroyed in this movie. You know, much like no animals were harmed in the making of this film. I remember years ago for a Schwarzenegger film they bought up, I was gonna say hundreds but I don’t know the exact number, let’s just say a lot of Pontiac Bonneville’s so they could destroy them. Decimated the heard for a crappy movie.
Those replica cars are well made. Also it was wholesome to see Christian Bale having some fun

Yes he was larger than life and a total front man.

Cool. The cars in the movie look like they're going so slow because they're going so slow. 😢

I wonder how many times that they had to re do the fight scene that it ended up being real

Wow was that stunt car they used to throw thru the air a lambo diablo u see the body work come off an the lambo showed itself...
It was shot out of a big cannon. Filmed at Road Atlanta Raceway in Braselton, GA.
