Looks great! All of these Cummins swaps seem to be pretty loud in the interior, but I’m probably going to do the same thing to my 89’ crewcab squarebody 4x4. Thanks for the motivation.
I'm putting a 6.1 Cummins stroker 24v with a 7100 pump and fitting compounds at the moment. In a 74 quad cab dually. Fits like a glove. G56 trans. 373 gears. To haul my race trailer
I have used the stock AC systems but it's a snug fit, heat wrapped the exhaust pipe & sprayed the firewall & ac box with lizzard skin b4 applying a foil sound deadening all the way under the cab & inside, you have vac for the inside controls The aftermarket kits all fit inside but are visible below the dash to kick as well as your glove box becomes super small but prob your best bet unless you score a parts truck. Plan is to install a suburban rear heat & ac unit under the 3rd seat in the 6 door.

All other Cummins swaps I've seen had the motor mounts moved back on the frame to clear room for the intercooler and Rad up front. How were you able to bypass this?
I had to modify the core support a little for the intercooler but honestly the cummins fits in a squarebody better than a second gen dodge. I will look to see if I can find a picture of my core support.
I had to massage the fire wall a bit with a hammer right at the exhaust manifold. The modification to the core support were solely for the the intercooler.

Thank you. I used the slave master setup from a Jeep Cherokee can’t remember the exact year. Drilled a new hole in the stock chevy pedal and removed the spring. Power Driven Diesel and Southbend Clutch were a big help with parts selection on my build.
I just dragged a 1 owner 86 crew dually out of a barn. what size wheels and tires you go? i am looking to do something very similar with wheels and suspension.
The 12 valve doesn't take much. regular starter stuff obviously. Then for the fuel shutoff solenoid you need 12V pull i came from the starter solenoid for this and 12v hold i used the coil power from the squarebody for that.
@@justinraystyles3537 Thank you. Bought the truck with no engine. I wanted decent fuel mileage and good power. It was the best option for my situation.
As a longtime fan of old Chevy duallys, Cummins engines, and cat beasts I found this video to be excellent👍👍
Thank you!

Thanks my nephew is building a lifted version maybe I’ll do a video of it.

I just keep putting it off, and driving with the windows down. I got rid of the vacuum pump so I am pretty much pigeon holed to the aftermarket.
Nice truck man.
You gave me an idea what to do with my 88 R30 dually ,I finished my c10 1974 and my 92 gmc sierra and my next project is the R30
