I'm not all the way through the vid yet so I'll update if it changes, but you do know that Yuiffie Warping has been confirmed to work, granted it is something to do with the coding and how PS1 handled save info, but it is a thing

It’s entirely Cloud’s fault though, if he’d just decked her with the Buster Sword, Sephiroth wouldn’t need to intervene.
I think Sephiroth realised that killing Aerith was his biggest mistake in Advent Children and even in FF7R. She became way more powerful after returning to the lifestream.

37:00 This isn’t the Ultima tome lore. It’s referring to the real world lore associated with the spell. Sakaguchi wanted it to be extremely powerful, but the game’s sole programmer, Nasir, refused, stating that it was unrealistic to expect some fabled “ultimate magic” to actually turn out to be incredibly powerful. Something along the lines of how myth and legend never matched reality. In the original game, Ultima is a terrible spell, and Sakaguchi basically was forced to keep it that way because Nasir just wouldn’t do what he said. Odd times back then… :)
In FF7 Remake, when Cloud and Tifa are first doing missions together in the slums, the blitzball theme is playing in the item shop.

However the subsequent releases has it changed to being a blitzball player
The "guy that are sick" is one of the SOLDIER/Jenova experiment guys laying in the alley that wore the robes and followed Seph around, but later on they arent doing so well, probably from side-effects.
I think this is a good video to introduce people to your channel. It's succinct but informative and makes you want to find out more in depth info. And since you go into it deeper on the full numbered vids it's only logical that someone would click on them to find out more on a game they liked.

Pandoras Box in FF7 - the question mark is just the animation? its not a glitch at all, the glitch is that you can only learn it once per playthrough.
Who would have thought that Tetra master as a standalone would have flopped since people hated Tetra Master in FF9
One thing in the R equals U section that wasn't covered is that Griever was the name of Squall's pendant that you tell Rinoa about later in the game. So the monster is named after his pendant. If you chose to rename the pendant lion head the monster is renamed to that same name.

They never called it a pendant, not in game at least.
Maybe some people mixed up because his lion pendant is famous for being awesome.
But, the thing Squall named is the ring. This happens during the Garden Wars. He takes off his ring and gives to Rinoa. Remember when Rinoa is in space suffering an Sorceress induced coma murder spree? As soon as she sees the ring after a speech from Squall she comes to herself. It's CGI and all.

31:00 this is incorrect. The question mark is the attack’s intended animation. The glitch is that it can only be learned from a Dragon Zombie in the last part of the last dungeon. However, if the dragon zombie casts it on someone without the “Enemy Skill” materia, you won’t learn it and the dragon zombies (all future encounters) will never cast it again, meaning you have one shot to learn it. This is due to a bug in how dragon zombies were coded.
A lot of this video isn’t written by someone who plays Final Fantasy. I was questioning a few facts early in it, but decided to comment on this one lol. The question mark is literally the point of Pandora’s Box.

So... "You Spoony Bard" is one of Woosley's better cultural translations. The original was "you baka bard" where baka literally translates into "idiot." However idiot is something of a heavy slur in japanese, while anime use it as a comedic insult if said irl it could break friendships. Woosley chose to use the anime connotations and translate a silly yet hard hitting insult, but in the original it was probably the very serious "I disown you, you idiot bard" interpretation of "baka bard." I believe Woosley was correct in making it a bit of comedy after the tragedy of Anna's death, rather than doubling down on the tragedy.

FFXIV's Ivalice raids and storyline were made with Matsuno and they continue the story of Tactic's ending, revealing they survived and that that Orran made a paper showcasing everything that happened and was persecuted by the Church because of it.
Why are the FF8 fan theories debunked by the director/producer? Wouldnt that be up to the Writer?

I don't think that Pandora question mark thing is a glitch because that happens consistently when I use it, on every platform. I think that's just the design of the attack.
Katy Perry was featured in Final Fantasy Brave Exvius too. There were like 3-4 different obtainable versions of her and Ariana Grande. Katy Perry's character was SUPER OP for like a good year and came about a year after the Ariana Grande colab.
If you play Tetra Master against the fat choco in choco paradise you can then go around the world hitting circle on each beach and a little ding will signify you did it but when done at every beach in the game it unlocks the ability to full heal at any beach on the world map by hitting circle.

I was hoping that after the high poly flower pot in FFXIV 1.0 you would mention the low poly grapes from FFXIV 6.0
The armor shown around 11:00 is the "Ballad armor" for the Bard, Machinist, and Dancer, not the onion knight.
"The World Is Square" is also the slogan in the Final Fantasy commercials back in the day.
Dodging 200 lightning is super easy..
I failed the first time due to the lag between the sound and the flash throwing me off.
So I just turn of the sounds and wait for the screen to flash and hit the button.
Nailed it on the second try and have never failed it since.
There is literally 0 luck involved.
Its tedious AF cuz it takes like an hour and all you donis stand on the spot dodging.
But its one of the easier challenges in the game.
re: Seigfried/Zeigfried, he was also added into FFXIV as a rare easter egg in the Phantom Train raid fight. There's a small chance that when you retreat into a train car to avoid an instant KO effect that rather than facing down a generic ghost enemy, Seigfried will be waiting for you in the car instead.

the 200 lightning bolts is easy, there's a spot marked on the ground where a trigger for a lightning strike is and a bump in the ground to mark where you need to run around to make the strike happen at nearly the same time every time you run over the mark.

Im pretty sure there is a few in-game uses for Tetra master.
Been a loooong time since I played FF9 but I KNOW there were some special cards you needed for something.
Maybe it was used to synthezise something, or maybe you traded it for an item to synthezise with?
I dont remember but I know I played way past the point where it was fun in order to get *something* and I NEVER wouldve if it was pointless.

I'd like to add that there's a spot in the thunder plains where you can safely run back and forth and trigger a thunder strike consistently, making it a bit simpler and way less random. (I'm sure a simple search in YT would show it)

Ultimecia being Rinoa (and her being love with Squal) was the only thing that made Rinoa interesting. It was also one of the possible theories that made Ultimecia a final boss that made some sense... it tied heavily into the lore and the whole setup off the game and made the game and its ending better. So it is really depressing that this was not the case. Further confusing the issue, when Squall first meets up with Ultimecia in the original Dissidia game, the dialogue between the two of them almost flat out show the player that Ultimecia was Rinio... which suggest that the programmers of that game either didn't agree with the original writer of FF8, or that they (much like probably most fans of the game) also believed this theory to be true.
Game creators should notgame their ideas just because fans want them to so I don't want the creator to change his original intent... but when the author mentioned in an interview that he wouldn't change the Ultimecia part in any possible future remake... but that he might use the "Squall is dead" theory, this just made no real sense.
While The author might have found the "Squall is dead" theory more interesting... that theory changes the entire game at the core, while the Ultimecia one only highlights the theme that was already there. Furthermore... with Rinoa being so boring and Ultimecia always feeling like she was never really explored properly, it just seems odd to me.
Anyway... "The landing" sounds a LOT more like the theme from the movie The Rock, than "Raid on Dollet" does. So replacing RoD with TL make no sense if it was because they were afraid that they would be sued.
R=U is definitely true. There are too many things that support it. It’s also not up to any maker of a piece of art to decide how it is interpreted.

45:54 The most powerful weapon for Steiner, Excalibur II, is obtained in the final dungeon of FFIX. The catch? You need to get to that dungeon in under 12 hours of in-game time. To get there in that amount of time requires missing out on a *ton* of content, and by the time you reach the final dungeon, you're locked out of almost every previous area in the game. In this sense, a "perfect" run isn't possible.
Seen a perfect run that has every item.
You actually can go back from Memoria after getting the Excalibur II, and there are routes to getting every side-content done before the Excalibur II
Its actually pretty doable to have a perfect ff9 run with excalibur 2 without skipping anything. there are a few routes you can take. did that once myself. Its a pain in the ass but definetly possible
@@zokora3656 Last time I played FF9 it was a pain in the ass just rushing the game to Amarant joining, just so he didn't miss out on magic stones, due to the level up mechanics. Getting the absolute "Perfect" run would be insanity-inducing.
It is technically possible to reset the game clock and collect Excalibur 2 after playing through everything else. The catch? Resetting the game clock requires something like 2 years of game time.

The other FF9 card game is blackjack. You enter a code and the end screen.
I think they confirmed Earth doesn't exist in FF7 but in a new universe at the end of the XIII Trilogy with the same planets around.

Corrections:
1. The numbering issue right at the beginning, the numbering order had been fixed on the Playstation 1 remake and all later releases. The FFII and FFIII numbering for the SNES versions are such a minor thing un the current year that those specific releases cause more confusion now than the jump from FF"III" to FFVII ever did.
2. Yang returns to the party after the attack from Leviathan after the raid of Fabul as a part of the main story quest. That is known and unavoidable and not what the Reviving Yang entry was referring to. The event in the Tower of Bab-il where you lose Yang for the second time leads to him permanently leaving the party (or until the endgame in the GBA and PSP versions). Reviving Yang refers to either using the frying pan to wake up him up as a part of the Sylph summon quest, or the playground rumor that you could get him back in your party in place of Kain or Edge for the endgame.
Considering stranger within basically connected them all. Iceberg got a heck of a lot bigger
Kind of? But also no. Like I got the impression that either Stranger is noncanonical or is retconning recently confirmed lore. Like it treats X and VII as seperate worlds, which we only just recently got confirmation that they are not.
Final fantasy 8 was in development right around the time Dead Poets Society came out so I think that may have had something to do with Robin as headmaster cid. I could totally be wrong though.

i have seen a few of thee vids now and they never seem to mention that redxiii was a date option as well... i definitely played with him in the gondola. I was surprised cause i was trying to get barret on that play through... (too many hours back then... too many more still to come)
There's also Evrae Altana in FFX but it requires 2 phoenix Downs to kill so I understand why it was not mentioned.

D2 carved a big chunk of my life. And even now I still kind of yearn to play it a bit. But I know that ironically enough, the enigma, and runewords in general, kind of homogenized the gameplay for me and kind of watered down the enjoyment. Maybe I'll check out that remake eventually. Cheers Eric!
