One of the most enjoyable complete performances available. Benjamin Wenzelberg is just wonderful and the other soloists perform well. The orchestra, as we would expect, is near perfect and the filming and sound recording are top notch.

Great performance! The last duet was so good. The male soprano was out of this world. Everyone did well. This particular oratorio is very difficult, having perfromed it with my choir back in the early 2000s. Great job! Enjoyed it.
One of the better versions on the Web. Professional-Grade orchestra and chorus ! Outstanding & memorable are the tenor soloists. A few of the soloists seem a bit weak in that all-important area of - VOICE PROJECTION. But,they are just students, after all. The counter-tenor is good, with great purity & clarity.
Brilliant! Loved the idea of using chorus members for the solos and recitatives rather than a fixed group of soloists. The other amazing thing about Ivy League students other than their perfect SAT scores, is that they have multiple intelligences. Many of the choir members can also play a musical instrument.
If you look at the full orchestral score, you will find at least eight soloists representing individuals in the story. It is normal to take minor characters from the chorus.
would like to know which edition has been used, particularly i have interest in the parts for timpans in Act 3, part 56 "see the conquering heros comes" since I could not find any trace of that in the original on IMSLP and not all recordings are consistent.
I was most interested to see this example of a Georgian church or chapel, as it bears resemblances to St Thomas' Church, Lymington, England; and also to Christ Church Warwick, Bermuda. Aside from that, this was the first time I'd heard the entire work. In places the pace is almost too much for the performers. Having been a member of the Bournemouth Symphony Chorus at one time I can only offer this humble remark. Otherwise it was a splendid performance of a work rarely heard.

Mon oeuvre favorite de Haendel

Words cannot describe the feeling after watching this tremendous oratorio. Especially the two Israelitish women "smiling with wavy corn." Excellent!
Benjamin Wenzelberg - BRAVO! Really enjoyed hearing you. So lovely.
wow this is astonished and mind blowing performance thanks a lot for sharing
PROFETIONAL BRAVO

True, same here.

Magnificent!
LOVED this, thank you for sharing it. The male soprano is brilliant! Who is he, please?

Enjoyed and well done my only critique the Intermission could have been edited out.
Fast forward like I did.

could it be time already to disable the comments?
Is she really singing at 46:00 to the right? 😃
exelente si me apoyas con la pista de con jubilo cantad
A 'safe' rather sterile performance, that for me completely fails to bring out the real character and drama of this piece.
