- Great and rare performance from Judas Priest at Reunion tour playing at Slavishow (Bulgarian TV) just the day before their great show in Sofia, Bulgaria!
Enjoy
How can 246 people dislike this ? Are they all insane ? This is a piece of art.
Except for 11.5 people in the "band"
Glad UA-cam took that option out..it hurt a lot of good people..not everyone likes everything but why give it a dislike .this is an incredibly wonderful performance.
They have got all vaccines 😂
Same way people like nickleback
Full Heavy metal version from Unleashed in the East kicks s++t out of every other version.
Love Rob's control and finesse during this performance; he really was in perfect concert with the tone, tempo, and volume of the rest of the band. His prowess is obvious, and he still sang it like he felt it, even though he's performed this song sooooooooo many times. Horns up! \m/\m/
He is the metal God.
He is the defender of the faith
As a vox, this is way easier for a vocalist! Rather than singing over amps and screaming crowds, he owned the sound here. LMAO, drums in a sound booth not pounding to the mics as concert. He's a great singer, fwriter, interpreter (covers of other ppl songs). He is a gem few and far between.
What is cool about Rob Halford is that you can't compare him to anyone or anyone to him, he is a one of one..
David Stadler Absolutely true. I've heard many say that Bruce Dickenson is so much better. Bruce has retained more of his range at this point in time. But Halford possesses a certain something that Bruce doesn't have. I've always preferred Rob.
God damn true Uniqueness is Rob
It's crazy to think no-one influenced any of the guys that started this type of music, It kind of evolved from thin air and personal experience.
This can't be compare to Rippers '98 Meltdown live version....
@@romademartini4693 Blues influenced. Opera influenced. Got heavier each and every album. In the 80's JP was influenced by the bands that were (in turn) influenced by them....hence the change in sound. And Glen Tipton was influenced by Paul Gilbert in the mid late 1980's. Not to mention Joan Baez who wrote this song.....and likely many others. Everyone was influenced by someone else in one way or another....whether they admit it or not.
Man I sitting at home under quarantine from the COVID-19 outbreak here in Northern California just randomly watch music clips.
I first heard this song in close to three decades ago and it still invokes such a powerful emotional response. I love Rob Halford and Judas Priest. Halford’s Vocals propel this from being “Oh an Acoustic Version” to this being “THE ACOUSTIC VERSION”.
Thanks to Joan Baez, Rob Halford and Judas Priest for brightening my world as I stumble on down the path that is my Chaos tainted journey through life.
This song definitely makes it on to the Soundtrack to my life.

Hang in there dude. This proves that good things are still out there
Well said 👏 👌 WOW-- Rob may not realize it, but I honestly believe that kind of talent is God-given, I'm just sayin' ✝️💯🤙✌💁♀️👊
Amazing!
:D
I cry metal tears every time I hear the acoustic version of this song …it touches my metal heart ❤️ and causes my eyes to rust 😢
The best heavy metal singer...make me chill...love halford's voice
I've never seen this video. I'm a diehard Priest fan. Thank you.
did u see this;: ua-cam.com/video/wTKg_X5IqrQ/v-deo.html this is the best performance of this song ever imho
That was performed in Bulgaria.
Rob's voice is undisputedly the best one in heavy metal history...
Yes Living, but past was Ronnie James Dio, in my honest opinion. :-)
Check out the song called "Stars" it has all Rob Halford and Dio and loads of other artists from back in the day. IMO Don Dokken had the best voice out of all but now he can't sing well because of throat cancer.
Stupido. Heavy metal? How about the best in any musical genre. Olissime is implying pop singers have better voices. lol
Tied with the late great RJD
Absolutely one of the best voices...!!!!
This is why Priest is great. They can pull this off and we still say WOW!
Excellent version - They should do Acoustic more often Rob Halford gets to show the "quality" of his voice, not just the power.
Glen & KK playing together is an Amazing wonder of the modern world. A Great Rendition.
Back in the 80s my mom used to hate my British Steel t-shirt. She said it looked painful. I wore it all the time.
Undiluted vocal range of a great performer
This is almost how Joan Baez originally sang it. But then Rob's voice comes in with that incredible Metal hint of rough ! Love my METAL GOD !
I respectfully disagree, insofar as Joan Baez sounded like a goat in agony when she sang this.
I like the Judas Priest version from 1974's RocaRola album. The voice of Rob.....aah ... it is something realy great.
@@nomo9344How to say that you don't shit about music not saying that u don't know shit about music. Joan sing in a perfect tone, she gets a thousand of tones while Judas prints it's like one tone
@@eduardoteixeira1152 I suppose you're correct, insofar as Joan may very well demonstrate "a thousand tones," all of which are slight variations of the aforementioned goat in agony. Lighten up, Francis.
Ive never heard Robs voice like this... Freakin awesome
и до ден днешен не мога да повярвам , че любимата ми група е изсвирила това велико парче в тази идиотска обстановка.
да.,не е истина.. 😊 и то в акустичният вариант, 😎
Glenn and KK's guitars were a Heavenly symphony. Glad we have them recorded forever.
that is not kk downing with glenn
+Norm. Panganiban Norm, there must be something wrong with your eyesight! lol Look closer, mate. That's K. K. for sure. Cheers!
Uhhhh. Yeah it is
Norm. Panganiban OF COURSE IT IS ;-; There isn't any other guy who sounds so wonderfull with Glenn. Only KK suits Glenn's style so amazing, though Richie is doing great.
he should had his shades on here
The Unleashed in the East version is still my favorite.
Mine too!! Crank it up!!
♦️ *Absolutely!* ♦️
" Our breath come out white clouds.....mingles and hangs in the air....
Speaking strictly for me, we both could have died then and there.. "
Joan Baez:
Great lyricist and singer, with a beautiful voice, simply amazing.
And:
It is simply amazing how Judas Priest give her song justice in their own style.
Всем любителям Judas Priest лайк, будте здоровы!!!
Андрей Мучинский так точно
One hell of a job,Robs voice is amazing excellent
Rob Halford. Good Lord. Who is better? What a voice. Thanks for posting!
Ripper Owen's the best of voice in Judas priest

And the first time I see him playing seated :-)
And the first time I hear him playing at all.

Helluva band, Judas Priest !Saw them in Toronto 2014 and they were awesome....One of the most influential Metal bands of alltime !
Wonderful rendition...great whether acoustic or electric.
Wow, Rob hit me right at the end, what a beautiful talented man. What a legendary band. Well done!!!
RBP!!!
For Mr. Glenn Tipton : ROCK NEVER DIE

Wow 🤩 the way he used he’s voice like that was absolutely brilliant 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🔊🔊🔊🎙🎙
Wow! Best version I have ever heard...even by Priest. Fantastic.

I wish they would put this version on a studio album.
It's on a DVD I believe. I can't remember which one.
@@keithfreeland7638 Rising in the east
Hell yes. That was amazing
They’re all awesome but damn it Rob is majestic!
Priest, I adore you. Since 1982 till today and forever.
What a fucking amazing voice MY GOD!
This accoustic Version is so great
Awesome acoustic version of this great song. Way to go Judas priest.
Really, I love them so much!! I can't imagine that I will ever love someone/something so deep like Priests.
They look so metal here. xD All in black in that colorfull lights everywhere.
Jaizz J. Z. Priest for Life. simply unique. the best.!!
I feel exactly the same. I feel the purest love when I watch and listen to them.
Wow! What a great performance as Rob's vocals are amazing and the acoustic guitars from K.K. and Glenn. Saw Priest play this song on the British Steel Tour '80 in Phoenix and it was so fucking mind blowing as the concert was a $5 summer concert special.....best five bucks I ever spent! \m/
have you heard of loudness? Japanese 80s band....crazy nights....heavy chains badass
Very nice! Halford sang this really well. He still had powerful voice here. And very heartfelt.
awesome cover of the 1975 Joan Baez acoustic hit. Even Joan was shocked and flattered that Rob Halford covered her song about her early 60's relationship with Bob Dylan. Judas Priest takes this very personal song up another level and proves a great song is forever, no matter who performs it.
pretty sure that's a Carol king cover?
Nope. She wrote this one
@@jeffrodavidson2095 Joan Baez wrote the song

Так поют Боги
Judas priest hands down the greatest band of all !!!
Damn this version just pwnd me. Rob ur'e truly one of the top.
Am I the only one having a problem with acoustic metal? Do you see? The words don’t even fit together… LOL
Mike Hawkins agreed
Every time I here that it’s still amazing, so much control in he’s voice 🤠👍🏼🎤
Rob's performance is orsum! Beautiful song!
Awesome?
Yazerhoun
YES! Orsum = Awesome LOL Cheers, Jerry
+jerryonspeed Ok, that's what I thought but I wasn't sure ^^
Браво! Стршно парче, невероятна група! Amazing, nice!!!
Genio el Dios del Metal por siempre Rob Halford!!!!
Wow !!!! That voice . So glad I found this song. I KNEW ROB COULD SING BUT WOW. that's a different level of great. Such control.
Rob Halford is an amazing vocalist and performer
Stunning!
Why in the hell are these guys not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame yet
Aint nobody on this here Earth can sing...Out and out Sing like this man. ya
That is absurd. Andrea Bocelli he most definitely is not!
I beg to differ. Ronnie James Dio was the voice metal.
Wow! Powerful and beautiful! Love the greatest metal band of the modern era!
Esta versión es muy buena y te hace pensar en el momento mientras la canta
2 years earlier Rob played (I think) at the same show - Breaking The Law - with his solo band
I love his voice!
Perfection!
Wunderbares Lied, voller Seele und Tiefe. Danke Joan Baez und Judas Priest!
Long live the metal god
I saw them at a festival in Holland about 15 years ago and didnt know what to expect but was completely blown away at how amazing they were.
A whole team of artists! Still watching this in 2023..
Great to see them do a gig like this.Shows that there not to big in there heads for something like this.Never seen this Thanks.
Great Performance.
Was not expecting him to hit those high notes like he used to (especially in this “toned down, acoustic version). Wow!
Genius coversong, genius band!!! 🎸🤘🏻👍🏼✊🏻⚡🔥😍
Their concert on the 18.06.2004 in Sofia was really great! Unforgettable! I was there-and I am grateful for that...And the fans were great too! Bulgarian metal fans are unique!
Interesting to hear Rob singing relatively close to his speaking voice :)
If you’re here now 11/30/2019 ...Go Rock You’re Vote for JP 🤘🏻 Nominated Again ...Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 🤘🏻👊🏻
Joan Baez 😍🎸🎸🎸😍
The acoustic metal god!! Love his voice!!!
Por dios como puede alguien cantar tan perfecto. Aguante Halford y el heavy metal
Voice of an angel.
Buena versión, pero, para mí, la versión original de su autora es insuperable, sobre todo que en ella Joan Báez relata su propia y triste historia con Bob Dylan y en esa interpretación se trasunta el dolor vivido
awesome performance... loving it
I think i like Rob more every year he blesses us with his incredibe voice.
Что такое музыка без джудас???начало эпохи.начало .исток.
This is a great video you can tell how great of a singer rob is because the way he sings in a normal concert setting and to do this it’s just great
Halford,mercury,Staley,Cornell in that order
amazing!!!!!!
I remember when I was a child, I used to listen Joan Báez, and that song is so special. Judas and Joan should perform an unpluged video together, I am their fan, Joan and Judas. Great musicians.
Greetings from Mexico.
I would love to see a collab between joan baez and rob halford! I am a fan of both.
My mom loved Joan Baez and I love JP
both are fantastic ❤🤟🎵
wow why the fuck isnt this everywhere ! amazing !!!
OMG this was as awesome as I knew it would be!
Like Dio there’s no octave, or range he can’t touch. His registry is amazing. Great all time voice!
Wow.....just wow.
Great voice!
Back then when the performance on TV were not done using play back

Excelente
"Joan priest " \m/
she wrote the song about her old lover Bob Dylan
Good one
I don't like the idea of using an electric bass guitar instead of an acoustic bass guitar
Incredible. So glad they were inducted to RRHOF and able to play together. Only one Rob Halford and one Judas Priest. Never to be replicated. Glad I was around to appreciate them
Oh my god that's amazing love judas priest
This song would always be so much better if the didn't leave out the best verses!
