Glad UA-cam took that option out..it hurt a lot of good people..not everyone likes everything but why give it a dislike .this is an incredibly wonderful performance.
David Stadler Absolutely true. I've heard many say that Bruce Dickenson is so much better. Bruce has retained more of his range at this point in time. But Halford possesses a certain something that Bruce doesn't have. I've always preferred Rob.

Check out the song called "Stars" it has all Rob Halford and Dio and loads of other artists from back in the day. IMO Don Dokken had the best voice out of all but now he can't sing well because of throat cancer.
Love Rob's control and finesse during this performance; he really was in perfect concert with the tone, tempo, and volume of the rest of the band. His prowess is obvious, and he still sang it like he felt it, even though he's performed this song sooooooooo many times. Horns up! \m/\m/
As a vox, this is way easier for a vocalist! Rather than singing over amps and screaming crowds, he owned the sound here. LMAO, drums in a sound booth not pounding to the mics as concert. He's a great singer, fwriter, interpreter (covers of other ppl songs). He is a gem few and far between.
Man I sitting at home under quarantine from the COVID-19 outbreak here in Northern California just randomly watch music clips. I first heard this song in close to three decades ago and it still invokes such a powerful emotional response. I love Rob Halford and Judas Priest. Halford’s Vocals propel this from being “Oh an Acoustic Version” to this being “THE ACOUSTIC VERSION”. Thanks to Joan Baez, Rob Halford and Judas Priest for brightening my world as I stumble on down the path that is my Chaos tainted journey through life. This song definitely makes it on to the Soundtrack to my life. -SlangByt
Norm. Panganiban OF COURSE IT IS ;-; There isn't any other guy who sounds so wonderfull with Glenn. Only KK suits Glenn's style so amazing, though Richie is doing great.
Incredible. So glad they were inducted to RRHOF and able to play together. Only one Rob Halford and one Judas Priest. Never to be replicated. Glad I was around to appreciate them
@@nomo9344How to say that you don't shit about music not saying that u don't know shit about music. Joan sing in a perfect tone, she gets a thousand of tones while Judas prints it's like one tone
@@eduardoteixeira1152 I suppose you're correct, insofar as Joan may very well demonstrate "a thousand tones," all of which are slight variations of the aforementioned goat in agony. Lighten up, Francis.
Their concert on the 18.06.2004 in Sofia was really great! Unforgettable! I was there-and I am grateful for that...And the fans were great too! Bulgarian metal fans are unique!
Joan Baez: Great lyricist and singer, with a beautiful voice, simply amazing. And: It is simply amazing how Judas Priest give her song justice in their own style.
Wow! What a great performance as Rob's vocals are amazing and the acoustic guitars from K.K. and Glenn. Saw Priest play this song on the British Steel Tour '80 in Phoenix and it was so fucking mind blowing as the concert was a $5 summer concert special.....best five bucks I ever spent! \m/
Friggin outstanding 👍 just Outstanding.Im not ashamed to say that this brought a year to my eye.this is one of the best versions I've heard them do. FUEL FOR LIFE.PRIEST FOREVER 👍🤘☠️
Thank God I had the pleasure of seeing the priest 5 times remember when they openedvup for AC DC in McAllen tx good times great memories long live rock and roll 4 ever
Fantastic. I am 50 years now and I grow up with Judas Priest and all of the other hard rock/Heavy Metal bands out there. My taste of music today is so much more wider than before but STILL.... many of these songs go deep deep in my soul. They are a part of me I think.
Really, I love them so much!! I can't imagine that I will ever love someone/something so deep like Priests. They look so metal here. xD All in black in that colorfull lights everywhere.

been searching for an e tuning acoustic version of this to jam with... and I was in older videos and Halford always sung it half a step down an Owens a full step down... then i find this and... I am absolutely amazed by this man's performance... such a god of singing Halford is
It's PACKED full of character! You can definitely hear the emotional buildup quite clearly as he pours his sinewy, almost malevolent tone into the second verse onwards.
How can 246 people dislike this ? Are they all insane ? This is a piece of art.
Except for 11.5 people in the "band"
Glad UA-cam took that option out..it hurt a lot of good people..not everyone likes everything but why give it a dislike .this is an incredibly wonderful performance.
They have got all vaccines 😂
Same way people like nickleback
Full Heavy metal version from Unleashed in the East kicks s++t out of every other version.
What is cool about Rob Halford is that you can't compare him to anyone or anyone to him, he is a one of one..
David Stadler Absolutely true. I've heard many say that Bruce Dickenson is so much better. Bruce has retained more of his range at this point in time. But Halford possesses a certain something that Bruce doesn't have. I've always preferred Rob.
God damn true Uniqueness is Rob
It's crazy to think no-one influenced any of the guys that started this type of music, It kind of evolved from thin air and personal experience.
This can't be compare to Rippers '98 Meltdown live version....

I cry metal tears every time I hear the acoustic version of this song …it touches my metal heart ❤️ and causes my eyes to rust 😢
Rob's voice is undisputedly the best one in heavy metal history...
Yes Living, but past was Ronnie James Dio, in my honest opinion. :-)

Stupido. Heavy metal? How about the best in any musical genre. Olissime is implying pop singers have better voices. lol

Well said 👏 👌 WOW-- Rob may not realize it, but I honestly believe that kind of talent is God-given, I'm just sayin' ✝️💯🤙✌💁♀️👊
This is why Priest is great. They can pull this off and we still say WOW!
Glen & KK playing together is an Amazing wonder of the modern world. A Great Rendition.

Awesome acoustic version of this great song. Way to go Judas priest.
Wow !!!! That voice . So glad I found this song. I KNEW ROB COULD SING BUT WOW. that's a different level of great. Such control.
Judas priest hands down the greatest band of all !!!
Excellent version - They should do Acoustic more often Rob Halford gets to show the "quality" of his voice, not just the power.
Back in the 80s my mom used to hate my British Steel t-shirt. She said it looked painful. I wore it all the time.
I saw them at a festival in Holland about 15 years ago and didnt know what to expect but was completely blown away at how amazing they were.

Wow, Rob hit me right at the end, what a beautiful talented man. What a legendary band. Well done!!!
RBP!!!
Every time I here that it’s still amazing, so much control in he’s voice 🤠👍🏼🎤
This is almost how Joan Baez originally sang it. But then Rob's voice comes in with that incredible Metal hint of rough ! Love my METAL GOD !
I respectfully disagree, insofar as Joan Baez sounded like a goat in agony when she sang this.
I like the Judas Priest version from 1974's RocaRola album. The voice of Rob.....aah ... it is something realy great.

This is a great video you can tell how great of a singer rob is because the way he sings in a normal concert setting and to do this it’s just great
The Unleashed in the East version is still my favorite.
Mine too!! Crank it up!!

Was not expecting him to hit those high notes like he used to (especially in this “toned down, acoustic version). Wow!
