- On December 17, 2022 the Knoxville and Holston River Railroad provided 11 miles of trackage for an incredible steam train excursion, called the Three Rivers Rambler. It starts in Knoxville, Tennessee and ends at Marbledale, where there’s a marble quarry that provides the railroad’s main freight customer. The star of the show is Southern Railway No. 154, a G-class 2-8-0 built by the Schenectady locomotive Works in 1890. On this last weekend of 2022 operation she wore a 6 inch Lonergan 3 chime whistle, which was a surprise when expecting her NYC 5 chime on.
This videos clips are not in chronological order but are put together with 2 trips of chase footage.
Awesome video! I loved the pacing. And that is definitely one unique whistle for 154
Yeah definitely! Thx!!
Hey the locomotive that is filling for the 154 is Washington and Lincolnton 203
I got to see her with Casey’s NYC 5 chime
Same! I wanted the 5 chime and was a bit disappointed tbh but the Lonergan wasn’t bad at all I think 😂
@@railfanningwithtydan I like em both wish I could’ve heard the 5 chime tho
Awesome man thx for the help with my chase editing rn
Thanks! Yw
When is 154 due for her next 1472?? And what’s the update w shay 1923 and 4-4-0 60??
I'm not sure to be honest my knowledge on the 3RR and related things isn't very big but I'm sure it's taken so long for 154 because they don't run her that often at all just in December
