If you're winnings are that consistent then you'd make a killing coaching. Mark Goone over at HungryHorsepoker claims to be a crusher going from 1-2 to 200-400 no-limit in a 5 year span and offers coaching for a wooping 4k for a 28 day course! He also started a new vlog series where he"s "going back to his roots" and trying to prove his strategies actually work, his first video was him playing 5-5 at hustler's aiming for a $100 an hour profit which he barely got too. You're vlogs have consistently shown upwards of like $400 per hour! I'd pay a steep price to get some coaching from you considering the other price being 4k.
This is a new venture for me, the whole vlog thing and now coaching. I am admittedly offering much cheaper rates with the coaching, especially since his 4k package is likely for a group session where I imagine with the amount of people they get, folks aren't going to be able to ask questions or interact as personably as 1 on 1 coaching. That being said, we have very different playstyles and approaches to coaching. There are many different ways to be proffitable at poker. Right now I'm more interested in the vlog aspect as it was never my original intent to find coaching students. 😅 But hey! Who knows! If that's what people want, I'll try to accommodate. If you factor in losses and sessions where I'm barely break even, my hourly over the past 5 months is closer to maybe 150+? 😅 Admittedly, the Wynn's buy-in of 1500 is a bigger game than Hustler's 1k buy-in, but then again the action in L.A. is WAY more insane than Las Vegas. I play deepstacked 1/2 in texas and I find it difficult to find bluffs at this stake. The pots are insanely multi-way regardless if it's three bet or not. Cold calling three bets is highly common in texas. So, my strategy is just to maximize my value hands and learn to bet thinly for value. Do you think I'm still leaving $$$ on the table by not finding bluffs even if multi way? Thanks and keep up the good work!
I can't speak for Texas strategy. I've never played there. But from what I've seen on TV, I think a solid ABC strategy is better employed. People don't fold anything. Bet much larger to get more value out of your made hands. Overshove when you make your draw. It's like rock, paper, scissors. Since everyone in texas is playing scissors, be the rock.
Your bluffs have to be much larger imo. No 80% pot bluffs. Make it 200% unless you're just trying to fold overcards and 3rd or 4th pair to your unpaired 76s.
Hey Gary! 👋 I just can't believe the guy basically made the exact same play two hands in a row in like 5 mins. Bet huge in position with the ol' no pair-no draw lol.
The following are just my thoughts as I watch. I do NOT claim to have all the answers. ATo: Why waste 20 donking into an uncapped range that has all the AJ+ and only folds hands that have nearly zero equity? 98s: This is the way I would handle weak players, not tight players. Weak players are always afraid they're beaten. Tight players usually just call under a pot sized bet with their overpairs. I would have called that 80% pot bet in a heartbeat. Make it 150 - 200% and I'll be in a blender. 33: I would have made this one larger too. As villain I would have called 245 with my overpairs to win 595 when you can have 98, pair+draw, and draws. 75s: Against a shortstack, can't win and can't force him to fold. I'd just fold. I love your choice of bluff spots, except maybe the 75 (only because of stack size).

@sonnyskustoms I play about 4-5 days a week for 3-4 hour sessions, but I'm also a family man with obligations like cooking, taking care of pets, etc. How often and how long you play for depends on your own obligations, whether or not you are playing full time or as a hobby, whether you have a girlfriend or any other financial obligation, and how long you can mentally stay focused for. hey aero was wondering if you had any advice for someone wanting to get into their first low stakes poker game at 18 since theirs a couple of indian reserve casinos that let 18+ to play poker. good luck with your future vlogs and games!
Watch lots and lots of vlogs! Avoid the vlogs that play high stakes. You won't learn anything. The strategy for low stakes, mid stakes, high stakes, 100 big blinds, and deep stack play are ALL different. Play home games with your friends for ultra low stakes like $20 buy ins to learn the ropes. Most 18 year olds don't make enough money to be able to afford to play poker at a casino reliably. Learn all the odds for the various types of draws. Takes a statistics class in highschool or community college! Take a psychology class while you're at it. :)
hey aero, were you playing a 1/3 table before moving to 2/5 on sun 8/4? I heard someone at my table with a similar voice as you and looked to be a similar playstyle.
Nope! Wasn't me. You'd recognize me. I wear an Aero hat, shirt, and wristbands with AeroPlaysPoker on them :D I did sit at the 1-3 for a few minutes on the 6th while waiting for a 2-5 seat to open up though.
I want to move up in stakes, but I’m not sure how much bankroll I would need for 2-5. I am up $19k YTD in 1/2 and 1/3 games but with significant hours. At what point should I shot take bigger games/ what is the suggested bankroll in terms of BBs?
It depends how deep you've been buying in for your 1-2 and 1-3 games. The buy in for the Wynn's 1-3 is up to 500, so it plays like a 2-5 with a 100 big blind structure. I don't know where you play or the buy in structures, but if we're talking small town with 100 big blinds, your bank roll should be fine to attempt 2-5. If you're in Vegas, that's the equivalent of playing at the Bellagio. Don't step up to the Aria until you're more comfortable with playing at the 200 BB structure. Then of course the Wynn has the deepest buy in at 300 BB's. It plays more like a 5-10 if you're used to 100 BB buy ins. How much you need depends on your win rate. If you consistently win month after month, my suggestion is 20 buy ins should be fine.
The Wynn has the deepest 2-5 in Vegas, the best poker management, and a very spacious, well lit room. It's also off the main strip, so very easy to get to without traffic to deal with. Parking is also free. The Orleans has an incredibly soft 1-3, but they have a painful extra $2 jackpot rake. The Wynn's 1-3 plays more like a 2-5 since it has a $500 buy in. My acolyte Josh has been having incredible success at Resorts World. I would not recommend South Point unless you have deep pockets. Variance will be higher there. $600 buy in is extremely deep for a 1-3.
@AeroPlaysPoker if it comes easy that day just take it and dip. Who gives a shit what anyone else thinks. The idea of poker is to win money off other people, not win money and then give it back 😂
New sub here. May I ask why you are not moving up to 5-10 or higher? You've been a pro 16yrs+, so I assume you tried out higher stakes and found 2-5 is where you can make the most money?
I've played various stakes between Las Vegas and California. 10-25 at the Matrix in San Jose, 10-20 at Commerce Casino in Los Angeles, 10-25 at Ocean's 11 in San Diego ... That was all as a single bachelor though. I'm a family man now with 2 kids. A little consistentcy can be nice some times. :) I may climb back up within the next year though if that's what the viewers want to see.
@@AeroPlaysPoker Thank you for your reply! Yes, I'd like to see you playing in higher stakes in future, but for now 2-5 vlogs are very educational for me as I usually play 2-5 and 5-5. BTW, great editing with humor😀
I think most people actually play 1-3 or 2-5. There are WAY more of those tables at a casino than there are bigger stakes tables. I think for now, I'll cater to a bigger fan base at this stake and climb up within a year or so.
@@AeroPlaysPokerWait! Instead of waiting for a year why don't you just throw in one random and unexpected 10/20 vlog to surprise us higher stakes viewers 😊
@@mattpitstick6884 there was a live 10, so a $30 raise was only 3X. There were already 3 callers before the action got to me. Plus, um .. it was a natural 8...!
@@kylinwx Skip 90% of the bluffs that I do. :D The ones I showcase only work when opponents are deep. In a 100 BB scenario, play the better range of hands and use pot odds and implied odds to decide whether you should call when you're behind. Bet heavilly to deny equity when you're ahead.
You can follow my disciple on his new poker vlog @MagikarpPoker He plays 1-3 at Resorts World with a $400 capped buy in. He's won 16 out of the last 18 sessions since he started coaching under me. :) He should have his sessions up soon. Other than that, all of the principles I teach on my videos (except the massive bluffs) apply to 100BB structure if you take into account implied odds.
I haven't played limit poker since I first learned how to play poker... 😅 so I can't speak for how proffitable it is. Not sure how many pros play limit poker... I suggest a healhy 20-30 buy ins for whatever no limit stakes you play in depending on your personal win rate
@@jasonsitu5287 limit and no limit are played differently, in limit you basically play ABC poker there’s not much room for fancy plays. Just stick to the basics play solid poker in no limit there’s a lot more room for shenanigans.
I mean, you are the pro, but the 5s7s hand seems unnecessary given the player is tilting AND short stacked. Not a good candidate to bluff by most standards. Big contrast to getting the tight player to fold a big pair, which was an impressive play, btw.
Many reasons. :D This question is also asked quite often. But mainly it's to avoid the OMC morning crew that are the absolute worst to play with. Try squeezing juice from a rock 🥌🪨 ;P Also, I take damage in direct sunlight, so... 🦇 ⚰️
Holy crap that rake is atrocious!!! I'm not sure how much you can profit on a rake that high... Here at the Wynn in Vegas, the cap is $5 for the 1-3 and 2-5. The timed games are even cheaper.
Sorry my mistake the rake is actually capped at £10 not £20 - and this is at all stakes. I started to play poker in the early 2000s then stopped for about 15 years as my son was born then decided to get back into it again as I have time back to myself… boy has the game changed! Solvers and what not, lots of courses like run it once and many others too… I kinda feel like a small “fish” in a huge ocean - pardon the pun!
The advantage I have over most vloggers is that they're usually vlogging their journey. I'm already an established pro and have been for a long time. 😅 The only new journey for me is the vlogging process!
Lol n u kno that saying what goes up... No one sustains 50BB/hr in live 2/5 over any decent size. Not a single soul on earth. Unless your game is run inside a kindergarten.
Well lets see, at your current rate you're on track to make $200,000 playing nearly the lowest stake in vegas part-time. So is this likely to happen? I'd say thats a no.
50k over 4 months would only be 150k in a year. 😅 Although admittedly the 2-5 at the Wynn with a 1500 buy in is closer to a 5-10 at most other casonos. I'm not sure how realistic this progress is to replicate consistently, but let's see how long it can last for!
@@AeroPlaysPoker come to think of it I know 1 player in my local room who made 40k over 2 months at 2/5 with an 800 cap, and another who made about 115k over the year at 2/5 with a 1k cap. So I think 150k might be doable once if everything goes well.

Could I ask why you play at the Wynn? And where do you think is the softest 1/3 game in Vegas?
Love it working smarter not harder. Is there reason you always play so late? I take the games are better at that time?
Games are better, retirement crew is safely tucked in bed, drunks are out prowling, and my own family is asleep as well. 😁
Nice!

While I personally agree with you, I don't want to step on any toes, especially now that I've become a small public figure 😅
@AeroPlaysPoker if it comes easy that day just take it and dip. Who gives a shit what anyone else thinks. The idea of poker is to win money off other people, not win money and then give it back 😂
I used to feel bad and wait, just to get busted in the next ten minutes. If it is not a home game, I'm racking up and taking my profit
hey man, how are you ? how many hours do you play poker a week at vegas.. so many questions bro. gl.
I typically play 4-5 days a week, anywhere between 15-20 hours. I find that I have the most focus playing 3-4 hour sessions.
@@ambientexpanse I may just do that! 👍
Very nice.
Thank you! :D
First hand was kinda torching money IMO. Also fold pre with 75s. Good vlog overall though!
@@mattpitstick6884 there was a live 10, so a $30 raise was only 3X. There were already 3 callers before the action got to me. Plus, um .. it was a natural 8...!
what will you do differently with 100BB? I don't have 300BB games near me.
@@AeroPlaysPoker can yo make some 100BB videos in the future? Not a lot of places have 300BB games.
Thanks
You can follow my disciple on his new poker vlog @MagikarpPoker He plays 1-3 at Resorts World with a $400 capped buy in. He's won 16 out of the last 18 sessions since he started coaching under me. :) He should have his sessions up soon.
Other than that, all of the principles I teach on my videos (except the massive bluffs) apply to 100BB structure if you take into account implied odds.
Hi I want to ask you which format is better limit poker vs no limit? And what is your bankroll for no limit?
I haven't played limit poker since I first learned how to play poker... 😅 so I can't speak for how proffitable it is. Not sure how many pros play limit poker... I suggest a healhy 20-30 buy ins for whatever no limit stakes you play in depending on your personal win rate
Thanks so much for your reply, I am going to stick with no limit more often than limit and with 30 buy ins
Which is why I show when I play a hand properly, AND improperly so people can see what to do as well as what not to do :D
Playing from 12am to 5am is crazy lol
My preferred hours! 🦇
Stay on the 2/5 tables I don’t want you taking my chips I play 1/3 at Wynn

Lol as you tell him exactly where he can find you lmfao
I noticed you play all your games after hours, usually 12-2am. Any particular reason?
Many reasons. :D This question is also asked quite often. But mainly it's to avoid the OMC morning crew that are the absolute worst to play with. Try squeezing juice from a rock 🥌🪨 ;P Also, I take damage in direct sunlight, so... 🦇 ⚰️
The drunks are definitely still alive and well ;D
Smashed it bro! I’m in the uk trying to do the same but it’s not happening just yet…
What stakes do you play? What's the rake structure there?
Currently playing £1/3 and the rake is 10% capped at £20. Lately been losing so think I’m gonna have to drop to £1/2 to rebuild the bankroll - wdyt?
I woulda tried a bluff with that missed flush as well 😂
