The Ride to Model Year 2015 starts today. We’ll be counting down moments from this past year as we make our way to our next model year. This ride started last year with the launch of the 2014 Indian Chief Family at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Watch the full reveal here.
Some people like the vintage look. And just because it looks classy doesn't mean that it's without technology. Indians have more standard equipment on them than HD's, they look better, are more powerful, and will undoubtedly turn more heads than a Harley.
I agree, but give it time! The Scout should probably be the next bike planned. It took about two years to get this Chief to market; which was probably the best product to relaunch this brand with. Getting the Scout to market may take roughly the same amount of time.
Kind of a sad day. The new Indians for the 2021 model year are out. Seems like the chief is not in the line-up any longer. Indian Chief 2014-2020. RIP.
Can't wait for these beautiful american made beasts to roll into the local showroom. I have been looking for a good cruiser that will force my hand in making a decision and I think these new Indians might have what it takes!
Now that Polaris has its antique looking modern bike to compete with H-D, maybe they can get that 106 inch Victory motor into an adventure tourer frame and pick up wear Buell left off with the Ulysses.
This is a very outdated comment and is not what ended up happening. Polaris actually expanded jobs to the Osceola plant after their business started to improve in 2011. See articles in Start Tribune and Motorcycle-USA
My 111 is VERY Noisy and falls on its face over 4,500 RPMs. The fly by wire throttle feels sloppy and disconnected from the motor. Polaris needs to try to meet the needs of its customers when help is requested. They should not tell dealers that they cannot investigate engine issues. I am very disappointed with this company right now.
I have no complaints about the suspension at this time. Steering is a little slower than I am used to, but the bike really handles and rides quite well. I have hit hard in the rear a couple of times, but I have not had the time to look at preload and any other adjustments I may have access to. I am really upset about the motor noise, the torque range stopping in the mid 4000 rpm range and the sloppiness and deadness of the fly by wire throttle.
good question ..why who cares ..they talk about past racing and how great it was , redo the murio spl. but turn out big fat dogs ...where is the power bike .??..small light fast handling...model .
ya but where's the striped sport model , striped ,light, handle , faster ..if the motor is so good ???... 3 more want to be hogs ..indian was all about performance ... not the amount of crap hanging off it ..if they push their past as a reason to buy one ..then well where is it,...just one ,
First off, what kind of clown selects 'thumbs down'. Second, trumpet player was dead on. One of the best rendentions I've ever heard! Third, the bikes look great. Wish it could have been me to bring the iconic company back. Never understood why Harley never bought the company to restore it. Was kinda of skeptical because if I am not mistaken the Polarsis and Surgical Steed deal didn't work out. Again could be mistaken, been some time ago. But looks like Polarsis did a great job! Keeper!
Thank You Polaris for bringing back the Indian Motorcycle, an American icon.

Agree with Scott - looks better than ANY bike in the world!
Best of luck with your new launch of the New Indians.....I saw your products in Sturgis, this past week, and I was extremely impressed!

As much as I love HDs... I wish Indian all the success in the world.
Rode one at Sturgis on Sunday and it is soooooo smooth! Love it and hope they can keep them on the dealer floors long enough so I can buy one!
I saw the new engine at the Laughlin River Ride - nice design. I would love to buy an Indian Chief, but gotta win the lottery first!
anthems like this bring tears and shivers, and im 17!

It seems to be a quality bike with great styling, great features built in America that's available for a (somewhat) reasonable price.
Classic looks spot on. I wish them all the best.
I feel so proud!

Congrats to Polaris and Indian.. Nicely done!!
Best rendition of the National Anthem EVER!!!

I have a feeling that this COULD rival the introductions of the first Ford Mustang or the 1955 Chevy. Polaris MIGHT want to be prepared.
Got nice riding four wheeler and motorcycle Love them

the world need another indian scout
I really hope they are successful.

"Are you ready to be a a part of motorcycle hist( insert goose here)ory?"
The bike looks great... if it was 1935!!!
This is motorcycle porn. I can't get enough.
I'm in love
why?
Some PR consultant needs to tell the VP that you shouldn't appear and speak on camera while chewing gum!
no doubt
hope they can keep dealers till you buy one
Epic
Road king classic
Sold us out Polaris! Victory should have been your priority not trying to redo the Indians, shame on you
I see Mike Wolf sold out. The bikes are nice but really why is he endorsing?

from the gloss over reviews some say the suspension is pretty bad.
ill be saving for the Harley German engine V-Rod Muscle.
