It hits privately owned FHL, but won’t impact SPV held. However, big issue coming is Gove’s announcement that local authorities can insist that planning change of use from C3 will be required for holiday/short term let’s. Much bigger issue than tax changes and most landlords totally unaware what’s coming.
Nothing contradicting here, they don’t work for Samuel but they choose to give back to the man who helped them get where they are now. Can i ask what the stamp duty was? I imagine 3% of £178,000 as I believe they state they own another property. Therefore additional property stamp duty unless you sell your other residential property within 3 years swapping it to this one. Im keen to know if someone could advise please. Ways round S24 and the additional stamp duty payment have been promised by many but in most cases ( aware there are some exemptions) HMRC disagree and you pay ! I'm looking at investing in more properties but the 3% stamp duty is painful.

Without even watching I can tell everyone the best property strategy. That’s to sell up and leave the U.K. before government debt triggers an economic meltdown and your property falls in value by 95%.

What lender did the go with for their initial mortgage and which mender did tbey go with to switch to the FHL mortgage?
Do you have to turn into a holiday home or is there a way to convert it into a normal buy to let ?
Does anyone know which lender / mortgage is used for this strategy please ? Many thanks.

Isn't the Government looking at stopping Interest Relief for Holiday lets?
Yes
Good.
The furnished holiday let regime is going to be abolished according to the latest budget
Not abolished but more restricting for new people to join. They can’t abolish a international industry but can restrict it
Not quite the tax treatment shall revert and FHL’s shall receive the same tax treatment as normal rental properties

I dont understand this video is so contradicting. And also guys these couple work for his company Samuel Leeds Ltd. So can't tell how real it is.

In the budget Jeremy Hunt overturned this rule - you cannot no longer claim mortgage interest as an expense on holiday homes
Did you have to.pay stamp duty again when changing the mortgage?
No
This seems like a short term plan? Surely when the FHL legisation is finalised the profit margins are going to be massively reduced?
Are you also taking Wegovy or similar slimming drug ?
Pretty sure it was headline news that the Chancellor is abolishing the tax advantages for furnished holiday lettings?
Sound people, congrats guys
2:08, You bought a house worth £250,000 by only putting in £47,800 excluding stamp duty and solicitor costs*
Not possible. Lies
How can you brought a property for quarter million 250,000.00 for 17,000.00
Lies
@@ControversialTopics That is only the deposit, don't forget stamp duty (albeit reduced), and all the legal fees, plus they have a mortgage on it.
The property was worth £178,000 when they bought it using a 10% deposit which £17,800.
The Headline is misleading
Great interview 🤩

Are you going to make a course on this ?
You need a course on how to buy a house with a residential mortgage?
you can see the house number on 8:31.
I thought the rule was they have to live in the property for 2 years before they could do a refinance?
yer i give up with these videos, each one contradicts the previous one.
It’s usually 6 months but it depends on lender
So you can see that they are lying
The Headline is misleading I meant
