If it has never been deep cleaned before... you are going to have to scrub the hell out of that barrel. But it looks like you did a pretty good job with what you had to work with.
I think its similar to JB Bore Paste as far as I know. Its just an abrasive cleaner. But it does do well. Better than JB, I dont know. Bolt Action Reloading made me want to try it 🤣 Thanks, Jeff
Lol. Do it, Cranky! They'll probably shoot worse now with my luck 🤣 Thanks. I scoped my 300BLK and didn't even clean it because it looked good as it was.
When I first saw the pics you were getting during the live chat I was really impressed with the boroscope but man those tooling marks would drive me crazy, gotta overlook it if it shoots well though. I use Preachers method, paper & light, haha. Even then if I spot something bad with the barrel there's really nothing I can do about it since a new barrel on a rifle is never in the budget.
Ive never heard of the paper and light before last night. Lol. Yeah, a new barrel for me really isn't either. Especially with everything else being so high! I'm happy with the borescope. I had some Amazon rewards points to use up so I got it. Thanks, Mike 👍
Clean is good. I have a Compass 223 as well. It’s a decent shooter. If I do my part, it will do 1 MOA. Haven’t gotten better than that, but that’s good enough for me. I think it’s a good buy at the price point. 🤛🏻🔫🇺🇸
Nice! Mine is by far my most accurate rifle. With fire formed brass and a 50 grain Vmax, using Ramshot X-terminator powder, I got 0.3 MOA at 200 yards. I highly recommend that bullet and powder combo for these rifles.
The "tool chatter" is not chatter. That is the feed rate of the drill that was used to drill it. The company did not ream or lap the bore before it was button rifled.
@@timothym2241 the rifling in this barrel are not cut. look up button rifling. It presses the rifling into the barrel. As this happens it can smooth out reamer marks
Hi tinman how are you looks nice and clean Smith and Wesson needs to step up their game that barrel is bad I’m glad I converted mine to a different caliber what camera are you using thanks for sharing
Hey, Julio!!! You know, im okay with the barrel looking like that because it has given me the best groups I've ever shot 🤣 But aesthetically, its kind of ugly.
I bet if you had ran a bore scope it in when you bought the rifle it would have looked worse. Your firing it has lapped some of it out. It shoots so don't worry about it.
Afternoon man! Scope works good!
Hey, CW! I'm impressed with it. Plugs right into the laptop and I can record on that. Teslong solid rifle bore scope for those who are interested.
Looks super clean TinMan
Thanks, Brokeloader 👍

Yeah, the brush didn't want to go down at all the first cleaning. Haha. Scrubbing was real fun! Thanks, Les 👍
The barrel looks like tap die. 🙀
Hahaha. Threading the bullets as they go down!
That stuff works pretty good

I’m afraid to look down my barrels a…sure my 300 BLK must be horrible. You did good job on cleaning. But does shoot any better?
Lol. Do it, Cranky! They'll probably shoot worse now with my luck 🤣 Thanks. I scoped my 300BLK and didn't even clean it because it looked good as it was.
Just let the copper fill in the tooling and your good😉. If it shoots well, it shoots well. That cleaner looks like it works pretty well.
Yep, thats the plan. It'll get plugged up with something eventually and shoot good again 🤣 Thanks, Oddball!
The deep cleans can be a pain .
Yeah man. Didn't think it would be a 4-5 time ordeal. Lol
@@TinManReloading You're lucky , I've got used rifles that were an hour or more for a good clean .

Are you for hire to clean condos? No wait.. I just saw your loading bench.
I'm not a good housekeeper, am I? Lmao! 🤣

Thats good to know. I was wondering what was going on with that. Makes total sense.
If that’s the drill, why is it still visible in the grooves? The grooves were only cut after it was drilled.

Borescopes are entertaining! 🙂
Just add it to my OCD regimen 😁

I was wondering about what it looked like new. I'm sure it wasn't great. Yep, it shoots better than me so I'm good with it! Thanks, SST 👍
You missed a spot.......
Where?! SHOW ME! 🤣
