My good Sir, I've been watching your videos for years, and have thourouly enjoyed each and every one!! I greatly appreciate the content, explanations, history, and cool "facts", regarding the firearms you showcase. I also appreciate you not using foul/crude/raunchy language during your videos. It allows me to watch AND share, without having to warn others, wear head phones, or avoid listening at work/in front of kids. But, MY FAVORITE part of all!!, is you making great content, dialogue, comraddery, and memories with your son!! It melts my heart to hear you call him "son", and him call you "dad", especially when you are grown adults-men. Shooting is a fun sport, hobby, and passion, for many of us, and your videos are proof that not all gun owners are dangerous nuts waiting to overthrow society/zombie apocalypse hunters. Please keep up the great content, and thank you again, for your great videos you provide for us gun owners that love a good "shoot around" responsibly, 🙋♂️. Hello Paul. I'm sorry for the late reply but I just found your comment. When I posted my first video here on youtube over 12 years ago I had decided that I would not use or allow any foul language in any of my videos, and I have had numerous viewers thank me for that. Harry Siegfried was the designer of the double action revolvers. Basically, a large version of the High Standard Sentinel revolver that was a n earlier creation while there. While at Ruger, he designed the Micro Motion Winchester M52 trigger, and the .44 magnum carbine from Ruger along with the 10/22 and its rotary magazine. Little known but very prolific firearms designer.
I have seven Ruger Revolvers. A Single Six in 22lr/22/mag, a Security Six , my first handgun when I turned 21 in 1978, a SRM in 357 Maximum, a Red Hawk in 44 mag, a Super Blackhawk in 44 mag, a Blackhawk in 30 Carbine, and a Blackhawk in 45LC/45acp. All great revolvers.
Nice collection! Years ago I had a .30 Carbine Blackhawk unfired and brand-new in the box but unfortunately I sold it to a friend about 30 years ago. I'm still kicking myself.
I purchased my Bi-Centennial model Ruger Police Service Six in .357 mag. new in, of course, 1976. I've no idea how many thousands of rounds that have been fired through that revolver but it's as tight now as the day I bought it. Definitely one of the best I've ever owned and I've owned it for the past 46 years. This revolver was my second Ruger revolver, the first being a 9.5 in. Single Six Convertible in '73, which I still have and shoot. Can't beat those early Ruger's.
My 1986 Ruger Security Six .357 Blue Steel with 6” barrel is a great revolver. But it has been a safe queen for many years. Guess I just want to keep it looking nice. I sold my 1988 Ruger Super Blackhawk 10.5” bull barrel .44 mag Stainless Steel revolver to a good friend of mine a couple of years ago. I practically gave it to him. But he is a 50 year friend. The revolver is in beautiful condition. A powerhouse of a weapon. My 1989 Ruger P85 is one of many concealed guns in my house. That tank is perfect for home defense. I don’t take it to the range anymore. These fine handguns will last many lifetimes. Thank you for your informative video presentation.
The first, and only, firearm my wife ever bought me was a Ruger P85, which I received for Christmas in the late 80s. I want to thank you for taking the time to watch and comment on my video.
Love my SS Security Six adjustable sights, Pachmayr's, got in the late 80's. It'll do clover leaf pattern @ 25 yd's all day long with Hornady American Handgunner 125 gr XTP. Even better accuracy then my handloads.

My old friend whom I've never met. It's always good to go shooting in the desert 🏜️ When I use to drive cross country I always loved pulling my 18 wheeler over and walking past the new debris, and past the bulk of the old debris, and into the old part of the desert. I would have a pistol shoot there about 1/4 into the desert, from where my big rig waited for my return. It always amazed me walking into the desert, you could estimate the age of the debris as you got further away from the road, until it seemed you back into the 1800's and beyond. A great place to go shoot. Great memories.
2nd year of college now in Klamath Falls Oregon. I could have walked the direct route but back then I could wake up to an alarm clock... I walked up a hill to the school with a Ruger Single-Six .22LR...just one Quail was harmed in my four years there but there might have been a couple rabbits taken elsewhere with that revolver It was a schedule...that Ruger in the backpack walking across a couple hills to class. Young and fit, 1983.--my commute to classes...and that Single-Six in my backpack every day. Then I spent a college-loan on a Colt Gold Cup... Good times!
I bought a 200th year Super Blackhawk in early 1977 plus a 6" Security Six 357 and New Model Blackhawk 7.5" barreled 45 Long Colt shortly thereafter. The 45 quickly became my favorite. I didn't have the Super Blackhawk very long as I traded it on my 1974 Ruger 77R 270 Winchester. I kept the Security Six for at least 20 years until a guy traded me a 77R 22-250 straight across for that on. Of course I wish I still had the Super Blackhawk and the Security Six. I still have the 270 which was my go to deer rifle for many years and the 45 LC Blackhawk which I've taken a couple of deer with. I can hand load the 45 close to 44 mag performance. I don't remember what I traded the 22-250 for.
The Ruger revolvers are tanks I trust them owned a few that you have also. The one that always sticks out is when I found a security six at a gander mountain (out of business). Used for $200. Bought as a hunting pistols. Then went to the range with the wife and as you husband's know she commandeered said pistol. She dead nuts accurate with it and it's her house gun. Upside is She told me to buy another hunting pistol. And I chose a Super Redhawk in 480 Ruger. What a whomper! And super easy to reload. Not much more recoil than a 44mag. Son has a SP101 and a GP100. I had a 44 mag with the 10.5" barrel had good accuracy but barrel just too long for practical hunting even with a chest rig. Ruger revolvers are just a great investment in fun.
I had the SP101 and the GP100 decades ago, but you introduced me to the older classic lineup a decade ago, and I tip my hat to you and offer a sincere thanks. I collected many when the prices were low and love them, all.
@@mixup98 Back in the 90,s in the UK when we had a functioning British government (not this shower of twats now!).A section 1 firearms certificate allowed me to purchase a Ruger GP 100 .357 and a Ruger single six with the spare .22 WRM cylinder. They where my favourite most accurate and reliable revolvers.Along with my 9 mm 92 FS I never purchased anything else.Such a shame how my joke of a country descended into corrupt moral less cretins.Hey ho good old days good memories thanks for a cracking video stay safe.Tony
I own several Rugers. Got my 1st one in 1969, a 22 auto, not a MKII or even a MKI, just marked as a 22 automatic pistol. I now have em in 22 to 44 mag. I hand load and can honestly say, you can't hurt a Ruger!
Your son has really taken care of that Redhawk. My son is the same way, he knows the value of taking care of something that may save his life some day.
Great video. I enjoy all your work. I own lcrx's, Blackhawks, gp100 sp101 redhawk. But my favorite is my dad's blue security six 357mag with 4 inch barrel. I put Hogue grips on all my handguns. You're good family man and provide good firearm info and videos, keep it coming! (Wish I had a place to shoot like you)
I love my Ruger firearms but I have yet to own one of their revolvers. I've had the pleasure of shooting an SP101 many years ago and it shot great, very nice gun. Those are some nice "shootin' irons" Mixup!
My first handgun was a used Ruger Security Six with a four inch barrel. It had a set of Herrett grips on it. I bought it back in 1975. I knew little about hand guns back then. I still have it and love it.
Nice herd of Rugers there. The brand has always been reliable for me. Had to get rid of a few years ago and I sure wish I had them back. The ones I got now are all fine guns. I’ve got a granddaughter who loves shooting big hand cannons.
Some years ago before I relocated from Missouri to Florida I owned a4 inch Ruger Security Six in stainless and in .357 magnum and a Ruger Super Blackhawk in 44 magnum. Both were great shooters, but I let them slip through my fingers. They are gone but not forgotten
A .44 Redhawk was my third handgun. My first two handguns were cheap pieces of junk which was all I could afford at the time. My collection eventually included 5 Ruger revolvers. The most prized one was a .357 Redhawk. When I decided to upgrade my USPSA gun (which cost thousands) I sold a dozen guns to finance the upgrade (Colt .38 Super) which included all of my Rugers. Because of several factors, including expense, I quit USPSA within a year, but my .357 Redhawk was long gone. Several decades later I have 3 Ruger revolvers now in my collection, but the one I really wanted to replace was the .357 Redhawk. I have a .44 caliber. Mine that I sold many years ago was the only one I had ever seen (yes I know about the new unfluted ones) until I saw this video. Be sure to tell your son that I said he is one lucky son of a gun. If I ever find one for sale I would be willing to pay a pretty penny, but I am pretty sure your son's won't be coming up for sale in my lifetime.
I have many rugers a speed six 357 a old duty gun back in the 1970s . But recently bought a S&W 44mag 2inch it is the best revolver I ever bought . Hope you had a great time out there shooting .
Well I'm a Ruger Revolver lover , great guns . I have a Sp101 357 mag and a Speed six 38spl from the 1980 . I also hade GP100 3" and 5" . Security six 2 3/4 , 4" and 6" . Really love Ruger s! 😁
A month ago I got me an Uberti 1858 Remington style new model army .44 caliber revolver and a Howell fluted .45 colt cartridge conversion cylinder for it and a couple of boxes of HSM .45 colt 200 grain cowboy load cartridges for it. I ain’t had a chance to fire it yet but I’m fixing to a week from Monday on the 3rd with my girlfriend after I fetch her at the airport
Awesome! Please let me know how it shoots. I recently picked up a nice, used 1858 Remington with the Howell .45 ACP conversion cylinder and I hope to do a review on it soon. So far it's not very accurate due to the length that the bullet has to travel before it engages the rifling. Should be an interesting video.
Is it a 5 shot cylinder? Mine is a 6 shot but I only load 5 and I rest the hammer on an empty chamber. The .45 colt 200 grain cowboy load 6 shot cylinders are the most common especially the non fluted kind and in both fluted and non fluted tend to shoot the best. The flat nose of the HSM .45 colt 200 grain bullet is very close to the mouth of the chamber when loaded so it don’t have far to travel to the forcing cone
I have an unboxing video posted on my channel that I made of me unboxing the piece and the conversion cylinder when I received them a month ago. 2 days later I drove nearly 300 miles to the Cabela’s outlet in Hamburg PA. to score their last 2 boxes of HSM .45 colt 200 grain cowboy load cartridges for it
@@Matzah1982 Mine has the 5 shot cylinder. I bought the revolver at a pawn shop and unfortunately it didn't come with the original black powder cylinder. I wish it had come with the Howell .45 Colt cylinder instead of the .45 ACP. The revolver looks brand new (it's a Pietta) and I couldn't pass it up for $150, and yes, I know how much a Howell conversion cylinder costs. I was at the right place at the right time when I bought it 👍😎
I bought my piece from Dixie gun works online for 400 bucks. It has a blue steeled frame. My Howell conversion cylinder I bought from midway USA online for 285 bucks plus I paid for overnight shipping on both so between that and the ammo it was almost 900 bucks

Love my SS Security Six adjustable sights, Pachmayr's, got in the late 80's. It'll do clover leaf pattern @ 25 yd's all day long with Hornady American Handgunner 125 gr XTP. Even better accuracy then my handloads.
We would love to see your WHOLE Collection to see ALL Your toys... 💯💥🤠
I think it would be easier to break up my modest collection into separate videos covering my shotguns, semiauto rifles, .45 pistols, etc.
@@mixup98 That's a good idea! As all your content is great! @@mixup98 ... Thank you for your kind words Sir and salute you as well for a job well done!!! I know, my time with my kids is priceless and blessed beyond belief as they are still children and we can see that they definitely are very much attached to me at the hip, lol and being unable to work has been a blessing in disguise, even though it's rough financial wise but have been getting through with the help of God... Thank you for your reply and sharing your knowledge and time with your son as those moments will never be forgotten, I just lost my pops suddenly on 4 July and miss him as I had much still to do with him and also see my boys grown up, but he's in a better place now... I’ve got a Ruger Gp100 6” in 357 magnum and a Ruger Blackhawk Bisley 7.5” in 45 Colt and love them both.
My dad passed in March of this year and left me a Ruger GP100 just like yours, only mine has a 6 inch barrel. Great firearm, I love it.
Sorry for your loss. At least you have a badass revolver and hopefully some good memories to hang onto
@@youngboyharless9769 Thank you, definitely good memories attached for sure!
The story about the Redhawk and how you had it for 12 years than gave it to him on his 18th bday was a very kool story.
Thank you 👍😎
GP100 goes everywhere i go
You with a last name like TRIBBLE… your “beaming in intros” crack me up. I have not missed any of your videos and wish everyone would do such a to the point and honest job.
Thank you for your families diligent shooting videos and you sir, are an amazing shot!
God bless!
Your collection is a work of art that goes bang
My old friend whom I've never met. It's always good to go shooting in the desert 🏜️
When I use to drive cross country I always loved pulling my 18 wheeler over and walking past the new debris, and past the bulk of the old debris, and into the old part of the desert.
Excellent video! I have the GP100 and an SP101, both in .357 magnum, and they are fantastic firearms.
Yes they are! Thanks 8626John!
Good times!
Redhawk .357 7 1/2" is Badass I love mine.
Ruger is one of my favorite revolvers, I have a few.
Nice! Just gotta love Ruger Wheelguns! The SA .44 is my fave y’all show, loved the SP101 for a very long time. Thanks for a job well done!
Thank you for the nice feedback and we thank you for watching our video.
Thanks for sharing, Tim. I also bought most of mine when prices were much lower.
Absolutely awesome Ruger Revolver collection !!!!!!!!!!!! I love my Ruger revolvers too.
Finest revolvers going
Yes indeed! 👍😎
In the past I owned quite a few rugers and they were all great pistols and affordable
Great video. Something about the six shooters, they’ve got a special place in the heart. That Ruger Wrangler is a fun little plinker.
Thanks Adam 👍😎
Another great video! I own a Security Six and love it.
My son and I also do some good bonding at the range. It’s great to see them gain skill and confidence.
That is great to hear T Flynn, and I salute you. My son and I both thank you.
Your son has really taken care of that Redhawk. My son is the same way, he knows the value of taking care of something that may save his life some day.
Huge fan of Ruger Revolvers. Loved this video.
Awesome....thank you!!!!
Great Fun As Always 🙂☕👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Great video and selection of fine revolvers, notice how thick the cylinder walls are on the redhawk, wow talking about a strong gun!
Good shooting!
Love my Ruger Security Six, and Red Hawk
👍😎 👍😎
Ruger-great guns I have the security six and the blackhawk 45.
Hello carlrball. I will be posting a Ruger GP100 video this weekend and we hope you enjoy it. 👍🤠
My first handgun was a used Ruger Security Six with a four inch barrel. It had a set of Herrett grips on it. I bought it back in 1975. I knew little about hand guns back then. I still have it and love it.
The only way you'd get my Hogue grip off of my Security Six is if you pried my cold dead fingers from around it 😂
Nice herd of Rugers there. The brand has always been reliable for me. Had to get rid of a few years ago and I sure wish I had them back. The ones I got now are all fine guns. I’ve got a granddaughter who loves shooting big hand cannons.
i own a Blued Ruger GP100 4in. 357 mag! awesome piece! i want to buy SP 101 stainless someday
Thanks for posting. An Awesome collection of Ruger Wheel guns. Really Enjoyed.
👍🤠 👍😎
Great family day, and great guns! You two are lucky to have each other!
Gotta love the thunder from the 44.
That security six is a very nice piece
Yes indeed! 👍😎
I have a GP100 4 inch. Love it!
👍😎
What a nice assortment of revolvers! Cheers!
The old dodge would make nice rat rod. Love my rugers gp 357 6" & wrangler.
Some years ago before I relocated from Missouri to Florida I owned a4 inch Ruger Security Six in stainless and in .357 magnum and a Ruger Super Blackhawk in 44 magnum. Both were great shooters, but I let them slip through my fingers. They are gone but not forgotten
Awesome Man! Love my SP101 too.. Thanks for the video!
The first pistol I purchased was the Ruger speed six. Love it.
I would love to find a nice, used Speed Six someday and do a review on it. 👍🤠
Nice collection! I also love Ruger revolvers (obviously) and maybe I'll do another video review on my Security Six sometime in the near future.
@@mixup98 thank you Sr for the Honor of your reply. I see a lot of your videos ! I love old guns and revolvers. Bless you and keep doing videos ! 😁
@@LuisFernandez-di9lz Thank you my friend! Have a great Sunday tomorrow and Bless you and yours.
Thanks for the vid! My search for a Ruger GP100 model 1740 continues, but I did recently add a Ruger American pistol in .45ACP to my Ruger collection.
Hello Chris. I hope someday that you can scratch the GP100 off your bucket list. Please let us know if you find one. I hope to review a Ruger American pistol sometime in the future. Should be fun.
always worth my time to watch your videos, good wholesome family time spent,
You and your son are good shots. it pays to practice. Love revolvers !!!
We appreciate the compliment and we thank you for watching our video.
I just bought a new Ruger SP101 in stainless as my bedside gun. I love it
Awesome! You certainly made the right choice with that SP101. I own several revolvers but the SP101 is definitely one of my favorites.
Got my first center fire handgun in 1978. Ruger Security Six with a 6” barrel. Really wanted a S&W Model 19 but they were hard to find. Still have it. Many many many rounds through it. And have accumulated about 15 more Rugers…. And did get that M19 too 😊. Great video!
Your Son is a good shot. It certainly shows that you started early in life with him.
Hello Hag. I started teaching my son how to shoot when he was about six years old. I remember him using his Red Ryder BB gun and winning 2 turkeys at the Moose Lodge when he was about seven years old. Maybe someday some of those old photos will make it into one of our videos.
Hey Mix & son , always glad to see your videos! God bless
Thank you and same to you, my friend.
Thanks so much for the preview with the sp 101. I just purchased a security 6 with the 2 3/4 " barrel in 357. Can't wait to try her out.
Security Six. Great classic strong revolver.
