Minho is the type of person who is extremely prepared for any type of interview. He would have already looked up and seen their program well in advance if he doesn't know the program before. His members always amazed at how much time he has to watch everything they ever take part in. And he behave very differently with different people. He jokes around with the host because he knows they will be comfortable. Otherwise, he will be extremely polite. He can literally make friends with anyone. He is well known for having an extremely large friend circle, people from all ages and from athletes to idols to actors to comedians. Never worry about him on any show, just have a good time.
SHINee's leader, Onew, recently participated in a series I think you would find interesting. Basically, an idol communicates with a family member of a fan and tries to have a conversation with them, with a goal of the family member understanding why the fan admires the idol. Onew spoke with a fan's grandmother and his communication was so good that I thought I should suggest it to your channel
So actually both Minho (with Jonghyun) and Josh/Ollie lost really close personal friends to suicide, so their discussion on maintaining positivity in the face of adversity or regret is super interesting and touching..

I forgot to add my thoughts about Ollie and Josh. To me,Josh seems like the guy who(since he knows korean well) is the "interviewer" . A funny guy who can relax the guests if they're not confident with speaking English and Ollie is the guy whom with his humour can make anyone relax regardless of language barrier and make them laugh hard and make them comfortable. I think Josh and ollie have a special gift of interviewing all kinds of celebrities where they can be themselves without feeling the need to be "on their toes" so to speak. Usually they have to be careful about what they say but with these two...they can be real and talk from the heart. That's why I love Josh and ollie :) they have more interviewing out like with two from NCT..so funny .. :-)
Ollie from Korean Englishman is actually a really charming balance between a comedic relief kind of character and a very sincere, philosophical and deep that I think allows him to charm, disarm and connect to people even through language barriers.
Minho is indeed so genuine, and thoughtful too.. whoever he's interacting with, friends, fans, members, or colleagues.. you can def. feel that. An yeah very charismatic.. and a super good listener. He engages 100% in a conversation and makes you feel important

Ollie really flexes his comedic muscle on Jolly and he’s super funny and his dynamic with josh his bff is really fun to watch. Then you have the super funny dynamic he has with his bff’s wife Gabie both of whom compete for Josh’s love all the time it’s hilarious. And his and Gabie’s relationship is like bickering siblings. I love the Korean Englishman channel and their 2nd channel JOLLY. Just some background for you for future reactions to them: Korean Englishman was started by Josh Carrott (the reddish pink shirt) and Ollie Kendal (green shirt) in 2013. Josh was born in England but moved to Qingdao, China when he was 12. He became enamored with the Korean language and culture while attending the International School of Qingdao, having met Korean expatriate students there, and upon returning to England for university majored in Korean Language Studies. He's fluent in Korean and speaks Chinese as well. Josh is married to Gabbie Kook, an Argentine-born South Korean chef and fellow vlogger. Ollie is Josh's best friend and business partner. They met at University and have been basically inseparable ever since. They had a whole series where Josh (and Korean speaking friends) tried to help Ollie learn Korean. He's by no means fluent, but he is trying to learn and as you can see, he is able to follow some of the conversation when it's in Korean. If you are interested in Korean Culture aside from KPOP, then Korean Englishman is a good starter resource. They have done a really good job at bringing Korean Culture to the West.
I'm glad that you're diving into Korean Englishman and Jolly. These guys are hilarious and have a very special friendship. And just for some explanation, Josh is fluent in Korean. Ollie can easily follow Korean conversations but struggles with speaking the language. He tries to come up with clever Korean phrases and jokes with vary degrees of success. Sometime's he's inadvertently hilarious at this. He's definitely the comedy relief part of the duo while Josh struggles to keep everyone to task.
I love Shinee especially Choi Minho. Also the Korean Englishmen. I’m from the States, watching Korean Englishmen I learned a lot about the food, learned to love Korean Chicken. Minho and V acted together in a K-Drama “Hawrang: Poet Warriors
Josh and Ollie are best friends. They've been together for a long time now and their chemistry is amazing. Ollie does play a sort of a "comic relief" in their videos it's true. Because he is so funny and not after to poke fun at himself
I recently started listening more to SHINee. One of the first kpop groups I got into was EXO, who I love because of the vocals and also the relationship the members have within the group. That is something that attracted me to SHINee. I saw that same charisma in them as I did in EXO. Especially Key and Minoh. Those two crack me up and I love their realness. Korean Englishman is also one of my favorite UA-cam channels.

Ok, this is a one year reaction late to this one and firstly can I say, such a nice reaction video. One thing I will say is Korean Englishman channel has been going for about 10 years now and it's huge in Korea. So all the K-Pop stars and Korean actors etc who meet them are also in awe of them as most of them would have been watching the two Brits for years since when they were in school and kids themselves and know them. I have taught lots of Koreans English in the past and I have mentioned the Korean Englishman channel and everyone of them knows it. Although in Korea they just call the channel Englishman, obviously said in Korean
Minho and Key are crazy funny together lol. I love how Minho freely admits he enjoys driving Key crazy. Their hungover Home Alone episode was so much fun. 😂 Also Key and Taemin car chats are pretty funny as well.
I discovered Josh and Olly through Jolly (their other channel) because they were filming in New Zealand which is where I am. Then started watching Korean Englishman and discovered Korean Culture, Korean food, K-Pop then BTS and Korean language. And I've been riding down the BTS rabbit hole ever since. And that's how I discovered you.
Korean Englishman's entire shtick with interviews is that he (Josh) does all the talking in Korean and any mistake that Ollie makes when he tries to contribute something in Korean becomes some huge joke. On the flipside, Ollie is the one who really researches the guests and asks the thought-provoking and interesting questions on top of having great comedic sense and timing, so it's probably for the best that he can't speak Korean lmao

I think you misunderstood what Minho said at around 9:02. Worrying about fans forgetting about him while he was in the Marines was "in vain" because it had him viewing this new time in his life as.a loss instead of as an opportunity. He soon realized that was the wrong way to see it. Ollie understood what Minho said (10:45). Also, I find it interesting when you talk about people allowing themselves to be vulnerable. At no time is Miinho vulnerable in this interview. He has a healthy opinion of himself, because he is confident, he can laugh at himself and admit to things that others might find shameful -- he's okay with these things so it doesn't really matter what someone else thinks. Where do you see the vulnerability? This is important if you are coaching someone who isn't confident and carries feelings of shame and inadequacy. The advice isn't to be brave. That won't help. The advice is to help them feel more confident in what they do and to care much less what others think about them.That, I believe, is the basis of confidence: not caring what personal traits someone else assigns you if you believe in yourself. I get asked how I stand in front of large groups of people and speak, sometimes extemporaneously.I don't think I quite conveys what I believe when I say,, "I don't care what they think. That makes it easy." If they booed me, I wouldn't be happy. I would go to work on where I messed up to understand what happened and how to fix it, but there wouldn't be any shame. When I figure out what happened when I wasn't as successful as I thought I would be, I usually find it amusing. Much of Minho's charisma, IMO, has to do with his healthy sense of confidence and lack of shame. Also, his sense of humor. And the good looks don't hurt, either.

My worlds are colliding! I've been following the Korean Englishman channel for 5 years and they're such genuine guys! I would love if you checked out more from them. I love the Korean Englishman channel and their 2nd channel JOLLY. Just some background for you for future reactions to them: Korean Englishman was started by Josh Carrott (the reddish pink shirt) and Ollie Kendal (green shirt) in 2013. Josh was born in England but moved to Qingdao, China when he was 12. He became enamored with the Korean language and culture while attending the International School of Qingdao, having met Korean expatriate students there, and upon returning to England for university majored in Korean Language Studies. He's fluent in Korean and speaks Chinese as well. Josh is married to Gabbie Kook, an Argentine-born South Korean chef and fellow vlogger. Ollie is Josh's best friend and business partner. They met at University and have been basically inseparable ever since. They had a whole series where Josh (and Korean speaking friends) tried to help Ollie learn Korean. He's by no means fluent, but he is trying to learn and as you can see, he is able to follow some of the conversation when it's in Korean. If you are interested in Korean Culture aside from KPOP, then Korean Englishman is a good starter resource. They have done a really good job at bringing Korean Culture to the West.
I'm glad that you're diving into Korean Englishman and Jolly. These guys are hilarious and have a very special friendship. And just for some explanation, Josh is fluent in Korean. Ollie can easily follow Korean conversations but struggles with speaking the language. He tries to come up with clever Korean phrases and jokes with vary degrees of success. Sometime's he's inadvertently hilarious at this. He's definitely the comedy relief part of the duo while Josh struggles to keep everyone to task.

I love Shinee especially Choi Minho. Also the Korean Englishmen. I’m from the States, watching Korean Englishmen I learned a lot about the food, learned to love Korean Chicken. Minho and V acted together in a K-Drama “Hawrang: Poet Warriors
Josh and Ollie are best friends. They've been together for a long time now and their chemistry is amazing. Ollie does play a sort of a "comic relief" in their videos it's true. Because he is so funny and not after to poke fun at himself
I recently started listening more to SHINee. One of the first kpop groups I got into was EXO, who I love because of the vocals and also the relationship the members have within the group. That is something that attracted me to SHINee. I saw that same charisma in them as I did in EXO. Especially Key and Minoh. Those two crack me up and I love their realness.
Korean Englishman is also one of my favorite UA-cam channels.

Ok, this is a one year reaction late to this one and firstly can I say, such a nice reaction video. One thing I will say is Korean Englishman channel has been going for about 10 years now and it's huge in Korea. So all the K-Pop stars and Korean actors etc who meet them are also in awe of them as most of them would have been watching the two Brits for years since when they were in school and kids themselves and know them. I have taught lots of Koreans English in the past and I have mentioned the Korean Englishman channel and everyone of them knows it. Although in Korea they just call the channel Englishman, obviously said in Korean

Minho and Key are crazy funny together lol. I love how Minho freely admits he enjoys driving Key crazy. Their hungover Home Alone episode was so much fun. 😂 Also Key and Taemin car chats are pretty funny as well.
I discovered Josh and Olly through Jolly (their other channel) because they were filming in New Zealand which is where I am. Then started watching Korean Englishman and discovered Korean Culture, Korean food, K-Pop then BTS and Korean language. And I've been riding down the BTS rabbit hole ever since. And that's how I discovered you.
Korean Englishman's entire shtick with interviews is that he (Josh) does all the talking in Korean and any mistake that Ollie makes when he tries to contribute something in Korean becomes some huge joke. On the flipside, Ollie is the one who really researches the guests and asks the thought-provoking and interesting questions on top of having great comedic sense and timing, so it's probably for the best that he can't speak Korean lmao

I think you misunderstood what Minho said at around 9:02. Worrying about fans forgetting about him while he was in the Marines was "in vain" because it had him viewing this new time in his life as.a loss instead of as an opportunity. He soon realized that was the wrong way to see it. Ollie understood what Minho said (10:45).
Also, I find it interesting when you talk about people allowing themselves to be vulnerable. At no time is Miinho vulnerable in this interview. He has a healthy opinion of himself, because he is confident, he can laugh at himself and admit to things that others might find shameful -- he's okay with these things so it doesn't really matter what someone else thinks. Where do you see the vulnerability?
This is important if you are coaching someone who isn't confident and carries feelings of shame and inadequacy. The advice isn't to be brave. That won't help. The advice is to help them feel more confident in what they do and to care much less what others think about them.That, I believe, is the basis of confidence: not caring what personal traits someone else assigns you if you believe in yourself.
I get asked how I stand in front of large groups of people and speak, sometimes extemporaneously.I don't think I quite conveys what I believe when I say,, "I don't care what they think. That makes it easy."
If they booed me, I wouldn't be happy. I would go to work on where I messed up to understand what happened and how to fix it, but there wouldn't be any shame. When I figure out what happened when I wasn't as successful as I thought I would be, I usually find it amusing.
Much of Minho's charisma, IMO, has to do with his healthy sense of confidence and lack of shame. Also, his sense of humor. And the good looks don't hurt, either.
