What a gorgeous couple. The way you guys look, you could easily be Arubians. Glad you enjoyed our Island ... hope seeing you back. Take care ... Stay safe ...
You guys video on your trip is fabulous. I really loved it Iguanas and all you capture a true video adventure and serious feeling of a nice trip. Why its not boring with silly stuff, food, makeup and other things that are corny !! keep up the travel adventures
very detailed and informed, no pandemic videos mentioned the mandatory travelers insurance. must you also take the covid test in aruba, or as long as you take the test 72 hours prior to arriving, you're fine?
Thanks so much for the feedback. Actually if you are from a specific state listed on the Aruba covid website you must test prior to flying and once you arrive. The states frequently get updated so definitely check the website before anything!
I went in December. Get your test within 72hours of your flight. You’ll need to fill out the online form and submit your results 12 hours prior to departure. You could wait till you get there but I wouldn’t recommend it. When I arrived- I just saw a line a people waiting to get tested. Also, when I got to my resort, they checked that I had a card that said I was tested. I think if you don’t have your results, you’ll have to quarantine.
Hello question when it was time to come back did you have to pay for another covid test and how many hours did you have to take it before heading back to NY?
Aruba is SO beautiful! I want to visit there & Flamingo beach I 💖 Flamingoes, (they're one of my favourite birds) Problem is I'm VERY scare of Iguanas/ Lizards. Seriously afraid of them. Did a LOT of them come over to Flamingo beach? Anyway Fun trip, glad ya'll had a good time. Maybe, I'll get the courage to go there one day😆
Thank you! It was $70 but the insurance depends on your age and how long you're staying. You can see how much it would cost in this link: www.arubavisitorsinsurance.com/calculator
This was a great video! I'm thinking about going to Abrua in April did it feel safe enough to travel alone? Where you all rent your car? Did you eat at place around the hotel?
Thanks so much! Aruba is one of the safest islands in the Caribbean. We rented a car with Budget Car Rental. They were pretty affordable but I recommend trying to get one in advance at the airport because we had to take a cab to the rental and it was pricey. There are so many places to eat around the hotel (walking distance). Definitely visit the Dutch Pancake House (so good for breakfast), 5'o clock somewhere is awesome too! Everything on their menu is delicious! We also went to Driftwood. Flying Fishbone is a must when visiting. You eat with your feet in the water, I forgot to show it in the Vlog. You need reservations well in advance. Barefoot restaurant is also good. Hope this helps!
Hi! Fantastic video but I do have a question. Normally check in for resorts is 4 PM if you wait to get COVID-19 tested upon your arrival does the hotel agree to let you check in prior to 4 PM?
Thanks so much! And yes, the hotel will allow you to check in prior to 4 and while you are waiting for your results. Renaissance Aruba gave us a room card that only worked once to enter. This ensures that you remain in quarantine until your results come in. Once they arrive, you show the front desk your results and they switch you to a normal card. I hope that answers your question 🤗 let me know if you have any more questions!
Penelope, Thank you ! This has been our biggest concern about arriving and getting tested in Aruba. We traveled there before but usually stay closer to the high rise areas.
Hi. Luv the video. I'm stayng at the Renaissance next year and I can't swim. How do you get to the baby beach? I think that's the beach for me as well. 😊
It was $75 for a PCR test. We got our results in about 5 hours. They say you will receive results guaranteed within 24 hours. I highly doubt you will have to quarantine for 3 days. They are pretty fast with the results. Don't forget to download the Aruba health app.
Definitely rent a car, it is so much cheaper. You can't get lost in Aruba but do be careful driving because we didn't see any stoplights they have a lot of roundabouts. If you rent a car download the app Maps.me for navigation that doesn't require wifi. You'll need wifi to download the app but then it works outside with no wifi
Thank you! Renaissance does have an all inclusive option that is $147 per person per day. We did it for the first 3 days and then told them to cancel it because the food at all the restaurants were really affordable. So honestly I don't recommend doing AI there. There's quite a few places 5 minute walking from the hotel like the Dutch pancakehouse and 5'o clock somewhere. I also recommend renting a car and eating at flying fishbone! Hope this helps :)
@@senicawilson1637 it was a little over $400 with taxes. It includes a personal server, champagne, bottled water, snorkeling gear. There's electrical outlets so brought a music speaker there as well. We were celebrating our 1 year anniversary so we splurged, but honestly it was worth it for the experience. It felt very luxe! Hope that helps!
At the time there were no places in NYC that were giving results within 72 hours. Your results had to be valid within 72 hours of your flight. You should be able to get a rapid test now in NYC but make sure its pcr and not the antibodies test, they're different.
@@cupcake5667 "Tests must be taken at 72 hours prior to departure (or closer to departure) and the results need to be uploaded no later than 12 hours prior to departure to Aruba. Any tests and results executed before 72 hours prior to departure to Aruba will not be valid."

Regarding the flamingos, they've had their wings clipped so they can't fly and migrate like they instinctively want to do. They have no choice but to be docile as they now rely on the 'food' that the hotel provides them. It's a real shame they can't be free like their cousins in Bonaire. The Renaissance have been exploiting these flamingos for years to generate more income for their overpriced and average hotel. While some people are okay with this practice, others are not and they should be aware of it before they throw away $500+ for this 'experience'.
I understand where you're coming from. However, visiting the San Diego Zoo or the Georgia Aquarium is the same idea as Visiting the flamingos on the island. As long as the animals are not being physically harmed then I see no issues with it. To each their own.
@@curlyandproud You're right, it's just like a zoo, but it doesn't change the fact that they are denied their fundamental action of flying 😔 Scientific research has shown that confined animals, even those that are fed and housed well, display different behaviors to their wild counterparts, showing psychological stress. I hope that in the 21st century human beings get past enslaving sentient creatures simply for their entertainment and Instagram pages and let them live the free life that they also deserve.

Thank you so much for this.
So happy I was able to help :)
Do you have the option to do the throat test??
They actually do both at the airport. You don't have the option to do either or there.
thanks for this vid im going to the same resort in a week! Was there any nightlife that was open such as bars and clubs?
Nice! When we went there weren't any clubs open but things may have changed in the past 3 months. Enjoy and stay safe!

From what I’ve been seeing on other vlogs you will have to take a test when you get there and quarantine until the results come back like they did.
