Why no UA-cam music?
UA-cam music is still missing. That is huge limitation, it works with limited platforms and I'm not subscribing to 3 services only for limited compatibility issues. PLEASE RESOLVE THIS

Queue list is still limited to 300 tracks, which makes HEOS useless for shuffling music...
Agreed. To the developers… please prioritize this, 300 tracks is way too low.

Why is there no option to fast forward or rewind when playing music files on USB mode. Sometimes I just want to get to a certain point of a track.
Tidal connect is on the road map 🎉🎉 I asked the question with Denon the other day and was told to keep an eye out for updates it may arrive very soon- people moan about HEOS but for me it’s more stable than Sonos and when updates do arrive they don’t ruin the app 😂😂😂
After the HEOS app update, when I try to set up a server, the app says to ‘look at DLNA documentation’ but no longer is my Serviio DLNA being seen over the network. However, I can access some of the tracks via the ‘Recent’ area. This is extremely frustrating.
I love Heos! The only way I can get hi-res audio to the receiver without transcoding. BUT browsing streaming service (amazon in my case) by artist needs two major improvements - 1) Group the artists properly so not every variant of artist with featured artist is a separate option (group it the same as the streaming service); and 2) Add quick jump letters of alphabet down the ride hand side as you scroll like all other music apps do so you can quickly jump to artists starting with T for example (currently this takes some serious scrolling). Love the new app though!
Hello, when is HEOS going to support Tidal Hifi Plus? (on Marantz Cinema 40)

@@JanPeters I believe in the next HEOS (U33) firmware update that is scheduled to be released some time in April or maybe sooner, there will be Roon Ready certification along with Tidal Hi-Res (Hifi Plus tier), well that is what is being rumoured at this point ;)

This is how Marantz 40n is advertised with support for Tidal. This is why I purchased Marantz 40n. If Tidal high res will not be supported by Heos app I might just return this amp.
Also tidal connect is on the road map as I had an email say keep an eye out for new updates I received the email 3 days ago as I asked the question
@@steve-ey4ol thanks. In the end I went for Lyngdorf TDAI-1120. Very happy with it. It has everything I need including tidal connect.
The old app worked perfectly for me with our Marantz SR5013 to access music on our LinkStation NAS. The new app lists all folders on the NAS that have media files, not just the folder we direct it to that has all of our music collection. The result is a huge mess making it very difficult to select music because audio and video files from other folders on the drive are listed with the contents of the music folder . I have never seen any computer program that searches a whole drive when directed to just one folder on the drive. I suppose this is part of the boast that it finds all music from all sources. It makes listening to our music collection nearly impossible; certainly very frustrating. And all this seems to be part of the design. ☹
I followed the instructions to create a playlist, the playlist appears in the list of HEOS playlists, but none of the songs are added. The songs are located in my Synology NAS. I also tried to add a playing song to a playlist, when I open the info/more button, the option to add to a playlist does not show! If the source of my music is Tidal and I add songs to the queue, opening the queue and choosing Save as a Playlist, it creates the playlist in Tidal, not in the Heos Playlists. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?
Tone control is needed on devices. I should be able to apply tone controls to Amazon music playing from my network player
The biggest pain point of HEOS is its hardware limitation to stereo.
There is no option to play all albums, or to select all songs from one artist, or to select folder with subfolders to play all tracks in it when streaming from server. Please add this option.
UA-cam Music, please
App is much improved however when I use universal search and type in tidal essentials I only get a few listings within the HEOS app but when I type in the same in the tidal app I get more choices for essential artist playlists so for me I still have to go to the tidal app and then back to HEOS app - would love to just use one app to stream rather than going back and forth to find music. As I said the app has come along way from 5 years ago.

Preferred the old app. Searching for artists or albums now takes about a minute for results to appear. I usually only want to search Amazon Music so I use filters but it still takes about a minute for any results to show. Was fine before the update.
An update to the above. The issue of searching for artists or albums is now much quicker. This is no longer a problem for me. Would be good if they added more music services such as Qobuz, and Apple Music without the need to AirPlay.
why is there no way to sort your own library? preview by artist or last added in Tidal environment?
Can you not add podcasts into heos favorites or just favorites? It just says play Now or queuing?
The universal search doesn’t find my Tidal HEOS playlists. The playlist tabs doesn’t have my songs either. The only way to play them is select Tidal> button and 13 more steps to play and 5 steps to exit. I have called Denon and messaged HEOS with no solution found. It is the same on my IPad and Android phone.
Will Tidal work in dolby atmos mode? Or... still not?

No HEOS is just a two channel stereo - your just need to use a Apple TV for that

If you have premium it's 256 aac so it's not low quality.

This should still be worked on, ok DSD works on the network, but neither Tidal Connect or MQA/24 bit.. distorts album images, it cannot be found, there is a creak when changing tracks on the DNLA (fade in/out?) 🙂 .. there is no Denon/Marantz- is he a good programmer? ... it is so far, e.g. from Wiim Home as from Shenzhen Tokyo.

I would just love to be able to stream HIFI quality from Deezer. 320kbs mp3 as highest option is just lame. I have to Chromecast to Shield or Airplay to Marantz to get better quality.
For me Deezer shows "FLAC - 44.1kHz / 16 bit" in the Info screen.
Can I use my computer to use HEOS? I don't want to use my phone all the time

Until now everything worked perfect with Heoa surround 150 and subwofer.
Recently all 3 devices lost connectivity. I can not reconnect them to wifi.
I restarted router, speakers, disconnected from the power...did everything.
It has to do something with new Heos software. I am not an It guru but not an idiot either...can not believe it should be so complicated.
Who can help to fix it?
I only see videos about "how great Heos is" but this shouldn't be like that!

so limited in comparison to the streaming on Sonos, not even is the same universe. That being said I love the fact I can just hit play and it turns on my amp and starts the stream.

I have a question and I’ve looked at the manual and internet but nothing :( how do I use this app with my denon avr-s970h 7.2 😢the app just keeps telling me to use the quick start guide in the manual and all that says is to download the app….😢?

The old app was clunky but worked. The new one won't link with the NAS drive, leaving me to scroll 8GB of music, starting at 'A' , using the stereo remote control. Gah.
My problem is the same. No solution?
More feedback… the improvements are really appreciated. The search feature is class leading, I'm knocked by it… searches ALL my music sources in seconds. The more I use the app now, the more I love it. Deep gratitude.

I have the latest version of the app. If I click on Tidal ( i have paide subsription) there is no option to log in to the service. So at this point I have a useless subsription. Please give info how to log into Tidal. Otherwise please pay for my - now - useless tidal subsiption. When I bougt the Cinema 50 I was under the assumtion i could AT LEAST listen to Tidal via HEOS.
also in the tidal app, the marantz is not shown as a device. WHY??? If the boys and girls from Spotify can make that happen, why can't you???

I prefer the look of the old app😢 It looked more elegant. The fonts are now bold and clunky😢. And according to the info I should be able to play the sound of UA-cam videos but that is still not possible. Some channels via Tune In are not there in the new app as well. For instance Classic FM in the Netherlands.
Is there an alarm clock? Like can Spotify wake me up?

Freaked me out! Your examples radio stations are all stations I listen to here in San Diego. Is youtube listening to my thoughts now?! Or you're here in SD too probably
Unfortunately, for Internet radio, it is worse than the old app. You still CANNOT save the bitrate for your favourite radio station. The old app allowed you to select the bitrate/stream while listening. The new app does not allow it. Can you please fix this bug?
It does allow you to select bitrate stream, select the 'i' and choose your favorite stream.
Thank you @JanPeters. I finally found it. In the old version, the location of the menu was easier for me to find.
I still do not understand why Heos does not save the selected bitrate in favorites. You have to select it over and over again. I also do not understand why Heos does not allow you to save your own link to stream of Internet radio (like e.g. Logitech Squeezebox does); it would be a perfect solution for this issue.
The sound of Denon devices, to me, is so much better than their competitors unfortunatly, there's a bug, a 60 sec hum in a 5 year old Heos 7 H2 which Denon is not able to fix😢 6:31 Very bad, it was not a cheap device. Buying another brand is not really an option since the other Denon speakers I have are noy compatible with Heos/Denon. So the service is bad😢, the new app is worse than the old one, no youtube unless you play via tv/soundbar but the sound is, to me, the best.
Search is still unusable on iPhone or iPad 15 minutes searching for a single title
Instead introducing new features. Please fix bugs and performance issues first. People have bought physical devices worth thousands and cannot use the as intended because Heos is not (yet) in shape.
Marantz/Denon fans believe in you, please make it happen.
how do you access a PLAYLIST that you have created from USB MP3? There is no menu in the HEOS app capable of displaying the PLAYLIST or even PLAYING them ????

Only Sonos has so far been allowed by Apple to integrate Apple Music into their multi room platform. Your only other options are Android based streamers like Eversolo or Fiio.
@@gorekore762 I know this but if you have Marantz and Denon in house, you do not buy an Eversolo. What I mean is: why TIDAL of Spotify in the music Streaming Services and not Apple Music?

The Heos app is a peace of shit! My Denon X2500H always have an issue with the Heos app. Tidal, Soundcloud, usb playings are not working on it. (Static IP setup finished, network ok, display the selected track but no sound on it.
"To improve the app's funcrtionality" means "to make the app work better". Why can't you guys just speak like people from Earth? You're droning on about how hard you all work to Improve Functionality, but you can't resist dressing it up in jargon. Step 1: ditch the jargon.
Absolutely hate this new version. I am computer literate, but this is maddening. I watched this video, but it's all hype. "Intuitive" for who? Not me, that's for sure. I can use the app to turn on my Marantz amp, but cannot find how to turn it off; this was so straightforward on the prior version. I will probably stop using it. The software with my network server has a much more user-friendly interface.
I'm sorry, I've had to live with HEOS for two years now. The worst user interface I have ever encountered. I dread using HEOS when I strram through my Maranz unit.
