- Okay, this took FOREVER to edit. I have no idea how some people have managed to post these with little to no editing at all, whenever I've tried I get immediately blocked. So. I AM fully caught up, but these are gonna take a while to get out I think.

Fun fact, if you listen to Valentino speaking, you'll hear a faint buzzing sound: that's because the creator of the show added that in post when she learned that moths do that sound (Valentino's design is based on a moth)
Oh, that's really cool! I'll have to go back and pay closer attention to Val's words. I did eventually figure out that Val is a moth, lol, but it took me till episode 4.
I love how the "Characters believe the obvious liar over someone they've known longer" trope is so ingrained in our psyche that we recognize a build-up to it, and are then relieved when it doesn't happen
Hate it as much as the liar revealed and deus ex machina.
It`s like: "Which character you hate the most in Hazbin Hotel and why is it Valentino?"
The title is actually the other way around: 'Radio killed the Video star', a bit of a play on the song's name and the actual result in the episode.
Well, Alex was multiple characters on "Dead end: Paranormal Park" so he's had experience.
I actually saw a post pointing out how that scene where Val shifts the focus to Alastor showcases his manipulation skills. Bc before then, Vox has no interest in the hotel and is trying to drag Val's focus away, but the second Alastor is mentioned Vox is KEYED IN. So Val essentially gets Vox to want to target the hotel by bringing up that information at his convenience, and goads Vox into launching a media attack immediately. So I'd say their manipulation tactics are pretty on par with each other, they just take their opportunities at different junctures depending who's in what sort of mental state at the time.

a little late so you probably already know but yes! hazbin and helluva take place in the same universe :)
hazbin is about the sinners, the human souls who wound up down there. while helluva is more about the hellborn (imps, hellhounds, succubi, the goetia, etc.) and the social classes in place, how it affects everyone’s relationship.
the sinners can’t leave the pride ring, but the hellborn can traverse all the rings
it’s an interesting universe!
