Oh no! You never knew of this song??? Potters House Mass choir version is the best. This song used to make me cry. One of the first songs that actually made me feel like I was feeling God and having an experience. I wish broke down T.D. Jake's version....thank you for this. Edit: I know these chords now but just this just takes me back to when all I had was my beginner's wits. Didn't know how to approach "chord qualities" (love that phrase) but I listened to it over and over and over until I picked out every note. Picked up so many techniques in this one song that translated to everything I learned/played after. Diminished movements, substitutions, everything. Now I'm at a point where I speak and understand the language of advanced instructors like yourself easily. Even when you do breakdowns when you do a full breakdown you still drop in and out little gems of embellishments that still could go over some heads. I love bring able to grab that stuff too. The musical journey is amazing. Keep operating in this gift and thanks again.
@@SeanWilsonPiano here is another version with Kevin Bond doc. Now I feel even worse, because this song ain't new. ua-cam.com/video/X9zQujY3VDQ/v-deo.html Both versions are on point.
I first heard the song in 2008 as rendered by Bishop TD Jakes choir in the album "A wing and a player". Dope chordal movements, though I was still pretty a beginner and could not make sense out of the music then. 👌👌👌
And While I believe Jonathan Nelson wrote this,(I think). GENIUS!!!!! My favorite version to listen to is Meachum Clarke's version!! But this sounds new so Im going to listen to this in full!
That’s not the original bro lol, the original is written by Jonathan Nelson and JP McGee, and Jonathan performed it on his first album. The TD Jakes/Kevin Bond version is iconic of course though for sure!
@@PlayCreatively tbh I haven’t heard a version of the song I didn’t like lol. Justin Savage and Kenny Shelton is a win, Kevin Bond and Mike Bereal is a win...Meachum Clarke did a dope version too. It’s just a veryyyy dope song 😂 I feel like every version is a clinic
Yes sirrr always on point as usual 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🔥🔥🔥 God bless you abundantly for your teaching videos, with your videos I don't just play notes or chords on the piano anymore but I now UNDERSTAND much better why I play this or that specific chord here and there🙏🏽 really grateful. #Suggestion can you do a breakdown on Quennel Gaskin - To God be the glory (Link: ua-cam.com/video/Fc726PzfUkE/v-deo.html )
We used to light the church on 🔥 fire Everytime we did this song. Back in 2012. Very anointed piece of music.
I can imagine!!

Matter of fact check out how Kevin killed that whole album: Wing and a prayer Potters house Chior
Yeah I am gonna look at this song again when I learn it properly... the Bond version is nice, but the recent Nelson version I really like too
Sean are you using a MODX? What sounds are you using? Sounds incredible 😩
I use all Keyscape sounds.... I only use my MODX for practice
Who is playing the piano in the song?
Kenny Shelton from Baltimore
I hope you heard the original bro with Kevin Bonds. I honestly felt they did it injustice, maybe I just like the original and I’m bias. 🤷🏾♂️
