@Camille Black Bears are relatively chill actually. I actually saw one in my neighborhood a few days ago while I was taking a walk, like 50 feet from where I was. They mostly just go around looking for food. They’re scared of humans the way that we are scared of them.

In North America, of all the Bear species it is the Black Bear species which are unpredictable and responsible for the most attacks causing injuries and deaths to people, pets and livestock as well as damage to private property.

Bears are some of the most terrifying land animals on the planet. Can run abt as fast as a horse, climb trees, rip doors off cars, can slice limbs almost clean off with their sharp claws, and have one of the strongest bites in the animal kingdom. Scary creatures for sure 👀
More apologetic than some of the ring camera footage I've seen lately of people kicking doors and ringing the doorbell incessantly. There should be a law against that! The predator actually seemed polite at having interrupted the man. Bless his heart. 💕
smart to keep your cool when approached by a predator ... if he had screamed and ran he would have been seen as prey at that point and the bear would give chase and tackle just in the bear's nature

I think that's because they're predators and they have to be able to sneak up on their prey. So predators are usually stealthier and quieter than prey animals.

Black bears aren’t even aggressive or mean. It’s also the smallest bear out of all of them. If a grizzly or polar bear, that’s a total different story!

Black bears are just amazing creatures and mostly harmless. We need to give them their space and just feel lucky when we get a chance to see one in the wild.
