Vietnamese food is by far my favorite. Never been disappointed.
Preach sister! 😋 Even though I was born in Australia, my tastebuds belong to Vietnam.

I absolutely loved Vietnamese food but growing up I never had it because I’m from the island of Kauai in Hawaii and in the 90s we had not one Vietnamese restaurant or a Vietnamese community but when I moved to the island of oahu I had lots of Vietnamese friends and food shaking beef being my favorite and we have so much Asian veggie markets here it’s easy to find ingredients and it’s healthy too always a protein a veggies of many types and a carbohydrate perfect balanced meals
Yaayyy!! Finally a Viet tasty video! please continue to make more!!❤️👍
Serena Tran u a tran?
You Don’t Know Me I’m a Tran
Serena Tran ok tran...c lay la
Really want to try this. Beef and rice is my all time favorite dish.
The recipe is originally from the South part of Vietnam. The North uses the same beef ingredients except we add some colorful bell peppers in the wok. Overall, great job for those who are taking interests on learning how to cook the South part of Vietnam’s food.
The name is the literal translation of “Bò lúc lắc” (can be read as “baw loop-k laa-k”) ; in which “bò” means “beef” or “cow”, and “lúc lắc” means “waddle” or “shaking”.
Katherine P Nguyen: I like your explanation :)

My family always cook this dish when we have guest or a small party . I've just eaten recently and I extremly like this. When you combine salad and beef , it very tasted
That looks so good love to vietnam
That’s cultural appropriation.
Cheektaro Breejo troll
Thanks! 😊
Thank you for this recipe. My family had no idea what to eat for tomorrow (This was yesterday) so I told her about this video and so then next day (Today) she made it for dinner and we were all satisfied with this dinner.
Thanks Kevin! Just made this dish for dinner. My wife loved it!!
Vietnam has many good food I hope I can see more Vietnam food in tasty, thanks
I really like these types of tasty videos that gives you the “history” of the person & the recipe (where it comes from, etc) . it’s much more interesting than just having background music.
its called shaking beef because you shook the pan a few times.....
what a creative name
This channel always gets me hungry
I just made this recipe. Super delicious! For an East-West, now in CA, some restaurants pour over pasta, like Penne, Cavatappi, etc…Healthier, the Vietnamese way over the bed of watercress, tomatoes, cilantro, and the red onion vinegarette of course!
I'm a Vietnamese American living in a small town in Germany. Salivating/Crying as I eat my basic cold-cut sandwich when I could be flying back to the US for my momma's bo luc lac 😭
I would do the same thing with recipe but I do it a bit differently. I would add some red wine vinegar when the beef is almost done cooking in wok so all the sauce in the pan would be incorporated in with red wine which made an excellent dipping sauce for the beef along with the veggies you had.
I'm half Vietnamese and half Irish, that still counts since my mom is Vietnamese and makes great food because of it.
Aidan McOstrich yes you count cause you have a mom that cooks viet food. win.
Every time I watch your videos it makes me hungry
this beef is quaking
Beef: Omg a pan witb oil.. im shaking
When you're vietnamese and u can't figure our what "shaken" means looking at the title and have to check vietnamese comments and be like "ohhh lúc lắc" anyway your food looks really good and the way you talk abt Vietnam and its cuisine is great, our country is wonderful ❤️ pls keep up the good work
Never tried anything Vietnamese but I would def wanna try this !!! Looks yummy and fresh.
I'm glad you liked it. Most vietnamese dishes are fresh BTW
We call this Loc Lac in Khmer/Cambodian. So cool that SEA countries share food!
I will try to make this. Love Vietnamese food
*bless this man and his moms soul for good taste in food*
When my mom made this dish she would add red bell peppers and onions to the wok too! Memories😊
Yeeesssss!!! All these Vietnamese dishes. I. LOVE. IT. ❤
That beef is shaking and I'm here quaking
When they take a bite and my mouth tenses up a little too like it's somehow gonna get some.
My dad makes this, I didn’t think it was Vietnamese tbh because it didn’t look like the food we ate in Vietnam.
I never pass this up when I go to a Vietnamese restaurant. Usually the restaurants serve it with a French fried rice.
my mom makes this on special dinners! it’s always great!!
So happy that they’re starting to make Vietnamese foods
I didn't use this specific recipe, but my mom makes this all the time for me and its delicious!
It’s called bo luc lac because of the shape of the meat, it’s diced like a... dice actually, which is played by shaking and throwing the dice. At least it’s what I heard from the niece of the guy who created it
even his side salad is authentic though, good job tasty!
Made this today -- just the meat not the salad. Had it over rice and it was delicious!
I live in Vietnam and that is my favorite food
Can't wait to read all the *shaking beef* puns...
Omg I love this in a pho restaurant close to my previous house its so good
being german brings me so much joy!
You can use tomato sauce for Thịt Bò Lúc Lắc
When high school drama is so wild that even the beef is shook
*S H O O K*
omg I love shaking beef(lol I would type it in Viet but I'm lazy) I never cooked it but I'd eat it all the time growing up and always asked for it and like it's really good with salt, pepper and lemon and like all viet foods are amazing and wow I love food
If you finish the dish with a little butter at the end (in Vietnam we use magarine), It wil be on a whole new level :)
More please
Love ur southern accent bro. Thanks for making this
Had it in 1997 @ Slanted Door , San Francisco.
Looks Yummy I’m Vietnamese too
THANK GOD I WAS LOOKING FOR THIS RECIPE
Filipino have tapsilog same but so good
Never been this early! I’m gonna have to try to cook this one day. Haven’t had this forever. Looks delicious!
Plz can u guys make more desserts e.g. Bake. Btw I luv these vids sooooo much
I’m Vietnam too!
this made me smile
So proud of the vietnameses community
out of curiosity, what's the point of shaking the beef? I would get it if he shook it more aggressively to keep the meat moving and distribute the heat to cook the beef through a bit more but that was like very gently shaken...
Love these videos!! Always getting me hungry
Wow looks amazing! Im Creole but Id love to try Vietnam food! ♡
This Is The Easy Vietnamese Stir-Fry
1:37 "bánh xèo" "gỏi cuốn" "bánh mì" those are just perfectly pronounced.

It's just my idea... or... Tasty producers are all adorable?
This is similiar to lok lak. Which is a cambodian dish. We make it quite similiar to this.
*why does UA-cam didn’t show up this video soon...*
*Btw, this is my favorite food!*
*Anyone here Vietnamese?*
I hope you'll teach everyone who love Vietnamese foodhow to cook bánh xèo, bánh mì, phở in Vietnam. My family name is Nguyễn (Nguyen) too :)
no matter what happens, my mom makes our food look so fancy just for this dish, nothing else 👁👄👁
I can relate, I love this dish too
I LOVE BÒ LÚC LÁC SO MUCHHHH!!!!!
I’m not just saying it just because I’m vietnamese but it’s so good
Cultural appropriation much?
oh its called shaking beef?? My family always called it Vietnamese salad because we just mix it with water cress or lettuce. and then we have a small bowl rice with it.. For the beef we just stir-fry it like in the video. But we don't do any shaking lolll and then we also squeeze a slice of lime over the salad.
Making dishes of Vietnamese dishes is very simple
Shaking is a *FUN LITTLE ACTIVITY*
we need more Vietnamese recipes
such an interesting video about foods, i love it
Thịt Bò Lúc Lắc is always good :3
Heyyy so I lived in Paris for a year and there was a restaurant that used to sell a thing called "lok lak rice" and it was FREAKING DELICIOUS! Can someone do a video about it please!!
